Review of Mapleton Court Care Home from Jodie D (Respite Resident) published on 20 May 2026 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience

I was a resident for 2 months after 7 months in hospital. I arrived to Mapleton court still bed bound and unable to do much for myself. Once I arrived I was made to feel welcome, carers come straight to my room, unpack for me, made me comfortable and brought me a drink. The carers labeled my clothes for laundry as I couldn't do this myself. The food was of a brilliant standard. I had spent the time in hospital not eating and a low weight and Mapleton did everything in the kitchen to get me back eating. I didn't take part in activities as I was only 29 but the activities coordinator always made sure to ask if there was anything she could get me. All the carers worked really hard with physio and me, they got me back up walking in 3 weeks. Once I had learnt to walk they would allow me to leave the home daily and be back for medication. It felt like a home from home. Everyone from manager, kitchen, carers, seniors, and domestics made my recovery possible. And I can't thank them enough.THANKYOU

My father is being cared for at Tudor house care home after being in and out of hospital with a serious condition. I am extremely happy with the way he is being cared for, as all the staff are amazing. Nothing is too much trouble, they are so careful and very knowledgeable. Visiting times you are greeted with a smile and a drink if you want one and the staff will give you an update on their condition. The home itself is very clean and well maintained and there is plenty of space to park your vehicle. My father has come to terms with his condition and is very comfortable and happy with the way he is being cared for. In between visiting you can phone and get an update on his health and condition. I cannot praise the staff enough and I would highly recommend this care home to anyone in the same position as myself.

My wife has been resident at Tudor House since June 2025 and during that time i and our immediate family have had no cause to doubt the care and helpfullness of both Management and staff.Whenever we visit they are always friendly and ensure we are comfortable throughout our visits. They have recently sourced a special comfortable adjustable wheelchair that has helped reduce the need to hoist my wife from Armchair to Wheel chair and back again whenever they need to move her for meals visits or even going outside to get some fresh air during the recent warm spell.A bonus was the pre christmas residents, staff and family christmas lunch together at a local Pub.On the whole Myself and family are well pleased with the care my wife is receiving.

Overall Experience

My mum was accepted into Tudor house on Dec 31st 2025, having had a short spell of respite in another care home. Mum sadly has dementia with which she deteriorated dramatically, she'd stopped communicating, eating, drinking, mobility was virtually non existent, she was restless but couldn't sleep, she couldn't be left for any length of time, for fear of her falling and her own safety. I wasn't ready for her to go into a facility however. Tudor house has changed my opinion on that, they welcomed both mum and I, upon arrival, showed us around, allocated a room on approval ,and we instantly felt welcome, the team were sensitive to how we all felt and assured us that mum would have the best possible care. She has now been at Tudor house for 2.5 months , she pretty much settled from day 1, and is now eating & drinking, though assisted, she is never alone and clearly very well looked after. The team is respectful, caring and supportive, and most importantly mum is safe, and happy.

Son of a resident who has recently died. I have been a regular visitor there every Month for many years.
I have found all the staff very helpful and they have always kept me up to date regarding my Mother's health. I have driven over a three hundred mile round trip every Month, the staff know this and I am always made welcome ( with a cup of tea ) I have received phone calls from staff updating me ref health issues.

I am perfectly happy with all the care that My Mother has received and I am very grateful to the Admin and Birch unit staff.

After difficulties with my father in law living at home and often being a wanderer the decision was made for him to live in a care home , Mapleton court was chosen due to the idyllic and beautiful surroundings in the area , the home itself is run by staff who are very knowledgable and well trained in helping service users live life as they would have done at home but with extra help . The home is beautiful and clean and very well led by the management team . My father in law has been there 3 years now and has put weight on and is extremely well looked after , he is a lot happier in himself and has settled right in straight away . The manager ensures all service users recieve person centred care and the residents are of paramount importance to her in ensuring they are happy with the services they recieve , and I am able to chat to the manager if I have any concerns or worries . I cannot recommend Mapleton court enough to anyone wanting to use a care service

My mum has been living at Mapleton Court for a few months. She has dementia and moved in for her safety, but she has settled in really well and made new friends. The staff moved her to a different unit early on so she could be in a more stimulating environment, which has really helped.
The team are always friendly and welcoming when I visit, and it's clear they know the residents well. I've also noticed ongoing improvement and maintenance work, which is reassuring and shows the home is being kept to a good standard.

Overall, I feel confident that Mum is safe, cared for and supported here.

Mum has been in mapleton court for 2 years now due to her Alzheimer's. I moved her here from a previous care home that failed to keep her safe and look after her. I have found all the carer's, cleaners, kitchen staff, laundry, maintenance and management totally commited to their jobs and can't fault them in anyway. They all give me peace of mind knowing mum is safe and looked after in the best possible environment for her by truly caring staff and I can't thank them all enough.

Our Dad moved into this care home very recently from another home nearby who were unable to meet his needs and the care was not to a satisfactory standard; he has advanced vascular dementia and was no longer able to return home after a recent hospital stay. This has been a really difficult and upsetting time for us all but we are happy to see that dad is settling in very well at The Windsor. Our first impression of the home was very good, very clean and nicely presented with newly refurbished bedrooms and brightly furnished comfortable lounge areas. Jomy the senior manager showed us around, we were most impressed with his care and professionalism. The care staff are kind, friendly , compassionate and very caring , they are most attentive to all. Amy the manager has been very supportive and helpful in all of her advice, she is very proactive in ensuring Dad gets great care not only from her team but from outside agencies. We as a family would highly recommend The Windsor.

Mum has been a resident here since April, she initially went in for 2 weeks respite but the move was made permanent. The care she receives is exemplary, nothing is too much trouble for the care team - they genuinely have a great relationship with the residents. We, as family are kept well updated with how mum is doing which is of great piece of mind. So far we have been to two celebrations that have been laid on for the residents - these have been brilliant and everyone is involved.

Our mum is well cared for, secure and safe and we can't ask for more than that.

Thank you for all you do for Mum!

just want to say what a fantastic care home, whenever i have visited the home is clean tidy and very welcoming. all the residents are happy. my nan currently has put on weight and says its like home. staff are treating her like a queen which she was not receiving at the other care home. she has become more happy, she has made some friendship groups and takes part in activities when asked. she always looks very well. hair dressed washed. her room is amazing, nothing is too much trouble for the staff when asked for something they go above and beyond. very friendly and always someone about to speak to. fantastic group of care staff and i am so grateful my nan is now being looked after the way she deserves!

Since the new company took over i have noticed an improvement in every aspect of the care my mum receives. The staff really look after mum and she is always clean and tidy. The meals have also improved and mum is able to choose what she would like to eat. If there is nothing on the menu that mum likes they come up with alternative suggestions.
The Management and staff are always friendly and greet me by name when i arrive to visit mum. The communication between the home and myself has been brilliant. They always ring me whatever time of day to let me know if there is an issue with mum at all.
Mum's room has just been decorated and she was able to choose which wallpaper she would like. It's very much a 'home'.
The floor mum is on is in the process of being decorated at the moment, painting and flooring and looks lovely.

Thank you to the management and staff, from my family and myself for looking after mum so well.
