My aunt has been at Broadbridge Park, Horsham for 18 months and during that time she has been looked after very well. The staff have been very kind and caring. She receives a good choice of meals and looks forward to her Irish cream and wine each day. Her room is bright and airy and always clean. Of
course, my aunt would prefer to be in her own home, but at the age of 99, she remains safe and happy, which is important to her and me.
Reply from Karen Grainger, Home Manager at Broadbridge ParkThank you for taking the time to leave us a review, we are so pleased to read your positive comments about the care your Aunt is receiving and the recognition of the team at Broadbridge Park. We think it’s lovely that your Aunt is still enjoying a daily tipple at 99 years of age! Your feedback has been passed on to the team.

Kipling Landing - washing and changing my mother, one member of staff has so much patience with an abusive mother of mine; she (the staff member) was so gentle and supportive, kind and softly spoken. Her treatment of my mother brought tears to my eyes. One human displaying nurturing and gentleness to
another angry and confused woman was amazing to witness. A big thank you. I appreciated the staff so much; they put up with so much from the residents.
Reply from Karen Grainger, Home Manager at Broadbridge ParkThank you for taking the time to leave us a review Deborah and for your kind words and recognition of the team at Broadbridge Park. We really appreciate you sharing your positive experiences of the care given to your mother. The care and services we deliver as a team to our residents and families are extremely important to us. Your feedback will be shared with the team, who will be delighted with your five-star review.

Myself, my daughter and son went to visit my auntie. She has been in this care home for a couple of years now. Firstly Broadbridge Park was exceptionally clean throughout. My auntie was about to visit the hairdresser (within the home) we were offered free beverages by a lovely member of staff.
The
staff at Broadbridge are pretty amazing their dedication to residents clearly shows. I was so impressed by their commitment and professionalism Broadbridge is located in Horsham. Myself and my adult children are of Indian origin. We couldn't have been made to feel more welcome. It was a very pleasant surprise. The manager was warm and inviting. Broadbridge in my opinion should be given 5 stars not just for their genuinely caring staff. But also making family and friends feel so welcome and at home.
Thank you so much for your kindness.

We could not be happier with placing my father-in-law at Broadbridge Park. The staff are so warm and responsive. The property is so beautifully appointed, spacious and tastefully decorated with gorgeous gardens. For my father-in-law's security needs, he is brilliantly catered for. Frankly, I would
be happy here! Highly recommend!

I have been in Broadbridge Park Care Home for over two years (February 2020). In that time the staff numbers seem to have deteriorated - with agency staff having to be called in. The quality of meals seems to have changed a little in the time I have been here. It was never as good as home but I never
expected anything different. I am looked after much better than when I was at home. Hair and nail arrangements are made. Other facilities do not suit me but that does not worry me too much.
I think the idea of a monthly meeting with the management is a good idea but it is not followed up as it should be.
Finally, I would like to say thank you to all those who helped me over a bad patch six months ago when my younger son (64) died suddenly and who had my power of attorney on my finances. I was glad there were people available to help me.
Reply from Home Manager, Home Manager at Broadbridge ParkThe quality of care and resident satisfaction at Broadbridge Park is our absolute priority, and we would like to thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. On every visit to my mother, all the staff are so welcoming and friendly. Every time the doctor visits or medication changes they phone me and explain what and why. Also, I get a regular update on her condition and how she is - they seem to understand her perfectly. This caring attitude goes for all
the staff - reception, nursing staff, carers and housekeeping - everyone I come in contact with. I cannot praise them enough for their care.

During the Covid crisis, my visits to my father have been limited. Not only because of Covid lockdowns but also it is more often than not a two-hour journey for me.
During both lockdowns being isolated on my own has certainly been challenging to say the least. The staff have all been amazing with Dad.
Keeping him safe and sharing video calls.
Above all, I would like to thank the lady on reception.
She went and is still going above and beyond making sure I was ok. I cannot thank you enough you were so kind and really helped me when at rock bottom.
All the staff work so hard, it’s lovely to see Dad looking so animated, participating in all the events you all arrange. He is calm, happy and looks so content. Thank you.

My Mum moved into Broadbridge Park about a month ago. It was such a hard decision but it really couldn’t have been made any easier. All the staff from the management team to the care workers are fantastic. Mum has settled so well and is really enjoying her life here. The rooms are lovely and they’ve
helped to make it homely for her, she loves her garden view and spends a lot of time outside also. Can’t fault it at all.

We were impressed with our introduction to Broadbridge Park, the comfort and care for the residents. Subsequently, considering the problems caused by the virus, we feel the staff have done an outstanding job in keeping residents safe and as much as possible, spirits raised. Our suggestions to improve
the experience might be to have a small shop for personal items. Mum would also enjoy a more frequent bath.

Mum has been a resident at Broadbridge Park since November. She has been quite happy there, therefore, I am quite happy too! She loves the staff and is always telling me how kind and friendly they are. Obviously, since covid, I am not able to visit Mum as often as I would like, but the staff seem to
have been going over and above in their caring duties and cheering her up when she gets a bit sad about the lack of family visits. Maybe more communication between staff and family could be improved.

In October 2019, my mother moved to Broadbridge Park from another Horsham care home which wasn't completely working out. I cannot tell you how glad I am that I made that move. The difference was amazing. All carers at Broadbridge Park make relationships with the residents and they are so kind. After
several years of having to keep a close eye on the medication and the dispensing of it, I could finally let go with confidence as the nurses were great. Mum's dementia got to the point where she had to be in the dementia area and the atmosphere there was wonderful. The carers were so skilled at going with whatever Mum had in her mind at the time. She ate what she wanted, when she wanted it. She could have a bath at 2am if she decided that was what she wanted! At the end of her life she was treated so well and you could see that she really appreciated what was done for her. She felt at home and she trusted the carers and that was so important when I couldn't be there for so long due to COVID

My gran lives at Broadbridge Park, and as a family, we usually visit several times a week. At the moment due to Covid restrictions, we haven’t been able to visit, but the care home staff have kept us well informed and ensured we have an alternative way of contacting our family members throughout the
pandemic.
I enjoy visiting my gran at Broadbridge Park, we are always made to feel welcome by the staff who stop and have a chat. It’s lovely Grans got company, communal areas to have a cup of tea with friends, activities throughout the day, and is being so well cared for by the staff. We have shared meals with Gran on a few visits, and we all enjoyed the food. We often walk around the grounds and enjoy the fresh air. It’s lovely to see Gran happy, content and to know she’s being well looked after.

We are really pleased with the support and care that my father is receiving. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff. Without exception, we have found all very helpful, really patient and considerate despite dealing with some challenging behaviour from dad at times. He was extremely reluctant
to consider any residential care home but was very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the building and the facilities offered. Following a period in hospital, we were fortunate that Broadbridge Park was able to take dad a bit earlier than originally planned and he is now happy in his new surroundings.
All the support required is also well thought through, an excellent GP who calls weekly and where again, really constructive, nothing seems too much trouble, he is willing to listen carefully to any issues and liaises positively with both the care home management and the family. We feel that it is very much a partnership supporting our father and we are very grateful.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.759)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.759) out of 10 for Broadbridge Park is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 30 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.759 for Broadbridge Park is calculated as follows: ( (274 Excellents x 5) + (68 Goods x 4) + (6 Satisfactorys x 3) + (1 Very Poors x 1) ) ÷ 349 Ratings = 4.759
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Broadbridge Park is based on 30 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 71 registered maximum number of service users is 14.2, which has been reached with 30 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
