When my husband and I arrived we were told it would be like home from home modestly. The word luxury was omitted, the only strenuous part of our day was remembering the time of our next meal, not cordon bleu but delicious, lovely homecooked and beautifully presented food. The staff always reply to any requests "no problem" or You're welcome". This applies to all the staff whatever grade they may be we were made to feel very special. We can't speak highly enough of everyone and felt very much rested and would recommend Trinity Manor care home to everyone in need.

My mother became a resident of Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home in January 2020 and they have been outstanding in their care of her. It is a new property and so looks smart and is comfortable, however the most impressive thing about Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home is the staff. They are so caring and considerate. My mother has just had a significant birthday and Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home laid on a fantastic lunch for us in the garden. It was wonderful to be able to see mum face to face, without PPE and without a plastic screen. A number of the Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home team joined in for a bit and their love, good humour and compassion for my mother was entirely natural and unforced. We were all made to feel part of Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home family and had a superb afternoon. We were sorry when the lunch came to an end but we left knowing mum was well cared for, happy and safe. Barchester Trinity Manor Care Home have a truly amazing team.

My mum needed urgent care earlier this year for the first time. Trinity Manor has been faultless in their professionalism, kindness and care to my family whilst we have been through this difficult time. It could have been a nightmare even without the difficulties of COVID. The staff have been so thoughtful, demonstrating experience and humour as my mother is adapting to losing her independence. The Manor is a beautiful, clean and comfortable home in lovely surroundings - I feel lucky to have found a safe place to care for my mother.

Any evaluation has to be against the background of covid19, to which the staff reacted with alacrity. The well-planned program of talks and activities by outside contributors has had to be suspended but a full program has continued led by the entertainments manager. The public areas of the home are of the most impressive design, large and comfortable they are well used by the residents. Residents own rooms are larger than the norm with attractive furniture and decor. The grounds are landscaped and residents help in planting. All staff receive training. They display a high level of respect and understanding. Both day and night care staff are highly responsible and kind. The cleaning staff are devoted to a well-planned routine. The dining areas are impressive and catering staff offer an extensive range of menus and service. The management and staff provide top rate professionalism.

Since opening, all staff at Trinity Manor have worked really hard to create a lovely, homely, relaxed setting for residents and visitors are always given a warm welcome (together with coffee and cake!). It is apparent how much thought has gone into the decoration, which is lovely, as well as the layout of both residents' own rooms and the communal areas which have plenty of space. There are so many things that make it feel welcoming that it would be impossible to list, however, the real warmth comes from the staff who all go out of their way to make their residents happy - it is the little touches that count and which make it feel like home. I would not hesitate to recommend.

As a Registered General Nurse, I have worked within the private care home sector ever since 2009, where I have been able to learn, develop and share my skill set in order to benefit the residents I look after.
During my time working within the dementia sector, I was able to access specialist knowledge on how to encourage and enhance the lives of the individuals within my care in order to facilitate living life to the fullest in the most independent and dignified way possible.
Finding ways to adapt and overcome situations, so that residents can still really enjoy all the things they love, has always been a great passion of mine; showcasing that you really can live well with dementia.
Supporting the families of those in our care is also something that I feel very strongly about, and from the time of enquiry, through to moving in and beyond, I aim to support the families as much as the residents themselves. This can often be a huge change as their loved one adapts to new surroundings, but I am well aware of how important reassurance and constant communication are for all involved. This is something that the Trinity Manor family are very good at as a whole, and I am so lucky that I get to share all my knowledge and work with such a fantastic team.

Dale has been a part of teams that have won Yeovil in Bloom with their displays of green areas around the town. He has also been a part of winning several Gold and Silver Guilts in the same team. Dale loves to be a part of the home and is always willing to offer his advice to our residents and staff alike about their own ‘green’ projects.

Since then, she has become chairwoman of our residents' committee, a great person for other residents in the home to bring feedback and suggestions to regarding the living experience here.
Dr Valerie Marett has a background in the care setting as a specialist inspector for the Care Quality Commission. In her role as ambassador, Valerie will have input into the home newsletter, be involved with the interview process, be introduced to any prospective residents & relatives who may wish to ask what life is like at Trinity Manor and attend local community events and forums on behalf of the residents in the home.
