My name is Will, and I have been working in care homes for 20 years, starting my career as a domestic and kitchen assistant before taking on the role of care assistant and working my way up the ranks. I qualified as a registered mental health nurse in 2018 and have continued to work in care homes as I am very passionate about elderly, dementia and palliative care. I was originally over at Canniesburn Care Home before it closed for refurbishment. I was asked to come over to Bothwell for a couple of weeks to help with Admin cover and I have been here ever since.
I love my role her at Bothwell Castle, the staff are very friendly and welcoming, their is a great atmosphere around the place.
I also enjoy interacting with the residents and getting to know them a bit better and meeting their family members.
Fun Fact about me- I did a sky dive for charity about 5 years ago which was totally amazing.
