This home took my parents at short notice and were thoroughly helpful and professional throughout. This is a new home and is finished to an extremely high standard. All the staff are first-class people and are prepared to go the extra mile to see to residents' needs. I have been particularly impressed
by the quality of the care which has so far been faultless. My parents have similarly been most impressed by everyone at the home and the care and kindness that they have received.

Mum was due to stay at Graysford Hall for a two-week respite stay following discharge from hospital, but unfortunately only got to stay for two nights as she had to go back to hospital. I say unfortunately because Graysford Hall is so lovely, I was looking forward to her enjoying her stay - so much
so that I thought she might even like to live there. Put it this way, I cried when I was shown around during a pre-stay meeting - every elderly person deserves a care home of this standard. Not just the gorgeous decor, etc. but the care and attention of the staff.
The communication with the home pre and during the stay was so helpful and reassuring during what was a very stressful time. The personalised welcome was a lovely touch for Mum and there was nothing that was too much trouble - for Mum, me or my seven-year-old, who was treated to a private cinema screening with popcorn whilst we got Mum settled in. Mums back home now, which isn’t going so well so Graysford Hall may well still be her next home.

Thank you so much for your lovely review. We hope your mum is ok, sad to hear she isn't, but are happy to assist you in the future. The kettle is always on.

'Wow' amazing, brilliant staff are fantastic. My mom stayed in for two weeks whilst we were on vacation. She was so happy and on our return, the staff including the chef, were there to say goodbye. The place is superb and would recommend to all. Thank you. My mum will be returning as a resident in the
near future.

Current Review Score: 9.0 (8.970)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.0 (8.970) out of 10 for Graysford Hall is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 8 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.2 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.784 for Graysford Hall is calculated as follows: ( (77 Excellents x 5) + (4 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 88 Ratings = 4.784

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.186 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Graysford Hall is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 registered maximum number of service users is 14.4. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 14.4 = 0.486

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

My name is Sorina Tanasa, and I’m proud to be the Home Manager at Graysford Hall.

Originally from Romania, I completed my nursing studies before moving to the UK, where I began my journey in care as a healthcare assistant. After receiving my UK nursing registration, I worked as a nurse, then progressed to Clinical Lead, and in 2022, became a Home Manager. I’ve also had the responsibility of managing two care homes, which helped strengthen my passion for leading with empathy and ensuring the highest standards of care.

Caring runs in my family; my mother and grandparents were all nurses, and I’ve always believed that kindness, dignity, and genuine human connection should be at the heart of everything we do. Graysford Hall is more than just a workplace to me; it’s a community and a home. I’m here to listen, to support, and to make sure every resident feels safe, valued, and truly cared for.
