Ashton Manor Care Home

Mum moved into Ashton Manor 12 months ago (5th October 2020), from her own home of over 60 years. As Alzheimer’s progressed her mental and physical health was deteriorating we knew things had to change. Her safety and happiness being paramount finding the right home for her was not easy. Ashton Manor had not opened, I visited, discussed care and facilities, took a look round; it felt right so mum's moving-in date was arranged. Yes, her memory has deteriorated, she was initially quite distressed and she lost some weight. For us, it has been hard through COVID not being able to call in to see her whenever we want to. Now 12 months on, mum is happy, she has gained weight, she is enjoying activities, she is smiling. For us seeing the pictures of her and knowing she is safe and very well cared for confirms that for mum, and for us, the right home has been found. All the staff at Ashton Manor provide truly excellent personalised care, we will be eternally grateful to every one of you. Thank you.

We've been so impressed with Ashton Manor since Granny moved in. The amount of daily activities that really get the residents involved is fantastic. She is always smiling and joining in, even proud to show off her painted nails and new haircuts. The food looks amazing. It's great to see the daily updates on Facebook to see what they've all been up to each day, especially during Covid-19 when visiting wasn't allowed. It's a great comfort to the rest of the family to know that she's in the right place and getting all the care that she needs.

Ashton Manor, excellent! My Mum has been twice for respite care it is such a relief to find a care home that really cares for her. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming. Although times have been trying since Ashton Manor opened, with Covid, they have managed it well and kept everyone safe. I feel so confident of the care my Mum is booked in for another four weeks very soon! Thank you.

The staff are so caring and welcoming and the facilities are excellent. My mum has settled in so well and the care she is receiving is helping her to feel settled and at home already. I would fully recommend this home to anyone looking for 10/10 care.

Ashton Manor has a very bright, cheerful appearance. The staff are very friendly. I am very happy that my stepmother is in such a caring place. It was a lovely experience to visit her there. I am also grateful for the load this has taken off the rest of the family.

Excellent care home with so much going on. Caring staff and wonderful food. Would highly recommend for caring for all needs. Management are approachable and friendly. The care home is more like a five-star hotel.

Our neighbour for twenty-seven years has recently become a resident and it was lovely to see her in such good spirits, with her sense of humour and well-being clearly evident. The care manager and staff were very helpful and this new home is in pristine condition. It was a welcoming and very pleasant experience.

After looking at several care homes for my husband who has dementia, my daughter and I chose Ashton Manor as it is brand new, beautifully furnished, and has all the latest technology. My husband began 4 weeks respite on 1st February. He settled well, enjoying lots of different activities and the excellent food. As he was happy, we decided he should stay permanently in the best place for him. The staff are all lovely and caring, whilst keeping me informed.

I and the rest of the family feel so relieved that mum is safe and cared for in such a lovely, environment. I can, and have recommended Aston Manor to others recently. It is, without doubt, in a league of its own.

Ashton Manor is like a 5-star hotel with the best technology. The carers and staff are absolutely fabulous and dedicated to the care of the residents, whilst keeping relatives fully informed. I cannot praise my Dad's carers enough, they bring the best out in him and make him very happy. There are excellent daily activities to suit all residents and their needs. I would definitely recommend Ashton Manor to anyone requiring respite or permanent care.

My mum and I looked at various places prior to choosing Ashton Manor and we are absolutely delighted with our choice. The house itself is modern, contemporary and beautifully decorated and mum has an en suite room overlooking a pretty courtyard. All staff have been very helpful and pleasant, making mum feel very secure and confident in this new life choice. Mum’s move couldn’t have been more positive and she is seeing it as a new phase in her life making the most of the activities on offer and enjoying the yummy food.

Ashton Manor was a breath of fresh air. Mum had been in a care home since the end of January 2020 and although it was a very homely care home it was too restrictive for what she needed. Mum is a 92-year-old with dementia so we were struggling especially during the pandemic to find and view a suitable home. When we came across Ashton Manor and were allowed to visit before it opened, it was a place that when you walked in said: “this is the one”. We moved mum in as soon as was possible (20th Oct). The attention to the detail and focus on those little but so meaningful memory joggers were fantastic. Obviously being a new build the decor, furniture and facilities are top class. The change in mum is amazing and so visible. The staff, that obviously we have only met in passing on the way to the visiting pod are all very positive and we can’t wait to experience the full potential of Ashton Manor when pandemic restrictions are lifted. Please continue doing what you are doing.
