The level of care at Alban Manor is simply incredible. Every time I visit, I am bowled over by the sensitivity, compassion, generosity and understanding afforded to our mother who is suffering from Alzheimer's. It is a warm and welcoming place where every smile is genuine and every effort made to make the residents feel safe and calm. The facilities are impressive, the activities extensive and the level of comfort exceptional. My sister, brother and myself are so very happy we found Alban Manor for our mother.
J our mum moved to Alban Manor Care home a month ago. It was a distressing time for her ( and us) but the experience was made so much easier because the staff made considerable efforts to welcome her and our family . We continue to be very impressed with the care she is receiving. Nothing is too much for the staff to help her settle and we know she is safe and well looked after. Her care is highly personalised.
The home offers a homely environment for someone with dementia and staff deliver kind and compassionate care. This home is clearly well led and managed by the Matron , her deputy and team leaders and we are so glad that we chose Alban Manor over the other 9 we visited.
It means a great deal to know that the care provided is appreciated.
Kindness and compassion are some of our values , well embedded in the Home's culture. Your feedback is truly valued. I will share your compliments with everyone involved.
Thank you again for taking the time to let us know about your positive experience.
Kind regardsMatron
The staff at Alban Manor made a very difficult experience so much easier for us. We chose them for respite care for my dad (who has dementia) to give mum a much needed break. Ionela in particular was so helpful from the start - and all staff we encountered were so smiley and helpful. We were kept regularly updated and felt very reassured that dad was in kind and capable hands. We extended the stay from 2 weeks to 4 weeks and will definitely plan to repeat the experience.
Best wishes. Thank you
My mother is a long term resident at Alban Manor. It is an excellent nursing home with incredibly dedicated and professional staff. They work tirelessly to provide the best care. I am very grateful to the staff who are all permanent and well managed.
We are here to give the best care to our residents. Your mum is very much loved by all.
Thank youKind Regards
Matron
I'm grateful for the care and dignity shown to her, by nurses and carers, as they met her needs throughout her final two and a half years. The entire management and staff were always helpful and kind. Mum appreciated their attentiveness and enjoyed her friendships with many of them, as well as with other residents.
There were plenty of opportunities for entertainment and social interaction, and Mum enjoyed a good quality of life, despite her failing health.
Alban Manor was always a nice place to visit, and it was reassuring to know that Mum was comfortable, safe and well looked after when we were not there.
I would definitely recommend you visit and consider if you are in need of a great nursing home.
We know she was settled and really appreciated all of our team. She was very much part of our family, residents and staff.
She is missed by all.
Best wishes

Due to her poor health she wasn't able to join in with many activities but the staff spent time with her in her room and she really enjoyed getting to know them.
From a personal perspective I will remember the kindness the staff showed to me in her final days for a very long time.
I would thoroughly recommend Alban Manor.

My Dad has been with Alban Manor Nursing Home for 3 years, and the staff have always been exceptionally friendly and helpful. They regularly go above and beyond to help, even late into the evening. They also clearly know the details of all their residents as any of the staff could answer questions on what my dad had been up to. Access the garden was a great benefit when dad was able. And again, when able, my dad appreciated the various trips and outings that the home ran. The home was always spotlessly clean and well presented. I'd thoroughly recommend Alban Manor to anyone.
Our good wishes goes to both of you.
Thank you for your lovely comments and appreciation.
We still think of your parents , such lovely people.
Thank you againKind regards

My father was cared for by the amazing staff at Alban manor for the last 8 weeks of his life, as we could no longer meet his care needs at home. The team were incredible and the care they gave my father was second to none. We couldn't have been more grateful for the love and support we were all shown by the staff. The end of life care he received ensured his death was peaceful and pain free and he had the dignified death that he deserved A special thank you to Carmela, Charlotte and Godwin for their love and support we will always remember your outstanding care and kindness. Thank you all.
Dear Kendall and all family

My husband was a resident at Alban Manor for 2 1/2 years. During this time, I have been very happy with the level of care. I have been particularly pleased with the welcoming reception from all the staff and management, who always treated him with respect throughout his stay. Alban Manor does a great job to brighten the days of their residents, including outings to the pub, garden centres, as well as in-house entertainment such as sports, live music, arts and crafts and visits from the ice cream van.
We miss you both.
Best wishes!Matron
Looking for the right placement for her took us far and wide and our daughter and I visited a number of homes before we found Alban Manor. From the initial meeting and tour of the home it was obvious that this would be our preferred choice, and six months on we were so right.
The warmth of welcome from day one has not diminished, a fact echoed by her many visitors who speak in glowing terms about the staff and facilities provided there. For us as a family we at last have some peace and can sleep easily at night in the full knowledge that she is receiving five star nursing care. The care, compassion , love and support shown to my wife is extended to us and absolutely nothing is too much trouble to the staff to accomplish. They value feedback which is so refreshing and are always looking at ways to improve all aspects of what the home has to offer.
I would without hesitation recommend Alban Manor you will not be disappointed.
Thank you for your feedback and support.
Will continue to do what we do , take good Care for our residents and support their families, the best we can.
Thank you again.
Kind regards

Mum spent her last 3 weeks at Alban Manor. The care she received was exceptional. From beginning to end, all the staff looked after mum but cared for us as a family too. Thanks to Alban Manor we had peace of mind that mum was in the most safe hands and, in her words, it was calm. As a family, we can't thank you enough.
Thank you for taking time to write this lovely review. I will share it with the team. Your mum felt well cared and loved at Alban Manor. There were difficult times and we are happy we brought some comfort to you all. Best wishes to you and your dad. Kind Regards
My mum spent her remaining time with the lovely team at Alban Manor after moving from another care home. I found the combination of professional care, nursing, and support across the entire team to be excellent, and I cannot recommend Alban Manor enough.
I want to give a special mention to Lead Care Manager, who combined professionalism, humour, and loving care to give our family great confidence that mum was being well cared for. We also want to thank Matron who from day one with her guidance and professional support, and she has clearly created a fantastic team of nurses and carers. Also, we had the please to meet the gorgeous live in cockerpoo, and her lovely and very helpful mum & dad who helped set up mums room to be personal and welcoming.
Every resident we spoke to loves being at Alban Manor. Our only regret is that my mum didn't get to spend more time there with all the lovely people living in this wonderful home.
The team at Alban Manor would like to thank you for your lovely comments. We are proud and happy to make the Home a safe and comfortable place for our wonderful residents. Your kind words are really appreciated . Thank you.Best wishes
I left my husband here for 3 weeks of respite care. I was a little apprehensive as he has dementia, and I wasn't sure how he would react. I need not have worried. He settled in very well. The staff are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble, and when I came to collect him, they were so lovely to both of us. I would not hesitate to leave him here again, and I thoroughly recommend Alban Manor.
Thank you for your lovely review. The team is happy to support your husband in the future, if needed. We really appreciate your feedback. Best wishes from the team at Alban Manor. Thank you
Excellent staff and management. Mum was very happy and well looked after. Lovely food and went out of their way to meet her needs.

My wife has been living at Alban Manor Nursing Home for two and a half years due to her Alzheimer's diagnosis, and during this time, she has received compassionate and professional care. I am promptly notified of any significant concerns via phone, and I can access regular updates through the electronic monitoring system on my Smartphone. The facility benefits from permanent staffing, which fosters consistent care and builds familiar relationships among residents and families. Each floor is supported by a dedicated team, including a Registered Nurse and Lead Carer, ensuring a strong rapport between staff and residents. The well-maintained gardens provide a secure and pleasant environment, featuring grassy areas, a small covered space, and accessible pathways with seating. Residents enjoy a variety of appropriate entertainment options most days, facilitated by both in-house and external providers, along with summer. outings to local attractions via mini-bus. My daughter and I feel assured that my wife is in a safe setting and trust that the high standard of care she receives will be upheld.
Thank you What great feedback for the team! We will continue the good work and maintain the high standard of nursing care we provide. Thank you for your trust.Best wishes!Matron

Alban Manor offers 5 star facilities in so many ways ; the quality of care , dedication of the staff, friendliness, catering , rooms and much more . My mum initially needed urgent respite care in late '24, due to a reoccurring medical condition. In January '25 she elected to stay permanently and since then it has been noticeable the stability it has brought to her life . Thanks so very much to the manager and her team.
Dear Chris.Thank you for your lovely feedback. We are happy to see your mum settled at Alban Manor. Matron
