Sing songs or Andre Rieu dvds would be loved by most residents. There is a dead period around 2pm to 3:30 when very little goes on to keep residents occupied - I am guessing staff are on lunch break.? Perhaps this could be staggered ? Putting Andre Rieu DVD on would be uplifting and the residents would not need too much supervision.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback and for your kind comments about the home overall—it really means a great deal to our team.We truly value your suggestions regarding activities, particularly in the afternoons. Supporting meaningful engagement for people living with dementia is very important to us, and we appreciate your ideas around incorporating more music, including sing-alongs and Orchestra DVDs, which we agree can be uplifting and enjoyable for many residents.
Please be assured that we have taken your comments on board and have already put actions into place to ensure improvements are made.
We are now ensuring that a care colleague is specifically allocated to support activity time during the early afternoon period, alongside our planned lifestyle activities which begin at 2pm. This is helping to reduce quieter periods and provide more consistent engagement for residents.
Your feedback is incredibly helpful in shaping our service, and we are grateful for your input. Please feel free to share any further suggestions with us at any time.

The Staff at Deewater are (without exception) always friendly, professional and caring. He has settled into his new life with surprising enthusiasm. He enjoys many of the activities, has made new friends and enjoys the attention he receives from the Deewater staff.
We really never thought that he'd be playing Scrabble, taking part in quizzes, enjoying the comfortable seats in the cinema room and on first name terms with the staff.....and all within 6 weeks of arriving.
The availability of multiple lounges/coffee areas makes visiting very easy and enjoyable, as there always seems to be somewhere to sit and talk privately.
He's now looking forward to planting out some plants on his patio, to enjoy during the Summer.

We as a family cannot thank enough all the staff at Deewater for the outstanding care Mum continues to get since arriving 18 months ago. The staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble, the home is exceptionally clean as is Mum's room. There is always some sort of activity taking place and the residents enjoy planned outings. Mum often expresses how well she is looked after and how kind the staff are. I'm kept up to date with any medical information via phone calls. We visited several care homes prior to mum moving here and Deewater stood out above all others, so thank you everyone for looking after my mum.

Her room is spacious /clean with arm chair and television if she wished to spend time in there, however she also enjoys sitting in the communal lounges or corridor arm chairs just watching the world go by. The staff will encourage her to join in with the regular group activities too. I am happy to know my mum is being looked after so well and not spending her days alone.
It's also great to have the coffee shop where mum loves to visit -plus being able to have her hair and nails done are an additional treat for her.
Overall as a family we are really relieved and satisfied that mum has 24 hour care, she is happy, relaxed and enjoying living here. I would and have already recommended the home.

She is most definitely happy and settled. Both admin and care staff are very friendly and helpful, and I think, as a relative, it helps to develop a relationship with the staff, as your specific requests then become more like a conversation. Mum's room and facilities generally are super-modern, spacey and well laid out. There are lounges and a cafe on site, which means a change of scenery is possible during a visit. I would recommend Deewater Grange to family or friends.

She came for two weeks of respite care, arriving tired and in need of some TLC, which all the staff went above and beyond to deliver. The staff took time to get to know mum and understand her needs. Her room was very comfortable, and the food was fantastic. Any questions or worries mum had were dealt with quickly, and mum felt listened to, and nothing was too much trouble. She enjoyed some of the many activities that are available there, and it was a great way to get to know some of the other residents. Mum went home, much more relaxed and recharged, and looking forward to (hopefully) visiting again in January for more respite care after an operation.

I am not normally one for writing reviews but on this occasion, I felt compelled to write and let people know just how amazing every single member of staff has been in both their dealings with me, prior to both my elderly parents checking into DeeWater Grange Care Home as well as the way my parents...
Every single question I had was answered clearly, professionally and with an understanding of the kind of emotions I was going through in what is a huge step for my parents to take. I must give particular thanks to the team who have been absolutely brilliant at every step. My parents are now residing at the care home and quite honestly, since the moment they arrived, they have been treated like VIP guests at a five-star hotel. To sum up, I cannot thank everyone involved at DeeWater Grange enough for the excellent service and facilities they provide. Thank you.
Lovely area inside and outside of the facilities.

I have a wealth of experience in the care industry, starting my career as a Care Assistant and working my way to the Deputy Manager at Hollins Park care home, and now as the Home Manager at Deewater Grange.
I decided to work for Care UK as its values align with my own, and I wanted to be part of a supportive team that works together to provide the best possible care.
As part of my professional development with Care UK, I’m proud to have achieved my level 4 care apprenticeship, and to have been nominated as Apprentice of the Year.
In this role, you need to be empathetic, compassionate, dedicated and a good communicator. I really enjoy working in an environment which enriches the lives of others, and we strive to make a difference to the lives of our Deewater Grange family.
One of the great aspects of my job here at Care UK is watching the residents smile and spending the time getting to know them, their personal preferences and their personality.
The most important part of my role is to make sure everyone here feels safe, happy and content in life. I also just want to do a good job and ensure residents, their families and the staff feel supported and happy.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, hiking, walking and playing sports.
