Dad is very well cared for at Heathlands House, he enjoys the social atmosphere while receiving the personal care and attention he needs. Equally the staff are all so friendly with us when visiting Dad or on the phone, they have helped me set up Dads phone and portal, and are always ready to help Dad make phone calls. Dad invited us to join him in the carol singing, a super evening with carols, mince pies and mulled wine, giving us all a great memory.

My mother was very unsettled when she arrived at Heathlands House after a spell in hospital.

The staff have gone out of their way to help her settle. Everyone has been very professional and kind and involved me completely in her care plan. The dementia safe garden is a real bonus as my mother can walk around outside in the fresh air and is taking a lot of interest in the plants. She especially likes the water feature. The food is of an excellent standard with well balanced freshly prepared meals. I would recommend Heathlands. It’s a well-planned home with a great team.

My mother was previously in another home and she moved here at the beginning of August to be closer to me - she's been in Care UK homes for several years now. She is now in the latter stages of dementia and needs constant, careful and loving care. The Care UK staff have always been amazing but Heathlands House is right up there. The building/facilities are exceptional and the staff are wonderful. Everyone I've dealt with has been utterly professional, helpful and kind. They always try to accommodate any requests I have and have involved me in completely developing her care plan. They look after my mum with utmost care and respect and I know she is in a safe, caring environment. A great home run by a great team.

I have worked for Care UK previously and began working at Heathlands House in 2022.

I’ve seen the high standard of care for residents and great teams. Everyone is very committed to ensuring that every resident is happy and cared for.

My favourite part of the day is the mornings, when I walk around the home, checking everything is ok, and chatting with residents, relatives and my colleagues.

I am very passionate about delivering person-centred care. I love seeing a smile on the residents’ faces when you have made a difference in their day. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends.
