Overall Experience
Avoid at all costs. My mum experienced two unexplained falls out of bed. One resulting in a head injury with a wound to the left eyebrow resulting in going to A&E. Mum also suffered two unexplained skin tears on her right shin, both within a week. An ambulance was called for on three separate occasions, she was taken to A&E. She has advanced dementia and the first time was sent on her own. When I got to the hospital my mum was extremely distressed. I asked the care home manager why mum was sent on her own and she said it was because of covid. I had to point out that people with dementia are allowed one person with them when they are taken to the hospital. On the second and third occasions, they tried to send her again unaccompanied! The second time the staff thought she had had a stroke, in fact, it was dehydration and a urine infection!

The staff were very nice individually but couldn’t work as a team. Poor communication between staff with regard to residents care needs. If you value your loved one do not put in here.

Overall Experience

On behalf of my mam, she was very happy with the care she received and had no complaints. Regarding myself, when I rang up they were very obliging and explained things to me about mam. I believe no one can pass comment, only the patient, and mam felt safe.
