Bothwell Castle

My mum is happy and content and encouraged to take part in most of the activities.

Feel my dad is safe and cared for. Requires encouragement to eat/drink often however staffing levels do not always allow time for this. Many staff show care and attention not only to my dad but to the whole family.

My dad has been a resident within Bothwell Castle Care Home since July 2024 and I cannot thank all the care home staff for the care and attention given to Dad, especially during the first couple of months to get him settled. Staff are very professional, polite and go above and beyond. I am always kept up to date or informed of any concerns.

No complaints whatsoever.

I am delighted with the care my mother receives, individually tailored to her needs. I feel very welcome when visiting and am always pleased when staff take time to update me on my mother's well-being and any changes. I am very happy with the facilities and my mother's own room. Activities on offer are great and I feel my mother is encouraged and assisted to participate. I would and have recommended Bothwell Castle Care Home.

My relative seems to have settled and can't praise the staff highly enough, she is well fed and happy in her surroundings.

Excellent care home, one of the best homes I've seen. Lovely, caring staff from management, reception, carers and kitchen staff. The only blip has been the electricity issue earlier in the year which was a great concern and hopefully, this has been addressed and won't occur again. Keep up the good work. (My mum does ask for perhaps more trips outside the home, even over to a coffee shop would be good).

Overall, the care home is great and the residents are looked after very well. Unfortunately, our mother has had two falls in the last two months which has been worrying. The staff are wonderful but don't have eyes on the back of their head and can't be everywhere. We are trusting that the manager and the team are doing all they can to take care of Mum as she covers. The staff are committed and there is never a shortage of cuddles which is really important for our elders.

I enjoy the cups of coffee the staff provide for me.

All the staff we came into contact with were very helpful and pleasant. My relative was nicely dressed and was in the sitting area with other clients. The home was very clean and tidy. Has good security for clients. Overall, happy with the care my relative is getting.

I was apprehensive initially. Taking my father from the family home and installing him in an unfamiliar environment was a decision which took us a long time to come to. We visited many homes, both in Glasgow and Lanarkshire. Bothwell Castle Care Home appealed immediately. There is a sense of calm and quiet unhurriedness. Staff are professional and pleasant. The food is delicious and the decor is tasteful and well-maintained. The entertainment is first-class. My father has settled very well.

We are very happy with the care our mum receives at Bothwell Castle Care Home. Mum always looks smart on our visits. Staff are welcoming and always ready to answer any questions we may have. The atmosphere is calm and not all stressful. There are always lots of activities on offer to engage our mum. Thank you.
