I spent two weeks respite at Lambwood in July after having major surgery. I found all staff to be helpful. Facilities were good but because of Covid, some things were not possible. They did set up a garden room for visitors to come, but this was hard as you had to wait for a slot. I would certainly go again.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights. Your feedback and comments will be shared with all the team. It was our pleasure to help you recover.
Obviously, in these surreal times, it is very difficult to determine the actual reality as I am unable to spend time in the home itself when visiting.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights. Your comments and observations are much appreciated.
I find all staff very friendly and helpful. They always keep you informed about the resident. Everything seems very high standard and well run. I have not had the chance to go inside at the moment because of covid 19; I look forward to seeing more of the care home when I can visit someday.
Thank you for taking the time to review Lambwood Heights, your comments are valued by the whole team. We very much look forward to welcoming you in person soon.
Lambwood Heights is an exceptionally well-appointed care home. Having had absolutely awful treatment at the hands of the local NHS, the fantastic staff have been so caring and attentive, the improvement in my father's condition has been nothing short of miraculous. The staff at Lambwood Heights are incredibly caring and highly professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them whatever my father's needs, the staff are always ready to help and change things. This is true of every member of staff from the receptionist, to the chef, the nurses and everyone - all show so much compassion. Even in the most trying circumstances of COVID-19, the staff have really gone the extra mile to make things easier for the residents and relatives. I cannot recommend Lambwood Heights highly enough! Thank you to all the staff at Lambwood Heights!
Many thanks for such a lovely review, the whole team will find your words encouraging. It is our privilege to care for your Father and to continue to help him live the best life possible.
Dad is an intelligent man whose body has started to deteriorate. After a few spells in hospital, it felt like the NHS was giving up. Indeed, the NHS discharge was on the basis you will never walk again. The experience at Lambwood Heights could not be more different. From support with the fight with the NHS to let him go into Lambwood Heights rather than one the NHS dictated they should select, to the loving care and treatment he has received. Lambwood Heights team could not have been more supportive of both my father and us as relatives. The care, facilities, staff and management are exemplary. They show just how we should care for and treat our elderly. The improvement over what was provided by the NHS is orthogonal. Dad has settled in enjoys the facility, services and entertainment offered. Nothing is too much trouble for the team at Lambwood Heights. Dad progresses and albeit with assistance and a frame has started his journey back to mobility. I rate Lambwood very highly.
Very many thanks for such a lovely review, the whole team really appreciate your kind words and thoughts. It is our honour to have your Dad with us.
Lambwood Heights Care Home creates a warm and happy environment for the elderly. My mother really enjoyed her day visit for 'Fish and Chip Friday'. She said that the staff were very sweet and she loved singing songs with the other residents. The day was well organised and management go above and beyond to cater to your needs.
Thank you for your lovely review and kind words. We very much look forward to organising more events in the future.
Lambwood Heights is without doubt an excellent care home. The management and staff teams are professional at every level and are always available to discuss any part of the care being given to ensure each resident's personal needs are met in full.
Many thanks for your kind review, it is always so valuable to receive such positive feedback.
I am extremely happy with the exceptional care Lambwood Heights provide for my aunt who has Alzheimer’s and poor eyesight. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted with warmth and friendliness from a very dedicated team. I have total peace of mind because I have seen how the staff work alongside the residents to give them personalised care and treat them with dignity and great respect. My aunt’s behaviour could be very challenging at times, but now through their hard work and commitment, she has calmed down and settled well. The home work well with the local memory team and their own doctor to ensure my aunt’s health is priority. I am always updated on her condition and consulted with every decision made. The staff are truly amazing and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Lambwood Heights to anyone. They deliver 100% professionalism, compassion and outstanding care in every department. It is clearly noticeable that all residents are at the heart of everything they do.
Thank you so much for your kind review. It makes an enormous difference to the whole team to receive such encouragement and support. It is our privilege to care for your aunt.
The circumstances were difficult due to Coronavirus but we saw the home prior to Mum going in so could visualise where Mum would be staying.
The nurses called every day updating us on Mum's progress.
Many thanks for your kind words, it was our honour to have your Mum under our care at that stage of her life.
It is more like a luxury hotel, beautifully decorated. Everything is of the highest standards. There's a great atmosphere the minute you enter.
The food is excellent, with lots of variety. Every single member of staff are so kind, happy and helpful, nothing is too much for them to make Mum's life good.
There's always plenty of stimulation and activities to do, which is encouraged if they so wish to participate. I know it is the best place for Mum, she is very happy and she has the very best loving care there.
I would say to anyone thinking about a care home, without any hesitation whatsoever, I highly recommend Lambwood Heights.
Thank you so much for such lovely words, it is our privilege to have your Mum living with us.
I am so pleased with the care and attention that my parents receive. Lambwood Heights is a beautiful welcoming home that I can highly recommend.
Thank you for your kind review, we are delighted to be caring for your parents.
My mother recently spent 4 weeks respite care at Lambwood Heights; she enjoyed the activities and socialising and made significant progress with her mobility. Thank you.
Many thanks for your kind review, it always means so much to the care team to get such positive feedback.

Meet the Team (4)

I started my journey in Health and Social Care over a decade ago; since then, I have worked in a variety of different areas, such as Physical Disability, Learning Disability and Residential Care. I am proud and passionate to work at Lambwood Heights as General Manager, and my primary aim within my role is to create and lead a people-centred function team that delivers the best possible experience for our residents, ensuring they continue to lead a happy and purposeful life.

I began my nursing career in 2005 after qualifying as a Registered General Nurse. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of roles across both community and acute hospital settings, with most of my positions involving leadership or management responsibilities. I pride myself on maintaining high clinical standards and always focusing on compassionate, person-centred care. I love being part of the Lambwood Heights family, and I thoroughly enjoy working here.

I have been in the Health and Social Care Sector for 30 years, reaching my ambition to become a Registered Manager. I joined Oakland Care in October 2019 and have worked in various roles throughout this time and settled as the homes’ Client Relations Assistant.
Every day I walk through the door, I still get the wow feeling, thinking how lucky we are to have Lambwood Heights as a place to call home for our residents and a beautiful place to work. I thoroughly enjoy this role and meeting people as they begin their care journey and supporting them in discovering that we see it as a new chapter to be enjoyed to the full.

I joined Lambwood Heights in February 2020 and bring a lot of experience and knowledge to my role as Head of Hospitality at Lambwood Heights having previously worked at Village Kitchen, La Sala and Chigwell Hall.
We pride ourselves that the daily menu has enough variety for residents to enjoy something different each day. It’s important to get regular feedback from our residents on their likes and dislikes whilst ensuring their dietary and nutritional needs are met.
We often have themed days such as Caribbean Day and always have Fish and Chip Fridays! I like to ensure residents have their favourite meals too and our milkshakes are very popular.
When not in the kitchen I enjoy spending time with my son Antoni and long walks with my dog.
