Families choose Mere Hall for its exceptional countryside location, overlooking Hornsea Mere. The dedicated activities team organises a wide range of engaging activities and trips in the minibus.
Fees are subject to a pre-admission needs assessment which is required to fully understand the level of care and support required by each individual. Premium rooms normally require an additional charge. Nursing fees include the Funded Nursing Contribution (FNC) if you are eligible.

Should you require an escort to hospital appointments, we may apply an agreed hourly charge for this service.

My favourite part of the day is spending time with residents, their families and our team, getting to know everyone and finding ways to make life at Mere Hall as fulfilling and enjoyable as possible.

I always work by what I call the "mum test" - if our home is good enough for my own parents, then I know we're providing the standard of care every resident deserves. I aim to create a welcoming home where residents are happy, families feel reassured, and our team is proud to make a difference every day. I’ve dedicated my career to creating the highest standards of care and support for older people.
One of my proudest career achievements was being named Hampshire Care Association Care Home Manager of the Year in 2022, followed by my home receiving Care Home of the Year in 2023.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and grandchildren, exploring local areas and supporting organisations such as the Stroke Association, Parkinson’s groups, Dementia Forward and Age UK.
