Our all inclusive fee gives peace of mind and allows residents to enjoy our facilities and services without having to worry about extra costs. It includes a monthly appointment at our onsite hair salon, regular chiropody appointments, a full and varied activity program, annual eye tests, annual dental check ups and transport and accompaniment to medical appointments where necessary.

There was a misunderstanding with medication at the beginning. What should have happened is that the medication was queried with the GP, but instead it was just omitted. We brought this to their attention and the mistake was rectified.
However, a simple conversation with the manager face to face would
have been appreciated.

This was my first visit to Handley House and my first impressions were very good from the point of entering reception. The staff are extremely kind and helpful and mum seemed very happy and content here.
Both mum and I enjoyed lunch together in a nice and airy dining room shortly after I arrived.
The food was fresh and hot with sufficient choice. Mum's room is lovely overlooking the garden - very fresh and clean with excellent en-suite facility.
All the family are now content that mum is being well looked after and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Handley House to friends and family.

Mum is only in for short respite and although didn't want to come she settled quickly. The staff have been lovely. I have asked mum to be prompted on some aspects of her own care and this has been carried out. Although mum wants to go back to her home she has been happy while on holiday at Handley.

Every time I come and see grandad he is happy and content. In such a short period of time, he seemed to have made great bonds with the staff. The staff have always shown great care and always check if he is ok. The staff are always lovely to talk to and make myself, my daughter and dog feel welcome.
It is lovely to visit without the worries.

Mum came here for 2 weeks respite while I was on holiday.
She was well cared for during her stay and said all the staff were very good and kind.
They included her in daily activities and made her feel at home.

Lisa joined Ideal Carehomes as Regional Director in 2018. She has worked in the care sector for 23 years, starting as a personal carer and working her way up to senior management. Lisa has worked at regional level for the past five years, supporting homes across Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and the Midlands, and before this she has a wealth of experience in managing residential and dementia care homes.
