My dad has been here for just over a month now and he said himself "that we found the right place for him". We as a family thought that too having experienced others for respite stays - this has surpassed our expectations. The level of care is extremely good and it is consistently reviewed and involving us. There are always lots of visible staff who are always helpful. It is clean and comfortable and he loves the food. In previous homes he's refused to eat or come out of his room so it's lovely to see him integrated into the dining room and chatting with fellow residents. They have managed to keep him cool in this weather too. The activities lady, Caroline has been so welcoming and creates such a lovely atmosphere when mum comes to visit him. We put him here with a view to moving him closer to our home (30 mins drive away) but he likes it so much he will not now move. Can wholeheartedly recommend Briggs Lodge.
Thank you for sharing such heartfelt feedback. We're delighted to hear your dad has settled in so well and feels at home with us. It's wonderful to know he's enjoying the food, companionship and activities, and that our team has helped make this such a positive experience for your whole family. Thank you for your recommendation.
Lovely friendly professional staff. Would always recommend. I have always been impressed with them since mum came to Briggs but last night they were amazing especially Sanjay and Sophie. I was deeply touched Very professional and caring. You can be proud.
Mum is cared for well. She receives good personal care. Regular toileting. Medical attention if needed regularly.
Staff have a good understanding of her diagnosis of Alzheimer's Disease.
There is open visiting times for family and friends to visit.
The food at the home is very good.

My mother was at Briggs Lodge for 3 1/2 years. She was always treated with care and the utmost respect at all times. All staff were incredible and worked extremely well as a team, nothing ever seemed too much trouble. As a visiting relative the care and friendship from all staff was above and beyond mere duty it felt like a second home. Can't praise them enough.

My mum has been at Briggs since February 2025 and the care she receives is great and she seams happy. Mum has made friends with the staff and also some of the residents. The only thing lacking is the ability to have trips out each month - I believe though a minibus is being sought!
Thank you for your kind words. We're so pleased to hear your mum is happy at Briggs and that she's built lovely connections with both staff and residents. It's wonderful to know she feels at home and well cared for. And thank you for your feedback, it has been shared with our team.
Office staff are excellent and supportive
Some care staff are wonderful at their jobs
Lots of facilities available but rarely see anyone using them.
Gardens could be more colourful and would be nice to see more bird feeders around the property
Their care and dedication was second to none. My sister and I were kept up to date on her health and we were informed of any issues.
During Mums last few days after her health deteriorated they gave her the love and respect and dignity she deserved.
We cannot thank them enough for their care and dedication.
The staff are wonderful, from the nurses and carers to the reception and admin staff.

Our team is so dedicated, so it's wonderful to know their efforts have made a difference. We truly appreciate your kind words.
Staff are always pleasant.
When I visited Mum in December:
1. Her bra had not been correctly fitted.
2. Her commode had some excrement in the bowl.
3. The second floor, where Mum's room is, still smells of urine.
Thank you for your feedback about the care and our staff. We're sorry to hear about your concerns - these were not raised with the Home Manager at the time, but she is always available to discuss any issues and her door is always open. We can assure you we have robust cleaning processes in place...

Overall I have no complaints with Briggs Lodge, all the staff are friendly and attentive. We never had an issues with any aspect of my mother's care and only moved her to bring her nearer to my home, otherwise she would still be in residence.
Thank you so much for your kind words about the team at Briggs Lodge. We're delighted to hear that you were so pleased with the care and attention your mother received during her time with us. We wish you and your family all the best and please don't hesitate to reach out if we can ever be of assistance in the future.
The staff are quick to respond to any health problems and keep me well informed if problems arise. They do not hesitate to liaise with the local GP surgery should extra care be needed.
I feel all his health and social needs are very well met with plenty of activities helping him to engage with residents and staff alike.
I would not hesitate to recommend Briggs Lodge for anyone requiring respite or long term care.
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review. We're so pleased to hear that your husband is so happy and settled at Briggs Lodge. Our team is dedicated to providing the best quality care and ensuring their residents are engaged doing the things they enjoy. We're also glad to know that our...
The care provided for my husband has been very good. The atmosphere in the home is pleasant and everyone seems to be happy in what they do. The food is good and plentiful. As someone else has observed, a weak link seems to be in the relationship with the GP, and depends on the feedback between the home and the surgery. There can be long waits to get or change medication and depends on the Nurse Practitioner who visits once a week normally. Similarly, the HQ efficiency is poor. I still have not received a formal request for any funds three months into my husband's stay! One thing that could easily be changed is the very irritating 'phone system. I don't need all the advertising and would like to be able to talk directly to the home.
Thank you for your feedback and your high ratings for so many aspects of the home. We're glad to hear that your husband is receiving such good care and that the happy atmosphere stands out. We apologise for the delays in communication with the GP and the challenges with medication adjustments and...
Friendly and helpful staff. Always seems to be clean and welcoming. The manager, deputy manager and staff are always helpful. Internal coordination and communication are occasionally not as strong as I would wish, but overall, very good.
Thank you for your positive review. We're glad to hear that you find our staff so friendly and the home so clean and welcoming. We appreciate your constructive comments about our internal coordination and will definitely work on improving this, and would really appreciate your input. Your feedback is greatly appreciated thank you.
My mum has been in Briggs Lodge Residential and Nursing Home for over two years now and throughout this time she's had consistently high levels of care and service. Every time we visit the home it's spotlessly clean with staff looking after and interacting with the residents. It seems to have a very good culture and atmosphere inside the home, which is good to know. My mum is very happy there.
Thank you for your kind review for Briggs Lodge. We're delighted to hear that your mum has been consistently well cared for over the past two years and that she feels so happy in the home. It's wonderful to know that our staff's dedication and the positive atmosphere have made such a difference. Your feedback truly means a lot to us, thank you again.
The care has been amazing as my mum isn't mobile and they seem to look after her very well, she is very happy with everything which makes this process so much easier for the family. The rooms are modern with en-suite facilities and very comfortable.
Thank you for your kind review for Briggs Lodge. We're delighted to hear that your mum is happy and so well cared for. Your feedback is greatly appreciated!
