Life at Ashton Manor is vibrant and fulfilling, yet calm and caring. With a range of activities tailored to residents’ interests, needs, and abilities, there’s always something to enjoy. Whether it’s afternoon tea, arts and crafts, music, local entertainers visiting the care home, or simply a chat over a cup of tea in the home's cafe or a local café nearby, every day brings a sense of joy and community.

Ashton Manor provides such a positive, professional and enriching environment for my loved one. They set themselves the highest standards and are always responsive and open to feedback and suggestions.

The buildings are first class, the care thorough and dignified and there is a good variety

of food on offer. Everyday there is some event to stimulate the lives of the residents.

Absolutely can not fault the home.

After moving my Aunt into Ashton Manor I sent this email to the manager.

I'd just like to say thanks to all your staff, who have been so helpful and caring during this couple of days. I've spoken to several members of staff, seniors and carers and without fail they have been kind, helpful and caring.

This experience has reinforced my initial impression from observing staff when I have been there and seeing them interacting with residents. I made the right choice of care home.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorThank you for taking the time to provide us with the lovely feedback about your Aunt, and the care she has received since moving into her new home at Ashton Manor. Our team always aim to provide high quality care, not only our residents, but also to their loved ones, as we understand that making the decision to move someone into a Care Home is a hard decision. We look forward to continuing to care for your Aunt.

My brother moved to Ashton Manor for residential care 18 months ago. An issue several months after his arrival was delt with promptly and professionaly. He feels I could not have found a better home for him, the staff are kind, caring and respect his need for privacy.
The staff contact me regularily
to keep me updated. I live many miles away and cannot visit very often so it is reassuring to know that he is happy and well cared for.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorThank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback. My partner has been in Ashton Manor Care homefor just short of 4 years.
In that time I have found the home to have been administered in an extremely professional manner and a caring approach. They never detract from the main objective, which is "CARING for the RESIDENT". The activities , the
catering and rooms are also to a high standard . I am fully of gratefully towards all the staff
at Ashton Manor for their dedicated care

On the whole we have been extremely pleased with the care provided by the home. My mother is treated with kindness and respect at all times. All the staff and management are helpful, professional and friendly. The quality and standards of fabric and the building are lovely, certainly comparable to
a nice hotel in their comfort. The entertainment and activities are varied, well run and fun with family and friends encouraged to attend and join in where appropriate. We are happy and pleased and would make the same decision again to trust the home with our Mothers care.

Two issues cause us a slight irritation a) various items of clothing disappearing during the laundry process, despite a personal tagging system system which should prevent this b) access to the home after the admin/reception staff have left at 5pm.

Reply from Joanne Tyson, Home Manager at Ashton ManorThank you so much for your thoughtful feedback. We are delighted to hear that your mother is happy and well cared for, and that you feel confident in the kindness, professionalism and warmth of our team. It's lovely that you and your mother enjoy the home's environment and the variety of activities, and that these are experiences you feel able to share as a family. We're also grateful for you raising the two points of concern. We understand how frustrating it must be when items go missing in the laundry process, and we will review our systems to see where we can strengthen checks to prevent this. Regarding access after 5pm, we'll explore ways to make visiting after reception hours easier for families. Your trust in us means a great deal, and we truly value your continued input to help us keep improving.

Mum has been in the Ashton Manor care home for nearly 2 years now. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in her early stays and became very settled and happy within a very short space of time due to the support and care that she received. Mum is very mobile therefore loves to help and participates in all
the activities that are on offer. The social activities that are provided at Ashton Manor are a credit to them. Mum and I have had such happy times together whether it was a day at the races or armchair travels, thank you Ashton Manor.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Home Manager at Ashton ManorThank you so much for your kind words. My sister has vascular dementia and is a vegetarian.
She is very difficult to cater for at the best of times.
The staff are very patient with her and try very hard to get her something she will eat.
It's not always successful but they always try.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorThank you very much for taking the time to provide feedback. Our kitchen team strive to make sure that all residents have menu options that meet their needs, and always offer alternatives to the main menu where someone dislikes a meal. We are shortly going to be introducing a light bites menu, which will offer a further level of choice for all residents, as meal times are a very important part of the day for all individuals. Thanks

My friend has Alzheimer's Disease and has been a resident at Ashton Manor Care Home since October 2023. The home is a modern building with spacious ensuite rooms. It has a welcoming atmosphere where all the residents are well cared for, supported by kind, compassionate, caring staff, and are able to
enjoy having their personal possessions e.g.pictures and some of their own furniture in their rooms.Relatives have good regular communication from the staff, and are made welcome as part of the family. There is the opportunity for residents to take part in a range of activities organised by the staff, which includes visits from local community groups. A great deal of consideration has been given to my friend's personal needs by all the staff, particularly with regard to the things that she enjoys such as music and food, and she is as comfortable as possible.

My mother has dementia and recently stayed for 2 months in Ashton Manor. She left to relocate closer to my father when a place became available. Overall my mum thrived at Ashton Manor. She responded well to the environment, staff and residents such that her communication was improved over the course
of her stay. My only real criticism was that there didn't seem to be enough staff cover for Reception meaning it was intermittently a problem getting in to visit my mum.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorThank you very much for taking the time to submit a review of Ashton Manor. I am sorry to hear that you experienced some delays in accessing the building when visiting your mum. We have taken this feedback on board, and are reviewing our reception cover, to try to reduce the risk of this occurring in the future. Ashton Manor is recent build care home with excellent facilities and a high standard of repair. However, what stood out for me was the outstanding quality of the people who are employed there. Every member.of the staff I met, at all levels of the work force whatever the task, we're highly professional
in their role and we're compassionate, caring and kind, even in the most difficult of situations. Something for which I will be eternally grateful.

My mother has recently relocated to Ashton Manor in the North West, to be near to family. This is not easy for her after 40 years down South. However, the staff at Ashton Manor have been very helpful and supportive. She is enjoying her new home and the level of care is excellent. She has fairly high
needs and the staff have adapted to her without any problem. Medical and health matters are being addressed promptly and without fuss. Her sleeping is already much improved. It is early days for mother but there are clearly lots of activities in the home if the guests wish to take part. My mother also rates the food and nutrition highly, which can be taken in the room or in the dining areas. Ashton Manor is clean and modern. It is welcoming for family and guests. We have been made to feel part of the family. We have a high degree of trust in the management and staff. Communication is also very good.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorHi Alex. Thank you very much for the feedback. Mum's situation was a very worrisome time for both her and yourself and I am glad that my team was able to make the transition as smooth as possible for her. The process of integrating my dad into Ashton Manor has been outstanding. It was emotionally difficult to admit him, but the staff welcomed my dad with sensitivity and care when he arrived in July. Since then he has come to feel that Ashton Manor is his proper home. He has mixed dementia so his issues
are complex. The positivity and sensitivity of staff during interactions have always been impressive and the Christmas period was beautifully celebrated. My father is an artist, though sadly this is impaired by his condition and the arthritis which prevents him from performing with any manual dexterity.
His work is on the walls in his room, and staff frequently inquire about its meanings and why a particular title has been selected. My dad's answers are frequently varied and may sound obscure but staff always discuss it with him.
Staff are always welcoming and delightful to talk with. They offer a lot of detail about what they have been talking about with my dad. I don't worry anymore.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorHi Julian, thank you for the positive feedback. Placing a loved one into the care of another is always a difficult process for family members, but at Ashton Manor, we try to provide guidance and reassurance throughout the journey to reduce that pressure. I could not have found a better place anywhere for respite care. All the staff were caring, compassionate and friendly. My father suffered from dementia and parkinsons, he came to the home directly from the hospital. From the very start, the staff were wonderful, they were all professional, they kept me and my family fully informed of issues. In the short time my father was in the home he was looked after very well and
respectfully. I can't thank you all enough for letting him retain his dignity in his last few days. My mother and I were able to spend his last moments together. The staff were again supportive and respectful to our loss. Thank you so much.

Ashton Manor is a beautiful, modern care home. As soon as I walked through the front door I could feel the love and affection my husband would get. Mum spent 5 weeks in Ashton Manor (AM). Mum had some mobility and communication issues and we needed a home that could support Mum while she received rehabilitation.
Our main reasons for choosing AM were that every room has a full en-suite, wet room/bathroom and that staffing levels - especially overnight
- seem higher than other care homes.
During Mum's stay, we were impressed with other aspects of AM. Rooms and corridors are large, bright, airy and clean. There are sitting rooms that feel homely and not institutional. Food is good and there is a program of activities to keep residents physically and mentally active.
Most important was the level of care and support provided. We felt Mum was safe and well looked after. Medication was administered safely, assistance with personal needs was provided quickly and with dignity, staff was friendly and kind.
Yes, AM fees are a bit higher than other homes, but I feel the incremental cost is worth it for the difference in care.
Reply from Joanne Tyson, Registered Manager at Ashton ManorThank you very much for your wonderful review, and the feedback about the home. It was a pleasure having Mum stay with us, and to see the amazing progress she made during her time with us. The support that you, your sister, and the rest of the family provided to Mum complimented the care and support provided by my team and also contributed towards the progress your mum made. Thank you for choosing us to be part of her journey and best wishes for the future.

My mum has just moved into Ashton Manor having been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year. Having looked around various care homes, I’m so thankful we found Ashton Manor. This place is the most perfect place for Mum, the staff are just fantastic, have helped us all as a family, helped Mum settle in and

Ashton Manor is worth far more than 5 stars.
The staff are second to none and the care given...outstanding.
My father was admitted in August last year with vascular dementia.
He was taken there from the hospital unable to walk, talk properly or feed himself and not able to communicate virtually
a cabbage of his former self.
He can now walk, feed himself, go to the toilet and engage in conversation.
Without the care and understanding given by all at Ashton Manor, I can honestly say I would not have a dad now.
The rooms and cleanliness are extremely good and you always are made welcome when visiting.
There is always someone keeping you informed about his progress and they are always available to speak to.
Cannot thank or recommend them enough.
If you are looking for somewhere for your family member, it's the hardest thing to do to say you need them in a home but I honestly think you can't find anywhere better.
Many heartfelt thanks to them all.

Chef Lee - Infusing Care with Culinary Excellence at Ashton Manor

Introducing Lee, the inspiring Head Chef at Ashton Manor, an Evermore Care home. Beginning as a sous chef, Lee stepped up to the plate, or rather the kitchen, when the opportunity arose. "I’ve progressed a lot, and it was the right time to step up," Lee says, highlighting his commitment to growth and success.

Lee's approach to cooking perfectly mirrors the core values of Evermore Care: well-being, freedom, and community. His priority? The well-being of our residents. "The well-being of the residents is enjoying the food and making sure they have the nutrients they need," Lee states, reflecting his care and dedication.

Freedom, to Lee, means allowing residents to relish their favourite foods. "All our residents have the freedom of choice, to have the things they enjoy and the food they want," he proudly shares. Lee's Kitchen truly champions resident freedom.

Community plays a pivotal role in Lee's culinary world. Whether it's outdoor parties or delightful dining experiences, he ensures the Ashton Manor community thrives. "Definitely, we have outdoor parties, we invite the community in and always make sure that any mealtime is a great experience," Lee says, demonstrating his commitment to the community.

Despite the kitchen being "hard, fast-paced with a lot going on," Lee assures that the satisfaction far exceeds the challenges. The 5-star food and hygiene rating stands testament to his unwavering dedication and quality standards.

Off-duty, Lee's a football enthusiast, a keen cyclist, and a doting father. He relishes the work-life balance at Evermore Care, and thoroughly recommends Ashton Manor as "a great place to work".

Lee has a playful side too. He jests about competing with world-renowned chef, Gordon Ramsay, in the Ashton Manor kitchen. "I would love to see how much pressure he could handle in a care home kitchen!" he quips, showcasing the team's confident, passionate spirit.

Lee's combination of professional commitment, care for residents, and a dash of humour make him a cherished part of our team. Prospective residents are warmly invited to join the Ashton Manor community and savour the exceptional culinary experiences crafted by Chef Lee and his team.
