I was a resident for 9+weeks-taken in after another care home fire. I wish to show my huge appreciation! The professional care, courtesy and empathy shown by the management and staff helped in my recovery from the ordeal. Because of you, darkness turned into light - despair turned into hope. Truly Barony Lodge was my port in the storm! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

Review from Peter B (Cousin of Resident) published on 13 September 2019 Submitted via Postal Card
Overall Experience

My cousin moved into Barony Lodge Care Home in June 2019. After a hospital stay of six weeks and three weeks at a care home after discharge from hospital. When discharged from hospital she was very weak and frail. During the nine weeks at Barony Lodge, we have seen a tremendous change in her. She's very happy living at Barony Lodge. The staff are all very professional, give a great deal of attention to all residents, keeping them very clean and tidy. Meals served in beautiful surroundings, all areas are clean and bedrooms are spacious with a large bed, all excellent.

Thank you got such a lovely review, it is wonderful to hear how well your cousin is doing with us. I will be sure to pass this onto the manager and the team. Best wishes.

Review from Caron H (Daughter of Resident) published on 28 December 2018 Submitted via Website
Overall Experience
My Mum moved into Barony Lodge Residential Care Home in November after spending a long spell in hospital, suffering from severe anxiety, following the sudden loss of my Step Dad.
When my Mum first moved in she was still quite anxious and slightly confused. Six weeks later and her improvement is amazing. The staff have been very supportive and patient with her and although she does still get slightly anxious she is making tremendous progress.
The other residents are all lovely too and the place itself looks more like a hotel than a care home. The lounge/dining area is lovely and all rooms are spacious with ensuite/wetrooms.

Highly recommend it.

My family came for a week but felt so safe and comfortable they wanted to stay and make Barony Lodge their home. The staff are very professional and caring but above all, kind and cheerful. My mother-in-law has not been happier for years. Rather than living alone with eyesight and mobility problems trying to run her house, she now is almost stress-free, has many friends and takes part in lots of activities. My wife and I now sleep without worrying about her wellbeing. Barony Lodge Residential Care Home is wonderful!

I cannot praise this care home enough, from the very first visit I was very impressed with everything about it.
My father is a very difficult person to please but he is just so happy here and even he cannot find fault with anything.
A five-star hotel couldn't be any better.

I really hope the good standards of care continue.

I have worked at Barony lodge for 3 years. I really enjoy supporting the residents in their day to day life. It’s a privilege to support them, and get to know them and find out about their life before coming into a care home. I believe when working in care you should care for residents how you would want a loved one to be cared for.
