Family and friends are always made very welcome.
I feel sure that we could not have found a better care home than Lighthouse Lodge. Although it is new, the staff have blended into a happy, helpful team, who all work together.
We are happy that mum is settled in our lovely home, Light House Lodge. The staff are all wonderful, helpful and highly skilled in extending the best of care for all of our residents. We welcome all families and friends alike to enjoy a meal or afternoon tea with us and take part in our extensive...
My brother has been a resident in Lighthouse Lodge since November 2018, it is a wonderful place. The staff are very attentive and caring and always available to help and advise. The facilities and standard of care is second to none. The building is new and all finishes have been completed to a high standard. All the furniture is of good quality and nothing has been scrimped on, only the best has been provided. The location is good and I am looking forward to the summer so we can take nice walks along the seafront. The atmosphere is very homely and warm and you are made to feel welcome by all the staff when we visit. 5-star care and facilities and I would recommend it.
Thank you so much for your lovely review, Light House Lodge is indeed in such a fantastic position, with the seafront just a few steps away. Magnificent views from both our Celebration room & roof garden are second to none. The staff have all been chosen for their sensitivity and understanding...
Pleased to be part of this community.
Thank you for your review Light House Lodge is indeed a wonderful home from home for all of our residents. Lots of activities which do include the residents and integrate with the local community of New Brighton and Wallasey alike. Everyone is welcome to visit and see the splendour that is Light House Lodge. We are so glad you are enjoying your time here with us.
Beautiful surroundings - atmosphere - comfort.
Excellent food.
Amazing activities.
We think this home is outstanding in all aspects of care and safety for our relative.
Thank you.

My aunt has recently moved into Lighthouse Lodge. The staff are showing care and kindness in helping her adjust to living there. I am impressed with the high standard of furnishing and facilities and the homely, welcoming environment. Whilst visiting, I have observed the staff being very perceptive to the needs of the individual and developing good friendly, relationships with residents. To date, my aunt has had opportunity to enjoy events planned by the entertainments team including events outside the care home and I feel this is helping her as she settles into her new lifestyle.
Thank you for your wonderful review on our home, Light House Lodge. There have been and will be plenty of excursions in the future for your aunt and others to enjoy. We have forged links with lots of our community, shops/cafe's/cinema/restaurants even the local train station, where all of our...
My friend has recently come to live at Lighthouse Lodge. It has been a big change for her but the staff are working hard to help her settle in, spending time with her to reassure her and to jolly her along. She has been taken out to the cinema and for afternoon tea, things that she could not do before. As a visitor, I have been made to feel very welcome. I can recommend the cake! This place feels like home from home rather than an institution and I hope that as the number of residents grows it will manage to keep up these high standards. Being a new building the furnishings and decor are excellent.
Thank you for your fabulous review. We are so glad that your friend has settled in well, it is a pleasure to work with all of our residents and families/friends. Everyone is welcome at our home, a home to be proud of. As you say the standards are exceptional and these will be carried on along the...
Mum is living in excellent comfort, treated with dignity and respect. All with the knowledge of being looked after with excellent care and compassion. The staff are marvellous, she’s made friends and loves the salon that’s on site for her still to look and feel nice which she always did when she wasn’t in care. I couldn’t recommend Lighthouse Lodge enough. Knowing my Mum is being looked after so well is priceless.
Thank you so much for your kind words. It is very nice to hear that you feel happy that Mum is with us and that you have made such positive feedback. I will be sure to pass that onto the staff. We are very proud of all of team at Lighthouse Lodge and the high level of care we provide. Thanks again
The building/apartments are superlative.
The reassurance knowing that all residents are so well cared for cannot be underestimated.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It is very rewarding to hear that you are happy with the service provided, I will be sure to pass your lovely comments onto the staff at Lighthouse Lodge.
All aspects of the care have been very good indeed.
The only small (very small) comment I make is that as a '5-a-day' man I would have liked to have seen a bowl of fruit in the dining room.
The staff and I would like to thank you for your lovely review, and we are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Fresh fruit is always available, but we have taken on board to make everyone aware of the availability all day every day. Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely positive comments.
My mother in law has been a resident of the Lighthouse Lodge for six weeks and when I visit the home I find that all the staff and management team are very friendly and helpful. The facilities of the home and en-suite bedrooms are beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Mum is treated with care and dignity and is taking part in social activities provided by the Lighthouse Lodge. The chef and kitchen staff provide well-balanced meals and always ask Mum if she has any food preferences which is very helpful.
Thank you so much for your lovely review and so glad that mum is enjoying her stay here at Lighthouse Lodge. She enjoys all of the activities very much and always participates, we all had a wonderful Christmas there. I will pass your good wishes on to our Chef and kitchen staff, and indeed all of...
This is my first experience of a care home and this home has only been opened for three weeks and I am very impressed. I came in for two weeks respite care and it has worked.
Thank you for your very kind words and your “new” and first experience in a care Home was in Lighthouse Lodge. Glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Dad settled in well thanks to the wonderful care and attention he has received from all staff. They have really made an effort to get to know Dad as a person and they treat him with respect. The facilities are superb, building, lounges with sea views, great food (which is also plentiful). Thank you.

My mum is not in the best of health and can't do much for herself, although she is encouraged to do what she can and this is what she wants.
All the staff are so lovely and caring and in only just over one week have developed a great level of understanding of my mum's needs and nothing is too much trouble for them.
In closing, I would like to thank all at Lighthouse Lodge in New Brighton for the great level of care they have given my mum and the support for the rest of my family.
The staff and manager at Lighthouse Lodge would like to thank you for your lovely review. we are very proud of our home and wonderful staff. Your comments are much appreciated
The Lighthouse Lodge a palace of luxury for those seeking care.
Decorated to the highest standard, rooms spacious and modern, a wet room to envy in most private houses. Food of the highest quality, catering for all tastes in pleasant dining areas.
Comfortable lounge areas outside resident's rooms and superb top floor views overlooking the River Mersey.
Above all - the staff - how the Athena Group have managed to obtain such a professional, caring staff, both to residents and guests is a true credit.
I am deeply indebted to the staff for being so considerate to my 91-year-old Mother, giving her a prolonged lease of life and would recommend the Athena Group and Lighthouse Lodge to anyone who wishes for the best quality of care in their latter years.
Thank you for your lovely response, regarding our new care home, Lighthouse Lodge. I have passed on your kind comments to our staff. They are all indeed wonderful and committed to helping and being there for our residents. We are so glad your mum is settled with us at the Lodge
My family faced a unique situation, in needing to relocate my father from Canada to a care home on the Wirral. From our first phone call with Lighthouse Lodge, I suspected we had found the right place for him. Four weeks later, when we finally walked through the front doors of the Lodge and met the team in person, I knew we had found the right place.
The home manager and her staff are a credit to the elderly care industry… every member of staff is engaging, courteous and goes out of their way to make a connection with both the family members and the residents. In addition, the Lodge itself is magnificent – the rooms are clean, warm, bright and spacious and the common areas offer a welcoming “just like home” environment.
I’ve continued to be impressed with the quality of communication since returning to Canada. I am relaxed knowing that Dad is living in a comfortable environment, where his every need is tended to. I cannot recommend the Lodge and its staff highly enough.
Thank you Andrew, we appreciate you taking the time to give such fantastic feedback on our beautiful home, Lighthouse Lodge. All of our staff are committed to providing the best possible and quality of care experience for all of our residents and it is very rewarding to have their efforts recognised. Thank you once again, I will pass your kind words on to our staff
I joined my wife in this care home having been transferred from another home some miles away. Since I arrived, I have been delighted with the support and care received, much better than the home I left. I find all the staff very polite, helpful and they treat me with dignity and kindness all the time. Nothing is too much trouble and I have been treated like a member of a family.
The staff work as a close team and I feel totally spoilt by the care and understanding they have of my needs. The decor and furnishings are of outstanding quality, but extremely comfortable, a true home from home. My family are welcomed with open arms, with a cuppa, cake and a kind word.
Thanks to the team at Lighthouse Lodge for making my move so smooth.
The Manager and staff would like to thank you for your lovely comments, we are delighted that you are both happy in your new home with your new family.
This is my first experience of being a resident in a care home and I find I am delighted with everything received. I was particularly stressed when I arrived and found the staff exceedingly good to me and my feelings at that time. Quality of service is so good, I would recommend the care here to everyone. There is first class attention to detail for everyone and extreme kindness. The staff have become part of my family, they are so attentive to my needs.
The food is served well and always beautifully cooked. All staff from the cleaners to the manager are so attentive and courteous to all my needs. The standard of decoration is outstanding. What more could anyone wish?
Thank you for your lovely comments and welcome to our New Lodge.
