The accommodation and estate are immaculate.
All staff I have met are friendly, welcoming, helpful, polite and above all caring.
A lovely care environment.
Mum's room is excellent. The room has everything that she needs.

The team don’t mind when you visit. We have visited Mum early, in the daytime and late. We always receive a friendly welcome.

Mum initially moved to Heathlands for respite care and has now signed up as a longer-term resident. The physical facilities, food and activities are all very good - however it's the staff who make Heathlands exceptional, and a place I would choose for myself. All the staff are friendly and caring. They work very hard to give my mother the best possible quality of life. Both regular staff and management are welcoming and helpful when friends and family visit, and communicate well regarding matters of care and wellbeing. The staff are keen to build relationships with family as well as with their residents and this makes me feel that I am included in Mum's care and life, and gives me as much reassurance as it's possible to have given I can't be with her every day.

My father was one of the first residents of Heathlands, during the pandemic, and my brother has just spent the last three months on respite care. Just as before, we found the staff to be wonderfully caring and supportive, with many thoughtful activities and outings on offer. The building is relatively new and it is a very attractive facility with lots of good places to sit with friends and family, or just to read the paper, although the trees could use a bit more care!

I heartily recommend Heathlands.

My mums been here for over a year now, and the staff are amazing, not only do they give full love and care to my mum, but they are so lovely and helpful to all family members.
Over the past week, everyone at Heathlands House has gone above and beyond to get my mum through a very difficult week.
My mum couldn’t be in a better place, and when I have to leave, I fully trust she’s in the best hands.
Continuous care with love.
Everything is lovely and clean and very homely.
The food is lovely.

Couldn’t wish for any more.

First impressions, the grounds outside are neat and tidy, the garden is cared for, the building is modern and well laid out, security is safe, reception is always present, and the team are friendly, appears efficient and helpful.

My father was in another home for a few weeks and we just didn't like it and was old and tired and uncared for. So glad we found Heathlands House for him.

A well deserved five star rating. The home is well equipped and well maintained, staff are competent, caring and a cohesive team. Both our parents have dementia, moving to Heathlands recently. My father is blind with mobility issues and is treated with dignity and respect when helped with self-care tasks he can no longer do. He is happier than he has been for a long time.

My mother who experiences a lot of confusion is helped by a team who are dedicated and enthusiastic in their knowledge of how to help people with dementia who feel scared and isolated by their experiences. Already she has been calmed and when very confused is able to calm down and self-help with some gentle phrases of reassurance that the care team have repeated to her. When she has a good day there are homely gatherings where she can join in a range of activities in a normal and recognisable way, which also reassures her. Social services and mental health team also feedback to us this is a very good care home.

When we moved my aunt to Cambridge, we were expecting her to move into an extra care flat, as that was her wish (she is fiercely independent) and what she could afford. To ease the transition, we brought her to Heathlands on a respite care basis, while she was assessed by a social worker. She settled in quickly and it was a huge relief to see my aunt happy, stimulated, relaxed, clean, warm, eating well and receiving her medication regularly.
Staff have always done their utmost to accommodate my aunt's wishes, care for her, entertain and humour her and protect her dignity (ageing is cruel). Without exception, the management, care, admin, domestic and lifestyle staff have been kind, personable and respectful towards my aunt and also to us whenever we have visited.

The care assessment eventually concluded that my aunt's physical and mental condition was such that she needed residential care. All credit to the staff at Heathlands, by that point my aunt actively wanted to stay there.

My father was a resident at Heathlands House Care Home for six months. I was very happy with the care he received and didn't see or overhear anything I wasn't happy with whenever I visited. He was warmly welcomed and helped settle in and his move to the nursing floor was managed very well. The staff were very professional, warm and respectful to my father and to the whole family, particularly in the weeks before he passed away.

My Father was a resident at Heathlands House for the last few months of his life and we can't thank them enough for the care and support they showed not only towards him but to us as a family. My father's journey through the care system has been very unpleasant and we are glad that at the end of his life we were able to ensure that he received exemplary care from such amazing people. Thank you.

I cannot recommend Heathlands highly enough. My mother moved there at the end of June from an (extremely expensive) care home which had provided very poor levels of care. The transformation in my mother was outstanding. She had been diagnosed with dementia in March, and her language had deteriorated. However, within three days of moving to Heathlands, her language was improving and soon returned to normal. The defining feature of Heathlands is that they really care for the patients. All the staff are friendly and welcoming to patients and visitors alike. My mother was extremely well cared for and much more content for the final months of her life. A huge thank you to everyone at Heathlands House.

My father-in-law was in the Heathlands family between March and until his death in September 2022. Although he was anxious about going into a home, the staff at Heathlands made his transition so easy. They helped make his room homely and familiar, they cared for his every need and encouraged him to be happy in his new home. The management team and the staff were so empathetic, caring, and supportive to my father-in-law and to us as family members. In his last few days at the home, the nursing staff could not have done more to make him comfortable and pain-free. Thank you to everyone at Heathlands.

I have worked for Care UK previously and began working at Heathlands House in 2022.

I’ve seen the high standard of care for residents and great teams. Everyone is very committed to ensuring that every resident is happy and cared for.

My favourite part of the day is the mornings, when I walk around the home, checking everything is ok, and chatting with residents, relatives and my colleagues.

I am very passionate about delivering person-centred care. I love seeing a smile on the residents’ faces when you have made a difference in their day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
