When I visited Mortain Place on the first open day I was impressed by the sense of space and light, the decor and the staff. Since my friend has taken up residence I have had no cause to review those first impressions except that I have found the staff to be exceptional beyond the call of duty and care. Today I had lunch in the dining room. The food, its presentation and the care and courtesy of those serving were exceptional and could teach many a restaurant a lesson.
Thank you so much for your positive reviews, the staff here at Mortian Place will be pleased to know that the outstanding quality of care they deliver is exceptional, we are all very proud of Mortain Place and will continue to deliver high standards of care and service.

Hi, I am Rob, and I am the Home Services Advisor at Mortain Place. I have over 7 years of experience in the Care Sector, and I am well placed to show you around our lovely home and answer any questions you may have. I have a passion for caring for our wonderful residents and ensuring they always have an engaging, joyful time in our home. Before working in care, I spent 27 years in the Automotive sector, at a senior level, honing my customer experience skills by delivering exceptional service.
Away from work, I have a soft spot for classic cars from the 60’s, Clothes from the 70’s and music from the 80’s. Spending quality time with my wife and walking our two Labradors, Harry & Hugo, in the country is my preferred pastime. My wife and I love travelling and enjoy touring Italy as often as we can. I also have a soft spot for Medieval Armour, and much to my wife's annoyance, I have a full scale 15th Century Knight Templar, Suit of Armour standing guard in my dining room at home!

Hi, I'm Rebecca (known by everyone as Bex), and I am the activities lead here at Mortain Place.
Delighted to have been declared a Divisional Winner, Activities Coordinator of the Year, South East Division, Barchester Healthcare Awards, July 2026. Now a finalist in the Nationals, a very proud moment for me.
I have worked in similar roles in the past, and thoroughly enjoy spreading joy and positivity throughout the home. My favourite activities with the residents are exercises with music, word games, and really getting to know them. I enjoy thinking outside the box and coming up with new ideas to enrich resident wellbeing, making this chapter of their lives fabulous.
I thrive on being friendly, approachable, bubbly and busy. In my spare time, I enjoy being active. A few facts about me: My favourite colours are Green and Purple; I love fruit and host a radio show on Radio DGH (District General Hospital) Eastbourne.
