My Mother moved into Old Sarum Manor at the end of June 2023. She had a bad fall in April. After a stay in hospital and a rehabilitation centre she moved into Old Sarum
Mum is happy with her room with an ensuite. In fact, all the rooms have their own ensuite. They even have a room with a bath if someone prefers a bath. The rooms are light and airy.
The building is only three years old and purpose-built with all mod cons.
Mum is happy being at Old Sarum Manor which in turn makes me feel happy and confident that she is in the right care home!

Michael started his career as a Care Assistant, working with the elderly over thirty years ago. This has become a vocation, supporting people to maximise their quality of life. He then went on to work with People who had experienced brain injuries, where he progressed to Senior Care Assistant, and to Deputy Manager. Michael has also worked closely with people in the community, as well as in care homes. He was promoted to Home Manager, where he worked in the private sector with vulnerable adults.
Michael has continued to develop his skills and training by working in several private organisations as a Manager. He has also been a Regional Manager working for a small care group, supporting people with learning disabilities within the community. Michael has come to Old Sarum Manor after working for an organisation for eight years.
He is passionate about care and supporting people to maximise their full potential. Michael is committed to developing services and helping people to feel fulfilled, developing a sense of belonging and pride in their home.
Mandy is part of our brilliant Front of House team and has worked in customer-focused roles for most of her life, ranging from a wine waitress on a cruise ship to a restaurant supervisor and dealing with complaints in a call centre. She is always happy to help anyone and is very approachable. “It is wonderful to be working in such an amazing new home and to help bring comfort and joy to our residents’ lives.”
Tanya brings many years of experience to the Deputy Manager role. Tanyas career has always been care-focused, working not only in care homes but as well as in the community and the NHS. She began working for us as a Senior Care Assistant and after swiftly proving her great knowledge, she was promoted to Deputy Manager. “I really like working for OSM because it allows me the flexibility to plan ahead with the 3 days on, 3 days off schedule, and because I get to work with such a great team, I feel inspired to advance my knowledge and skills.”
Darren began his career in care in 2002 as a Support Worker. Over the years, he has progressed into roles such as Senior Support Worker and Field Care Supervisor, gaining valuable experience across a diverse range of settings—from intimate private homes to luxurious residences and hospitals.
As a Maintenance Operative here at Old Sarum Manor Care Home, Darren applies his practical skills to ensure the smooth operation of the home. He takes pride in his ability to repair nearly anything, from cars and motorcycles to plumbing, electrical work, and wall repairs. Outside of his professional pursuits, Darren is passionate about music and enjoys DJing. He also has a keen interest in horticulture, specifically in creating and nurturing bonsai trees.
Kim began her career here at Old Sarum Manor as a Senior Care Assistant in 2023 and was promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2024. She is passionate about her role and appreciates the caring and dedicated nature of her team, all of whom share a commitment to the well-being of their residents. With over 30 years of experience in the industry, Kim has worked in various areas, including community care, brain injury rehabilitation, and high-dependency care.
