Excellent care home, one of the best homes I've seen. Lovely, caring staff from management, reception, carers and kitchen staff. The only blip has been the electricity issue earlier in the year which was a great concern and hopefully, this has been addressed and won't occur again. Keep up the good work.
(My mum does ask for perhaps more trips outside the home, even over to a coffee shop would be good).

Overall, the care home is great and the residents are looked after very well. Unfortunately, our mother has had two falls in the last two months which has been worrying. The staff are wonderful but don't have eyes on the back of their head and can't be everywhere. We are trusting that the manager and
the team are doing all they can to take care of Mum as she covers. The staff are committed and there is never a shortage of cuddles which is really important for our elders.

All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful and pleasant. My relative was nicely dressed and was in the sitting area with other clients. The home was very clean and tidy. Has good security for clients. Overall, happy with the care my relative is getting.

I was apprehensive initially. Taking my father from the family home and installing him in an unfamiliar environment was a decision which took us a long time to come to. We visited many homes, both in Glasgow and Lanarkshire. Bothwell Castle Care Home appealed immediately. There is a sense of calm and
quiet unhurriedness. Staff are professional and pleasant. The food is delicious and the decor is tasteful and well-maintained. The entertainment is first-class. My father has settled very well.

We are very happy with the care our mum receives at Bothwell Castle Care Home. Mum always looks smart on our visits. Staff are welcoming and always ready to answer any questions we may have. The atmosphere is calm and not all stressful. There are always lots of activities on offer to engage our mum.

My mother moved into Bothwell Castle Care Home at the end of August and initially was not very settled. The staff worked hard to try and put her at ease and get to know her likes and dislikes and kept in touch with me regularly to update me during what was a difficult period. My mother has, as a result,
settled well and now wants to sit in the living room, obviously feeling comfortable in the company of the staff and other residents. I have continued to be reassured by the ongoing care and attention she receives. She has started to eat more enthusiastically now that the staff are more aware of the foods she prefers. All in all, I am satisfied with the care my mum is receiving. She seems as happy as I could expect her to be, given she has dementia and in care.

My gran has really settled the last few months. The staff always speak really fondly of her and she is always happy to see them.

I was attending a birthday celebration for my mum in the care home. The carers were extremely helpful and attentive to every aspect of the day. The dining room was beautifully presented for the guests that attended and everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable day.
It was such a treat to hear my mum's laughter.

With the additional member of the activities staff, hopefully, more activities within the home.
Maybe at least monthly a theme day with a 'take away' for the residents.
Agency staff is a concern, especially at weekends. Hopefully, this will improve with additional members of staff in the future.

My sister moved back to Scotland from Australia to be near to family. She has been diagnosed with mixed dementia and had no family left in Australia. She moved into Bothwell Castle in April and the staff have made her and all her family very comfortable. They have made sure she is safe and consulted

My sister has been a resident for 5 months and the care and devotion of the staff has been very impressive. The staff keep abreast of my sister's illness and deterioration and responds quickly, compassionately and attentively to each change to ensure her happiness and safety at all times.
The number
one priority in the home is the safety and well-being of their residents and this is shown by all the staff, from housekeeping to the managers and everyone else in between. Everyone is welcoming and friendly and nothing is too much bother.
The facilities and surroundings are impressive, well-maintained and accessible to residents and visitors. The bedrooms are calming and individualised to each resident.
The well-being and activities programmes are amazing and there is always something going on, whether it is inside or out, it is catered and tailored to meet the needs of all the residents.
It is peace of mind that our sister is in a secure, safe, happy and compassionate environment.

All the staff have been kind and helpful from the start and nice to see the friendly welcome that my sister received and the reassurance that they have given her to help her to settle into her new surroundings. The home has provided regular updates on my sister's health and well-being and the communication
