My nan has been at Dora Rose for a few years now. Amazing staff, that are very friendly. The entertainment and care they provide for the residents is out of this world. It's almost a two-hour journey to come see my nan and I would not want her anywhere else. She is happy and settled here unlike anywhere
she has been previously. Thanks for all you do for my nan.

Initially, we were very concerned about Dad (92) having dementia and settling into Dora Rose one week after losing his wife. In the beginning, he had difficulty engaging with other residents and joining in with activities, even though he is a very social person.
The activities team have gone beyond
what we hoped for, helping Dad to make new friends and try a diverse range of activities. He may not remember, for example, that he won at Bingo or painted a pumpkin, but thankfully, they put photos on the Dora Rose Facebook page so all the family can see how happy Dad is and ask him about it on our next visit and show him the photos to remind him.
All the team are extremely enthusiastic, kind, caring and respectful, and this provides an environment for residents to feel comfortable and not worry about why they are unable to live independently at home.
Team members treat all the residents like members of their own family; he is cared for and looked after extremely well.

I visit each week and I am able to talk to residents and staff. The warm and friendly atmosphere always strikes me, even after two years of visiting. The events team work hard to provide a variety of experiences that are both enjoyable and therapeutic. Recent examples include Oktoberfest, a visit from
an owl sanctuary complete with owls and an evening with belly dancers and cheese and wine, to name but a few.
I attend the regular family meetings where there are always family members present who speak of the high standard of care their loved ones are receiving. Any concerns raised are taken seriously and I have seen how they have been acted on.
All staff have the best interests of the residents at heart, they are guided by the message that while Dora Rose is their place of work it is home to all of the residents and this shows through in their kind, caring and respectful manner.

My mother was a resident at Dora Rose Care Home from August 2020 until she sadly passed away in April this year. Throughout her stay I found the staff to be so professional, caring and loving to all of the residents. The purpose-built home resembles a luxury hotel with accommodation and facilities which
are second to none. The daily activities are excellent and appropriate for the individual needs of residents. Having dined there, I found the food was plentiful, wonderfully prepared and served in a very professional manner. My overall opinion of Dora Rose is that it is truly excellent in every aspect. No one wants a relative to have to live in a care home but if someone has to I can't think of a better place. I would unreservedly recommend Dora Rose to anyone and have already told my relatives that if I ever need nursing care Dora Rose is where I want to go.

Having just lost his wife and then moving out of his own home in another part of the country into care would be a daunting experience for most of us. Fortunately, we chose Dora Rose Care Home and after an initial confused period, aided by an understanding staff, his paper and the freedom to check that
all was well in the office, he was able to settle. The accommodation and facilities are first class, as are all staff. From the moment you set foot in the building, with the friendly greeting, it is apparent that you have entered a well-run organisation with excellent teamwork.
The ingenious activities team are a real inspiration to both residents and their families - no matter how frail, all residents are invited to events - absolutely tremendous.
Sadly, my brother is no longer with us, but having now completed "the journey", I am greatly comforted that I chose Dora Rose for him. He received great care and freedom and we both received every consideration as his end drew near.

Since the beginning of my friend's stay at Dora Rose, every single member of staff I have had contact with has been extremely friendly and helpful. Some have gone out of their way to accommodate my friends' needs. They have facilitated our contact and the video calls arranged at my request have been
very helpful.
My friend is well looked after and the care seems to be of the highest standard.
When I visit, there is always someone willing to be helpful.

I have worked as a volunteer at the home as part of the activities team for the last six months. The home is now of an excellent standard with a manager who goes above and beyond for the staff which creates a fabulous atmosphere. Since starting, our activities team has expanded and we now have what
I believe is the best activities team with an exceptional leader. The activities provide fun, variety and a daily program which is offered seven days a week. I love working with all the team at Dora Rose. Myself and the families always get the warmest of welcomes by all the reception team who are so professional and friendly. Well done Dora Rose!

Dora Rose is a wonderful home, with caring supportive staff who go above and beyond. On behalf of my brother and myself, I would like to thank all who cared for our father, you showed kindness, care and support to him. He always spoke so fondly of the staff. His room was beautiful, spacious and he couldn’t
get over the size of the TV on the wall!! Dad's condition improved so much after moving to your home and it encouraged him to gain strength and movement in his left side. This allowed him to have the opportunity to play his favourite instrument which he was able to have in his room. One of the staff even went out of their way to allow our dad to try a friends keyboard just so he could have a try. You celebrated his birthday in style and he thought it was the best birthday he’d ever had. Dora Rose will always hold a special place in our hearts.

I haven't been able to visit the home but the impression I have from various telephone calls and WhatsApps is of a very well run and caring environment. My sister seems to be very well looked after and is very happy there.

Our major impression of Dora Rose was the care and compassion shown to our Uncle and ourselves. Staff went out of their way to make his end of life care just as we wished. The whole ethos of Dora Rose is concerned with wellbeing. As a family, we were consulted and included in decisions. We never felt
"in the way", and the offer of refreshments when visiting was appreciated. An aspect of the end of life care we really appreciated was being able to visit whenever we wished. We were never made to feel a nuisance but welcomed as friends. The building is impressive and didn't have the feel and "aroma" of old people. We highly recommend Dora Rose and all its staff. We thank God that we had them.

We, as a family, sadly had to make a difficult decision for my lovely 97-year-old mother-in-law to go into a care home. I had no hesitation to ask if she could be placed in Dora Rose. The admission process was dealt with compassion and empathy. She has initially settled in well and is joining in with
the activities. Whilst it is sad that my mother-in-law could no longer be cared for at home, we know she is being looked after and cared for.
Many thanks to all at Dora Rose for genuinely caring.

My parents live together at Dora Rose Care Home. The staff particularly the manager, senior nurses and reception have been both professional and caring in every respect to both my parents and the wider family.
I would recommend this care home to anyone whose elderly relatives need a safe, clean caring
environment. They have been extraordinary in helping my mother with advanced dementia to settle in well.

Excellent Care from all members of staff - nurses, carers, reception, management and service staff. This care extends not only to the residents but to their families as well. The civilised policy of allowing the family to visit at any time when the resident is on end of life care is excellent. Not only
are you treated as not being made to feel a nuisance, but you are welcomed and given a cup of tea. The building and facilities are something else and their excellence has to be seen to be believed.

Dad was treated with great care and respect and also he had a lot of fun with the staff.
They looked after myself and my husband when we were visiting Dad frequently when he was really ill. The room and facilities were amazing and so clean. A big thanks to all at Dora Rose Stafford for their help and

Dora Rose is a very nice and new style of homes and the details are amazing. The staff are always friendly and there seems plenty of daily activities going on in the home, this is always good to see. There is a nice home feel once you arrive and the girls on reception are always friendly.

My Dad has been at the Dora Rose since January 2020. Since arriving he has been looked after by a great team of carers who have helped Dad through their love and attention to his needs. They are all very welcoming when any of the family visit or even contact Dad via a family zoom session on his birthday.
Since starting a staff member has really helped us remain in touch with Dad and often sends photos showing what he has been up to. This is an exemplar care home run by an exemplar care team. Thank you!

I have found the staff very helpful under such difficult times. My friend went in the day before the lockdown, so it has been a really difficult time. The staff have kept me well informed and answered every query very efficiently and have helped to keep my mind at ease to which I am very grateful.

Dora Rose is a beautiful care home and the surroundings are lovely. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable and everywhere is clean and homely. The food is excellent and there are plenty of drinks even for visitors. The activities manager provides a varied and appropriate programme, including games,
puzzles, films and visiting singers and whilst being on lockdown has kept us in touch via skype. The staff are patient, caring and treat residents with kindness and dignity. I have peace of mind knowing my husband is in safe hands.

I’m Julie, and I live in Tamworth. I am the owner of a 15-year-old tortie cat, Chrystal. She was a rescue cat at 6 months old. I love animals, and due to this, I am heavily involved in fundraising for a local animal rescue charity. I help organise fundraising events, support with cat homing visits and help with the transportation of donations to various local animal charities.

I was a holiday rep with Thomas Cook for 10 years. I have worked in many countries across the Mediterranean, Spain, Italy and Greece, to name a few. I have done a variety of roles working abroad, everything from looking after children in a kids club to taking adults on a bar crawl and meet/greet at the airport. This was a job I loved, as every 6-8 months I could change destination, and it inspired my love of travelling. Now that I live back in the UK, I look forward to my holidays and always look for new experiences or new destinations.

I have worked in the care industry for the last 15 years. I started in Domiciliary care before going to work at Good Hope Hospital for 9 years. I worked in a variety of departments, which I loved and learnt so much. I have since worked in areas involving Challenging behaviour, mental health and specialist Dementia nursing homes.

I am proud to be working at Macc Care and looking forward to the new challenges ahead, as well as meeting loads more new people.
