Sadly Mum only had 10 days in the care home and it was at a difficult time over Christmas, however our family was so comforted that her end of life care was handled professionally & compassionately. She particularly enjoyed the comfort and security of people around her, the lovely meal choices, the decor and cleanliness and the Friday entertainment. For dementia patients/clients, more attention needs to be given to encouraging fluids when the person is unable to initiate this.

To help ensure that our residents have had adequate fluid intake we have regular fluid rounds and encourage residents to drink frequently throughout the day and night. Our care team also monitor sleep patterns and work to create a comfortable environment conducive to rest. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.
