Abbey Wood Park Nursing Home

Fantastic the care my dad gets is brilliant the staff are also fantastic the staff are always available to help overall very happy that Dad is here. Home is clean and tidy food is really good to suit Dad's needs.

First day Mum was treated with respect and sensitivity and very warmly welcomed at Abbey Wood Park by all staff. Mum is receiving excellent and compassionate care, giving her five children peace of mind knowing she is in very good hands, all staff are dedicated and a credit to their profession, and they should be proud of themselves.

All staff are very caring and loving their clients and are very respectful towards them. Always some activities going on in the home and outdoors. The home is very clean and well-run by management.

But it has turned out to be the right one. He is happy and safe and has more freedom than he did at home.

Abbey Wood Park Nursing Home provided a safe environment for their service users with an adequate level of staffing to provide the activities the service advertises.

My husband has been at Abbey Wood Park since September 2022 after having an unsuccessful residency at another care home. From the day of arrival, my husband has been happy and content and this is a result of the care given by the staff. All of the staff are patient, kind and empathetic and adapt their approach depending on the needs of the residents. It has a lovely family feel and everyone is welcome. We love visiting and spending time with my husband and his friend and their families. The manager has a fantastic team here and I am so happy that she was able to accommodate my husband when he was most in need. I would 100% recommend Abbey Wood Park.

My mother was moved to Abbey Wood after being moved on from her previous home due to being a high falls risk. After quite a while of trying mood swings due to Mum's dementia, things are finally settling, plus to reviews to Mum's medication. The staff are so good with Mum. Patient and kind. It's such a weight off my mind to know Mum is now settled and is well looked after.

My dad moved to Abbey Wood Park Nursing Home in February this year. We are very happy with the care he is receiving from both the nursing staff and carers. They show him love and care and nothing is too much trouble. It is a very happy environment and the manager and her team should be applauded.

Having looked after my dad for over 3 years at home I was extremely apprehensive and resistant to him going into a home. However, from day 1, the staff have been absolutely fantastic and made me feel much more at ease with him being there. My dad has quite high behavioural needs but the level of care and enthusiasm from the care and management staff is amazing and really helped my dad settle very quickly. We as a family couldn’t be more grateful to them.

Can’t thank them all enough and I would 100% recommend Abbey Wood should you ever need it for a loved one.

From what I've seen of Abbey Wood Park Nursing Home management and staff do their very best to make the residents comfortable, content and happy. Staff are so obliging when you visit and the place is very clean.

The manager is also very helpful and approachable and happy to discuss issues and help with decisions.

Entertainment etc. was really good during 2023. Well done to all.

My husband has been in Abbey Wood for the last three months, he has settled in well. The staff are amazing, lovely, caring people. I feel much better in myself knowing he is getting the care he gets at Abbey Wood.

My husband came into Abbey Wood for a short time with dementia. The love and care all the staff gave him and myself and my 2 sons was amazing. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Even making up a reclining chair for me to sleep in next to my husband meant so much to me as I didn't want to leave him. When he passed away, a young carer (male) came in, he bowed to my husband and put his hand across his chest in prayer. I will always remember that moment.

My family and I are extremely delighted with the care, attention and support Dad receives from Abbey Wood Park Nursing Home. We took considerable time trying to find a suitable home for Dad and we are delighted to have chosen Abbey Wood as Dad is very happy and settled there. The staff are very friendly and welcoming and cannot do enough for residents and families. We would highly recommend this care facility which provides great care, is fun, clean and has a spacious well-maintained environment. They take pride in their work and arrange lots of events and experiences for all in their care - when possible.

My nan has been at this care home since August. She had come from another care home where she, unfortunately, had a fall and broke her hip and ended up in hospital. The hospital were trying to move her to other care homes, saying we did not have a choice and were moving her regardless. We had viewed other care homes but we did not like the standards there. We viewed Abbey Wood Park after being recommended by the hospital to try and get my nan in here. Since my nan has been there the staff have been lovely, she is always happy being looked after. The Manager is always around on the floor and strives to help in any way she can. Thank you so much!
