Hi, my name is Catherine Brewster and I am the General Manager here at Mortain Place.

I have worked in adult social care for over 28 years and bring a great knowledge of how a great home is managed.

I specialise in dementia care and I am a Trained nurse from Brighton University. I am working hard to deliver a great experience for our residents and their families. I like to greet all new visitors to our home and if you wish to visit, my door is always open. My team and I look forward to meeting you soon.

My name is Harriet Toms and I'm the Deputy Home Manager. I have been in care for 16 years, starting as a carer and working myself up to Deputy Manager. I have my level 5 and a dementia diploma. I am raising awareness for people who have cystic fibrosis, as my brother, whom I am very close has had it since he was young. I also love animals, and my family is important to me.

Hi, I am Mia - I am the Head Chef here at Mortain Place. I have recently joined the company, and am looking forward to getting to know the residents and their likes.

I enjoy baking, and my favourite cake is a ginger cake!

Hi, I’m Saffron, and I am the Administration Manager at Mortain Place.

I love being organised and helping others, which really drew me to this role. I have a passion for delivering excellent customer service, and many years of experience working within administration and care. I am keen to get to know our residents and their families, and am looking forward to welcoming new residents and helping them with their journey.

Hi, I am Rob and I am the Home Services Advisor at Mortain Place. I have over 6 years of experience in the Care Sector, and I am well placed to show you around our lovely home and answer any questions you may have. I have a passion for caring for our wonderful residents and ensuring they always have an engaging, joyful time in our home. Before working in care, I spent 27 years in the Automotive sector, at a senior level, honing my customer experience skills by delivering exceptional service.

Away from work, I have a soft spot for classic cars from the 60’s, Clothes from the 70’s and music from the 80’s. Spending quality time with my wife and walking our two Labradors, Harry & Hugo, in the country is my preferred pastime. My wife and I love travelling and enjoy touring Italy as often as we can.

Hi, my name is Ingrida, and I am the Head Housekeeper here at Mortain Place. I am new to the care industry and love working at Mortain Place, getting to know the residents and ensuring the quality and standards are excellent. I am also proud to be the home Infection Control champion.

I felt that I wanted to do a job that made a difference and became a carer. I came to Mortain Place as a senior carer in Normandy Gardens and worked my way up to Community Lead. I have chosen to move to the activities team to help support the life enrichment programme and help improve the life experiences of our residents.

I really love the atmosphere here at Mortain Place care home. I enjoy helping the residents and making their day better.

I am also a speak-up champion and Dementia champion.
In my spare time I like walks along the beach, and spending time with my family.

Hi, my name is Jacquie I love getting to know the residents and being part of the passionate and caring team. I am the Palliative Care champion for the home, as well as the Dementia champion.

My Name is Stacey. I have worked for Mortain Place since August 2019, and I am a Community Lead. I have worked in care for twelve years. I am trained in dementia and have my NVQ level, and I am extremely committed to giving my all to the residents.

Hi, I am Trisa, I have worked at Mortain Place for a couple of years now. I enjoy working throughout the home but mainly upstairs on memory lane.

In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit and doing Yoga.

I have worked at Mortain Place care home for a while now I really enjoy making sure the residents are happy. I have lots of experience working at a hospital as a Hostess and know how important the interaction is.

Hi my name is Nicci, I am the hairdresser at Mortain Place. I have been a hairdresser for many years and enjoy what I do. Since coronavirus restrictions have eased, I have been able to come into Mortain Place and give all the residents a new lease of life!

Hello, I have worked in care for many years, and I have recently moved to Eastbourne. I transferred from another Barchester home.

I enjoy keeping fit and spending quality time with my family and my dog.

Hi, I love working in Dementia Care. I feel I was put on earth to work positively with Dementia residents. Recently completed level 3 lead adult care, love to work.

I love talking to the residents as I go about my daily duties. It is so lovely to hear their stories.

In my spare time, I like to have fun with my friends and I enjoy socialising.

I really enjoy keeping Mortain Place in tip-top condition. It's a real joy to speak to our residents every day. I dedicate my life to looking after others.
