We were all very sad when Dad's dementia made it impossible for him to remain in his own home, but we could not have asked for a nicer new home for him. From first contact right through to his death over 2 years later, he was treated like a family member by all the staff. He was always comfortable,
well cared for, well fed and encouraged to join in with activities. We were given regular updates on his care and frequently called if we had any concerns or special requests. The kind and caring staff at Graysford made Dad's last 2 years as comfortable as they could have been, and they treated him with the ultimate dignity and respect in his last few days. It was touching to see how close so many members of staff were to him, it really felt like he had been with family and friends rather than 'away from home'.
Reply from Sorina Tanasa, Home manager at Graysford HallThank you so much for your heartfelt words. It means a great deal to all of us to know that we were able to make your dads time with us comfortable and filled with care and warmth. He was truly a cherished part of our Graysford family, and it was an honour for us to support him and your family throughout his journey. Your kind recognition of the teams compassion and dedication will be deeply appreciated by everyone here. Sending our sincere thanks and warmest wishes to you and your family.

Overall we have been happy with the care provided at Graysford Hall. It's an attractive buiding and the rooms are spacious. My father does not mix with other residents so one of our concerns is lack of stimulation and the care team are aware. Management of the home has had its challenges and there have
been 3 managers to date, which is difficult for staff & carers. Previously, there have been issues with weekend staffing, particularly management, but I understand this is being addressed. Personal care has been good & they have been very kind to my father.
Reply from Ronni Jones, Customer Relations Manager at Graysford HallThank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased to hear that you are happy with the care your father receives and that you find our home attractive and welcoming. We also appreciate your honesty regarding the challenges you've observed, including management changes and weekend staffing, and we want to assure you that we are actively addressing these areas to provide consistent support for both our residents and staff.

It's encouraging to know that the personal care and kindness of our team have made a positive difference for your father. Your feedback is very valuable to us as we continue to improve and ensure all our residents feel stimulated, supported, and well cared for.

Facilities and staff are all amazing - the improvement in Dad's health has been incredible while he has been a resident here. His bedroom is much bigger (and nicer) than other care homes I looked at, lovely garden, the food is tasty and there are plenty of trips and activities. It's great that friends
and relatives (and pets!) are encouraged to visit and all have said how welcome they have felt. Communication with the family has also been exceptional, which is so valuable during a stressful time.
Reply from Sorina Tanasa, Home manager at Graysford HallIt's truly heartwarming to hear about the positive impact Graysford Hall has had on your dad's health and wellbeing. We're also really pleased to know that you and the rest of the family (including the pets!) have felt so welcome here. Staying connected with loved ones is incredibly important, and we'll always do our best to keep those bonds strong with open and clear communication. Thank you again for your kind words and support - it really does mean a lot to all of us.

My dad was initially reluctant to move out of his home into residential care but his move to Graysford Hall has gone very well.
The facilities for the residents are excellent with superb gardens for the residents to relax in when the weather allows. My dad has settled quickly into his spacious and
well fitted room.
The staff are all very helpful and friendly and nothing seems too much trouble to them. My dad has made new friends and got to enjoy a number of the activities which are regularly on offer. Dad has always enjoyed his food and is well pleased with the variety and quality of food at Graysford.
Friends who have visited dad have unprompted commented how impressed they are with the staff and facilities at Graysford Hall.
Reply from Sorina Tanasa, Home manager at Graysford HallThank you so much for your kind words. It truly means a lot to hear that your dad has settled in well at Graysford Hall, especially after the big step of moving from his own home. We know how important that transition can be, and the team works hard to make everyone feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for from the very beginning. We're really pleased he's enjoying his room, the food, the garden, and of course-making new friends and getting involved in the activities. That's exactly the kind of experience we want our residents to have.

I have been visiting Graysford three or four times a week for over six months to visit a resident that I cared for, for over five years, when she was living independently. My overall opinion of Graysford is excellent, staff work very hard to make life for their residents as pleasurable as possible,
they are friendly and helpful. The surroundings are beautiful and the day to day running of Graysford is excellent. I would highly recommend to my family and friends.

The only reason that I awarded food and drink anything less than excellent is because my aunt likes her tea very hot and it is only served warm - no doubt due to safety, residents could be scalded. Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.120)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.120) out of 10 for Graysford Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 10 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.795 for Graysford Hall is calculated as follows: ( (101 Excellents x 5) + (9 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 117 Ratings = 4.795
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.325 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Graysford Hall is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 = 3.7
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 registered maximum number of service users is 14.4. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.625
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My name is Sorina Tanasa, and I’m proud to be the Home Manager at Graysford Hall.

Originally from Romania, I completed my nursing studies before moving to the UK, where I began my journey in care as a healthcare assistant. After receiving my UK nursing registration, I worked as a nurse, then progressed to Clinical Lead, and in 2022, became a Home Manager. I’ve also had the responsibility of managing two care homes, which helped strengthen my passion for leading with empathy and ensuring the highest standards of care.

Caring runs in my family; my mother and grandparents were all nurses, and I’ve always believed that kindness, dignity, and genuine human connection should be at the heart of everything we do. Graysford Hall is more than just a workplace to me; it’s a community and a home. I’m here to listen, to support, and to make sure every resident feels safe, valued, and truly cared for.
