Almost 12 months ago we (residents’ daughter and son) were searching for a care home to look after our Dad and his partner. He had recently been diagnosed with Dementia and they were struggling to care for themselves at home.
Ashton Manor and the excellent staff have provided them with a new home which
is warm, safe, clean and caring. They have both benefitted greatly from good food, social contact and activities. They now feel as secure and contented as possible.
The staff are skilled and conscientious and treat Dad and his partner with kindness and respect allowing their dignity to be maintained.
It is very important for us to know that they have this high standard of care as we live a considerable distance from Lancaster. We have confidence in the staff at Ashton Manor and know that they will take good care of Dad and his partner and keep us informed of any problems.

When I was looking for a care home I felt very lucky to find Ashton Manor, it was the first one I looked at and I didn't bother going anywhere else. My mum was a resident for 2 and half years and during that time she was looked after in the most caring way possible. The building and facilities are top-notch,
the food is great and the rooms are lovely. Both managers during Mum's time there were excellent. Engagement with the family members has improved much since Mum's arrival, there were regular meetings at which requests were noted, and many were acted upon quickly.
By far the best thing about Ashton Manor however is the staff. The carers who looked after Mum with her failing health were absolutely fantastic. Not living near the home, I relied upon the staff to make sure my Mum had everything she needed or wanted between visits. It was hard leaving her but I knew that she was cared for and loved and this gave me a huge amount of comfort.

From our first visit to arrange her latest stay, we can’t thank everyone at Ashton Manor for the care my mother received.
She herself has spoken on how kind and helpful everyone had been to her. Her only dislike was the mattress on the bed, but she was told they were under review.

My brother spent two weeks in respite care at Ashton Manor. The standard of care he received was exemplary. Due to his severe MS, he has very complex needs, but thanks to the superb planning from Ashton Manor, all his needs were met, and he was treated with the utmost patience, kindness, dignity and

My father needed residential care from late October 2022. He had come out of the hospital in a confused state and was not able to look after himself at home, even with a considerable care package. We were pleased to find a room in Ashton Manor, initially for respite care. The staff have been highly
caring, always trying to engage with my father and encourage him to join in activities. They have provided excellent support not only to my father but also to myself and his other family, friends and neighbours who have visited. The home has excellent facilities, but it is the staff that makes the difference, and I'm very grateful for all their efforts to keep my father happy and healthy.

My husband and I are delighted with the care my mother-in-law has received at Ashton Manor since the day she moved in, nearly a year ago. The staff are always kind and friendly and appear to go above and beyond to ensure her needs are met. Her condition was very poor on arrival and over the last year,
she has put on weight and has regained her capacity. We are very grateful for the knowledge every day that she is in safe hands, after the sleepless nights prior to her being admitted, we can not thank every member of staff enough.

My Auntie became a resident of Ashton Manor in early October 2022 and stayed there until she passed away 23rd December 2022. Short, but sweet. Her dementia had been getting worse and we realised it was no longer an option for her to stay at home with carers, so very reluctantly, I arranged for her move
to Ashton Manor. I soon realised that this was the best thing, not only for me but also for her. She loved it and even thought she was on holiday.
I was amazed by how wonderful all the staff were. When she became ill, she was taken to hospital, but they had no time to look after her. Ashton Manor quickly said, bring her home to us and we will look after her. I cannot thank them enough for the way they cared for her through her short stay here, but in particular, the last few days of her life. I, like many others, have always feared having to go into a home, but if that home was Ashton Manor, then I would eagerly go.

I really want to thank the staff for the great care they have given my grandma over the past year. They are really nice and always go above and beyond to make her happy and comfortable. Her bedroom and the living room is always clean and there are lots of things for her to do there. I trust Ashton Manor
to take good care of my grandma and I would definitely recommend it to other families with elderly loved ones.

The staff are always pleasant and helpful. The surroundings are extremely nice and comfortable - like being in a first-class hotel. Mum moved into Ashton Manor 12 months ago (5th October 2020), from her own home of over 60 years. As Alzheimer’s progressed her mental and physical health was deteriorating we knew things had to change. Her safety and happiness being paramount finding the right home for her was not easy. Ashton Manor
had not opened, I visited, discussed care and facilities, took a look round; it felt right so mum's moving-in date was arranged. Yes, her memory has deteriorated, she was initially quite distressed and she lost some weight. For us, it has been hard through COVID not being able to call in to see her whenever we want to. Now 12 months on, mum is happy, she has gained weight, she is enjoying activities, she is smiling. For us seeing the pictures of her and knowing she is safe and very well cared for confirms that for mum, and for us, the right home has been found. All the staff at Ashton Manor provide truly excellent personalised care, we will be eternally grateful to every one of you. Thank you.

We've been so impressed with Ashton Manor since Granny moved in. The amount of daily activities that really get the residents involved is fantastic. She is always smiling and joining in, even proud to show off her painted nails and new haircuts. The food looks amazing. It's great to see the daily updates
on Facebook to see what they've all been up to each day, especially during Covid-19 when visiting wasn't allowed. It's a great comfort to the rest of the family to know that she's in the right place and getting all the care that she needs.

After looking at several care homes for my husband who has dementia, my daughter and I chose Ashton Manor as it is brand new, beautifully furnished, and has all the latest technology. My husband began 4 weeks respite on 1st February. He settled well, enjoying lots of different activities and the excellent
food. As he was happy, we decided he should stay permanently in the best place for him. The staff are all lovely and caring, whilst keeping me informed.

When it came to that time, looking for care for Mum was a daunting prospect. I phoned so many places, spoke to so many people, looked online for help, advice and guidance. I asked for recommendations. I asked to look round. I asked for help. As soon as I spoke with the Manager from Ashton Manor I just
knew it was going to be right. I was welcomed to view the home at my convenience and as soon as I walked through the door it confirmed my feelings that this was the perfect place for mum. Modern, clean, beautiful decor, and a warm welcoming ambience. This home takes a person-centred approach to caring. Each resident treated as an individual with specific likes and needs. Nothing is too much trouble. I am kept informed and up to date regularly by committed and caring staff.
I and the rest of the family feel so relieved that mum is safe and cared for in such a lovely, environment. I can, and have recommended Aston Manor to others recently. It is, without doubt, in a league of its own.

"I’ve progressed a lot, and it was the right time to step up," Lee says, highlighting his commitment to growth and success.


Lee's approach to cooking perfectly mirrors the core values of Evermore Care: well-being, freedom, and community. His priority? The well-being of our residents. "The well-being of the residents is enjoying the food and making sure they have the nutrients they need," Lee states, reflecting his care and dedication.


Freedom, to Lee, means allowing residents to relish their favourite foods. "All our residents have the freedom of choice, to have the things they enjoy and the food they want," he proudly shares. Lee's Kitchen truly champions resident freedom.
