I have to stress that I have visited my friend during an unusual period (Covid), and haven’t seen Walberton as thoroughly as I would otherwise have done. That said, I am very impressed by the skilled care and kindness shown by the staff looking after him. When I started to visit, staff would introduce themselves and update me. The senior nurse has been very reassuring. Reception staff are always welcoming. So, my assessment is incomplete but I feel that my friend is in safe hands.

I should start by saying that for most of my mum's stay I couldn't visit her and haven't seen inside the home since the day she moved in last year. We were initially drawn to Walberton Place due to the facilities, food and activities on offer and because they were still facilitating visits at that time. Though living with dementia, my mum is sociable and enthusiastic still. The activities did seem to be better than her previous smaller care home, the chef more willing to adapt to her requests/needs and she seemed happy as far as we could tell. The level of communication by the home, which we have had to rely on over past months, has been disappointing and several of the staff who were so obliging in the beginning moved on shortly afterwards. That said, I have no reason to doubt the carers at the point of delivery at Walberton Place do anything but a fantastic job, under difficult circumstances, and I look forward to witnessing the care and activities first-hand, hopefully soon.

We had to move our Mum from another care home during the lockdown. The staff were professional and accommodating and the liaison with the Customer Services Manager was exceptional. We have been visiting Mum in the last few months, since the lockdown has eased. She always seems happy and looks well cared for. She displays a lot of affection towards the staff. What could have been an extremely distressing time has been handled with care and Mum maintains her dignity.

My mum was needing more and more supervision and support due to her dementia and living alone. It was a constant worry about her well-being and safety and due to Covid-19 daily interaction with others, was limited. She was getting lonely and fed up, I enquired at Walberton Place after visiting their website and reading care reviews. I was met with a friendly, caring and supportive customer relations manager who helped manage Mum’s move in a speedy manner. The facilities are first class with a fantastic caring team, communication is excellent and nothing is ever too much trouble. Moving Mum to Walberton Place was a decision we needed to make to enhance her quality of life and our families, as we could not provide 24-hour care. As a family, we know she is being well looked after and is safe, she gets the support she needs and is having fun. They have an amazing wellbeing team that ensures the days are filled with stimulating activities in beautiful surroundings.

I have both my mum and my auntie in Walberton Place - auntie was a resident on day one so I think the fact that my mum is also now a resident means that I have been thoroughly happy and impressed with the delivery and standard of care that they both receive. The home is warm and welcoming, even through the strange Covid times. Both my relatives are happy and settled which means that I’m happy. The management team are well lead and seem motivated to deliver great care. So overall, very pleased with our choice to place two very special ladies in the care of Walberton Place.

My brother went for a one week stay in late September and thought Walberton Place care home was lovely. Excellent food and the staff were so kind. He would go back again after lockdown.

I was very impressed with Walberton Place from the first time I visited the home. I was very impressed by the way I was greeted and shown round and everything was explained so well.
The staff are very friendly and very professional in the care that is given. My father is so happy there and nothing is too much trouble.
The home is always clean and very well presented.

I am so pleased I moved my father to this home.

I needed a care home for my father, who was starting to suffer from dementia, when I found the website for Walberton Place. From this point on, I cannot express my thanks enough to the entire Walberton Place Team. My father loved the home when we first went around it, and my mother (with no additional care needs) decided that she also wanted to move in. They were both hugely happy there, I simply couldn’t have found a more loving home for them. The non-stop care, attention and compassion given to my father in his final days was outstanding. The support given to my mother by the home at this time was equally impressive, bearing in mind that this happened when the family was unable to visit. The home has remained COVID-19 free and this is, I am sure, due to the meticulous attention to every tiny detail of healthcare which the nursing staff give to residents. If you are looking for a caring, loving home for anyone on your family, look no further than Walberton Place!

When visiting my friend I was touched by the concern shown to me my a member of staff. The care given extends beyond that given to residents to a consideration of the well-being of those who love them. Thank you.

Walberton Place has to be one of the best care homes around. I chose to stay there to prepare for, and recover from, a very important surgical procedure. I was so glad I did because I needed help to look after myself and Walberton did all the looking after that I needed. All the staff were my friends and were so helpful when needed. I wouldn't have been in the position I'm in now were it not for my stay there. I consider my life has been enriched by both staff, and indeed, fellow residents.

Amazing care home. The home itself is beautiful and well thought out for all residents' needs. The care staff are lovely and have a lot of time for the residents/relatives and friends. They are always doing activities with the residents and family and visitors can join in as well. The food is lovely and if my Grandad wants something else to eat, then they are more than happy to accommodate. From the first phone call to the home to moving my Grandad, it was done with care and communication without any problems. All staff have met my Grandad's needs and it’s so nice to see him so happy and settled.

Keep up the amazing work, you're all doing a fantastic job. Thank you to you all.

First impressions are very positive. The home is new and has been furnished and equipped to a high standard.
Visitors are made very welcome and the service user has made very encouraging remarks about all aspects of her care.
Members of staff spoken to all seem very professional and interact well with the residents.

Difficult to comment on certain aspects as the home is just filling up and only one visit made.

It is always a pleasure visiting my uncle at Walberton Place. He always looks well cared for. The home is beautifully maintained. The staff are kind and considerate. More importantly, my uncle has been encouraged to engage with a wide range of activities which has given him a new lease of life.

I couldn't recommend Walberton Place more highly.
