Luxuriously furnished with a cosy feel with various lounges which are perfect for socialising, to a cinema room, bistro area and hairdressing salon, there’s plenty to keep residents engaged. With landscaped gardens and wind-proof glazed balconies providing outdoor seating all year round.

Safety and comfort are a foremost concern, so all rooms are fitted with a nurse call system and acoustic monitoring for residents' peace of mind. As well as improving quality of sleep, acoustic monitoring can help to reduce the risk of falls. For those living with memory loss or dementia, design features include dementia-friendly elements such as interior decoration, light levels, floor coverings and signage which help to promote a sense of calm and wellbeing, while enabling people living with dementia to find their way around independently and safely.

During the Covid crisis, my visits to my father have been limited. Not only because of Covid lockdowns but also it is more often than not a two-hour journey for me.
During both lockdowns being isolated on my own has certainly been challenging to say the least. The staff have all been amazing with Dad.
Keeping him safe and sharing video calls.
Above all, I would like to thank the lady on reception.
She went and is still going above and beyond making sure I was ok. I cannot thank you enough you were so kind and really helped me when at rock bottom.
All the staff work so hard, it’s lovely to see Dad looking so animated, participating in all the events you all arrange. He is calm, happy and looks so content. Thank you.

My Mum moved into Broadbridge Park about a month ago. It was such a hard decision but it really couldn’t have been made any easier. All the staff from the management team to the care workers are fantastic. Mum has settled so well and is really enjoying her life here. The rooms are lovely and they’ve
helped to make it homely for her, she loves her garden view and spends a lot of time outside also. Can’t fault it at all.

We were impressed with our introduction to Broadbridge Park, the comfort and care for the residents. Subsequently, considering the problems caused by the virus, we feel the staff have done an outstanding job in keeping residents safe and as much as possible, spirits raised. Our suggestions to improve
the experience might be to have a small shop for personal items. Mum would also enjoy a more frequent bath.

Mum has been a resident at Broadbridge Park since November. She has been quite happy there, therefore, I am quite happy too! She loves the staff and is always telling me how kind and friendly they are. Obviously, since covid, I am not able to visit Mum as often as I would like, but the staff seem to
have been going over and above in their caring duties and cheering her up when she gets a bit sad about the lack of family visits. Maybe more communication between staff and family could be improved.

In October 2019, my mother moved to Broadbridge Park from another Horsham care home which wasn't completely working out. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I made that move. The difference was amazing. All carers at Broadbridge Park make relationships with the residents and they are so kind. After
several years of having to keep a close eye on the medication and the dispensing of it, I could finally let go with confidence as the nurses were great. Mum's dementia got to the point where she had to be in the dementia area and the atmosphere there was wonderful. The carers were so skilled at going with whatever Mum had in her mind at the time. She ate what she wanted, when she wanted it. She could have a bath at 2am if she decided that was what she wanted! At the end of her life she was treated so well and you could see that she really appreciated what was done for her. She felt at home and she trusted the carers and that was so important when I couldn't be there for so long due to COVID

My gran lives at Broadbridge Park, and as a family, we usually visit several times a week. At the moment due to Covid restrictions, we haven’t been able to visit, but the care home staff have kept us well informed and ensured we have an alternative way of contacting our family members throughout the
pandemic.
I enjoy visiting my gran at Broadbridge Park, we are always made to feel welcome by the staff who stop and have a chat. It’s lovely Grans got company, communal areas to have a cup of tea with friends, activities throughout the day, and is being so well cared for by the staff. We have shared meals with Gran on a few visits, and we all enjoyed the food. We often walk around the grounds and enjoy the fresh air. It’s lovely to see Gran happy, content and to know she’s being well looked after.

We are really pleased with the support and care that my father is receiving. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff. Without exception, we have found all very helpful, really patient and considerate despite dealing with some challenging behaviour from dad at times. He was extremely reluctant
to consider any residential care home but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the building and the facilities offered. Following a period in hospital, we were fortunate that Broadbridge Park was able to take dad a bit earlier than originally planned and he is now happy in his new surroundings.
All the support required is also well thought through, an excellent GP who calls weekly and where again, really constructive, nothing seems too much trouble, he is willing to listen carefully to any issues and liaises positively with both the care home management and the family. We feel that it is very much a partnership supporting our father and we are very grateful.

David Taylor

Job Title: Home Manager

I am proud to have been appointed as Manager at Broadbridge Park and to be working with Caring Homes. I hold qualifications in Adult and Children’s Nursing and in my younger days I served in the Royal Air Force. I trained as a nurse in Norwich and my NHS career was in Accident and Emergency Nursing. I worked in the Saudi Arabia Commission and Emergency Room prior to beginning my Care Home Management Career 16 years ago.


More recently I was managing a care home in Jersey, Channel Islands, for Caring Homes before being appointed at Broadbridge Park. My hobbies centre around training Newfoundland dogs in water work and draught (carting) work trails. You may see one of my Newfoundland’s at the home during the week!
