Your five star review and positive comments are appreciated.
My dad has been in Marine View Lodge for nearly four months now, and all of the staff and carers have made him feel welcome and have been kind and professional while caring for him. The food is good, and everyone is included in the activities arranged. He feels safe and secure and seems content in his new home.
Many thanks for giving us the opportunity to care for your father, it is always a pleasure to give outstanding care.
He was given a warm and caring welcome and his care has been exemplary. Everyone from reception, catering, laundry, cleaning, caring, nursing and leadership teams are professional, caring and ready to go the extra mile.
Thank you for all your support.
Many thanks for the lovely review; it is always a pleasure to be entrusted with loved ones and give them the best care possible.
We have only had experience of Marine View Lodge for two weeks but are more than satisfied with the care being provided by the home. My husband has settled well and seems content which is a huge comfort for me.
Many thanks for your review the team here always value feedback provided by relatives and are thrilled to hear you were happy with the care provided.
We are highly impressed with the high levels and standards of care. All the staff are friendly and approachable and nothing is too much trouble. There are plenty of activities for the residents to attend. Family members are always made to feel welcome when visiting.
Many thanks for the wonderful review it is an absolute pleasure to have the opportunity to provide the highest standard of care and support to all our lovely residents and their families.
I would like to see regular nurses on duty for continuity, one week I saw four. If they stayed on the same floor, they would have a better understanding and knowledge of the residents. I also think there aren't enough carers on Dad's floor.
Thank you for your review. I will ensure I feedback to the chefs at the home and get the menu reviewed, we do, however, always use fresh produce and haven't had any other concerns raised regarding the food. Also, we don't use any agency staff at the home, and therefore, have a small team of nurses...
My husband has been treated with great care and respect at all times. Staff are polite, caring and efficient, going the extra mile to help and support residents.
Many thanks for the lovely review; the team appreciate your support and is proud to give exceptional care to residents in our care.
Always happy to help at any time.
The whole family feel it is the best place for his care.
Many thanks for the lovely review I will forward your comments to the team, our team always strives to give exceptional care to both families and their loved ones.
We have been very pleased with the staff at Marine Lodge. They go above and beyond in engaging with the residents, making them feel almost like friends rather than care staff. The residence is run professionally and recently the number and variety of activities has improved. A wish would be for the rooms to be cleaned and hoovered more thoroughly/regularly. Recently, there has been no hot water on my mother's floor (for three weeks and counting) which means no baths/showers, which is not satisfactory. Overall, we are very happy with Marine View Lodge.
Thank you for your kind words. I will make sure that the staff know that you appreciate all that they do. All rooms and public areas are cleaned on a daily basis, but I will draw your comments to the attention of our housekeepers. The hot water on your mother's floor is, we know, currently warm rather than very hot. That is being attended to.
My dad stayed for a year and was very happy with the service. My dad made friends with the staff and was grateful for the care received. My dad's family were happy with the staff and service received. Excellent care home with caring, professional staff.
Many thanks for your wonderful review and feedback and mostly many thanks for trusting Marine View Lodge to care for your loved one, it was a pleasure.
We are extremely happy with the care Mum receives at Marine View Lodge. We had to move her here from another nursing home in early 2023 because the previous home couldn't provide the specialist care she needed. Thankfully, due to the skilled and experienced dementia care and nursing staff, she has settled in well and appears happy and contented every time we visit, which was rarely the case in the old nursing home. The residents are kept stimulated by regular activities which they appear to enjoy, and the staff put on fun parties during the year (e.g. Mother's Day, Easter, Christmas, etc) which the residents really enjoy. It is also reassuring to see that the place is really well staffed by plenty of carers, so all the residents get enough care and attention. I would highly recommend Marine View Lodge for dementia care. A big thank you to all the staff.
Many thanks for the wonderful review, we pride ourselves in giving exceptional care for your loved ones.
The care staff are able to care for my wife with compassion and good humour.
Many thanks for the wonderful review, we pride ourselves in giving exceptional care to your loved one and value all feedback received.
My dad's care has been poor this month. He has frequently still been in his nightwear when I arrive at 10 am. Some days he has not been showered and has smelt. His slippers, braces and other items of clothing frequently go missing, some never to return. He is never shaved. I have asked for him to see the podiatrist as his toenails have not been cut for months and months but for some reason, this has not happened.
Good afternoon I am sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the care given and would like as always to be given the opportunity to discuss the care provided to your relative and am always available to raise any concerns or complaints going forward.
My sister and I cannot express highly enough how satisfied we are with the care, kindness and attention shown to our mum in Marine View Lodge. The staff are all wonderful. The cleanliness is excellent and Mum loves the food. We are happy that Mum is happy and her overall well-being has improved so much.
Thank you so much for taking the time to write this lovely review of Marine View Lodge, we are so glad that her well-being has improved so much. It is wonderful to hear that your mum has enjoyed our delicious food, so much, it is second to none. I will pass on your feedback to the staff team who will be so pleased to read your kind words.
My father has been here for more than 2 years now and I can honestly say I wouldn't have him anywhere else. The building is always kept so clean in every aspect and as my father is coming to the end stage of his Parkinson's which is unfortunate but grateful for how all members of staff are keeping me up to date with his condition and having a care plan in place which gives me peace of mind. They always have activities and let families know about this all the time. All members of staff have treated me and my family with amazing respect and kindness some of which I even call friends now. I should also mention that my father's previous care home didn't meet all his standards but Marine View has gone above and beyond for him and I appreciate it.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your wonderful feedback with regards to your father and our fabulous home. We pride ourselves in offering the best possible environment and care to all our residents at Marine View Lodge. As you mentioned, the staff are second to none, which we pride...
My Dad went in on 10/11/23 he received excellent care, very clean and modern building, great facilities. The staff always very polite and were always very willing to help him as much as possible to keep him comfortable.
Many thanks for the lovely response it was a pleasure to be given the honour of looking after your loved one.
Dirty water glasses.
The bin not emptied.
Commode left uncovered in the room.
Mum looking uncared for, teeth not cleaned, nails dirty.
I appreciate staff are busy not it just seems as though no one has time anymore.
Visitors are asked to use facilities in the middle lounge to make drinks but there are no mugs/cups available and no coffee, tea, sugar and milk - probably not high on anyone’s priorities but it would be nice if they were available
Many thanks for the feedback. I am always happy and available to discuss any concerns with family and address them immediately. I am sorry that you have had this experience and will look into this immediately and am always available to chat anytime with yourself moving forward.
Very pleased with the care my husband gets. Staff are all very friendly and caring.
Many thanks for your amazing review we always aspire to give every resident exceptional standards of care and really appreciate your feedback.
We cannot thank the wonderful colleagues at Marine View Lodge enough for the care, compassion and dedication they showed to the care of my Dad. The facilities are fabulous, nothing was ever too much trouble, and it is a lovely environment for Dad to be cared for in. It is a wonderful care home for those with dementia, the care was first class. Thank you again to everyone who cared for my Dad but in particular two staff members.
We are so glad to hear these wonderful words are team go above and beyond for all residents in our home and will remember your dad fondly, many thanks for the lovely review.
My mum has received excellent care since she has been at Marine View Lodge Care Home.
Many thanks for the wonderful review, we pride ourselves in giving exceptional care for your loved ones.
