What a fantastic place. I am so pleased to see my mate so well and looking great and that is down to your care.
A lovely welcoming place and all staff are very helpful and cheerful. Nothing too much trouble.
Thank you.
Excellent service and all staff make me feel welcome any time of the day. I can't thank staff enough for everything as my dad is happy.
Better than a hotel. Clean, tidy, staff are brilliant.
The staff are simply wonderful. My mother needs lots of care as she is wheelchair-bound. The staff are very diligent and care with kindness.
The care/nursing staff at Mossdale Residence are outstanding and do all they can to accommodate any concerns you have. Mum is well cared for which is a comfort for us. Access to the home is much improved due to the recruitment of a new reception team, who also staff the cafe/bar area which is fantastic and offers the residents a change of scenery and views of the garden. I do feel that the staff levels are still on the low side which causes pressure on the existing hard-working team. The areas I feel could improve is Mum's clothes don’t get changed as often as I would like, I usually do this myself when I visit as her clothes are often dirty. I also don’t think that she is bathed as regularly as she should be. I’m sure this is due to staffing problems and possibly my mum's reluctance to comply! More activities would be welcome too. Overall though this is a positive review and would highly recommend Mossdale, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
Thank you for taking time to leave this kind review. Mossdale Residence is a new home so it is good to hear your feedback of the café/bar area, we hope that our residents and visitors continue to enjoy many happy times spent there, at the heart of the home. The staff at Mossdale are brilliant. They look after my mother with kindness and dignity. The staff are always willing to talk to me should I have any concerns regarding my mothers well being. The food is really good and plentiful. Thank you everyone at Mossdale.
Every person is very friendly and helpful and the support for all family is excellent, service is really good. Weekends are sometimes difficult to get entry as staff on reception are only Monday-Friday. The staff in the kitchen are helpful at these times. Thank you for all the attention you give.
All staff are very helpful and enthusiastic, a very pleasant environment.
The cinema room never used.
Never taken on any outings in over a year.
Have had discussions with other relatives who feel equally dissatisfied with this.
Personally feel that the staff they do have there work hard but there needs to be more attention paid to time spent with patients, not just sitting them in a lounge all day every day.
Every time this is mentioned nothing changes.
Thank you for taking the time to leave this review. We have recently recruited many new colleagues and have many more currently going through our onboarding process. We have doubled our well-being resource and are currently onboarding a colleague for this role; we are advertising for a colleague...
I am happy with the care my husband receives. The staff are caring and easy to communicate with. However, there does not appear to be any activities he can take part in and as a consequence he becomes bored.
We have a full-time Wellbeing Co-ordinator employed within the service who solely supports residents with activities. We have activity planners displayed across the home which can evidence what we have planned for each day. We will get the Wellbeing Co-ordinator to reach out to you so that we can...
Since my mum moved to Mossdale Residence she has been very happy. The staff are fabulous, hard working and kind. It has a real family atmosphere and when we visit we are made to feel very welcome. My mum's quality of life has improved greatly and she has made new friends and joins in all the activities. The home itself is of a very high standard and myself and my family would recommend it.
My mum has been in a care home for 18 months but the big challenge was when we had to move her from one care home to another, with the new care home being Mossdale Residence in York. Despite the fact that we were still under COVID lockdown conditions the staff at Mossdale, in conjunction with myself and a lady from the Council completed the move successfully. Once in her new environment, everyone at Mossdale made her feel comfortable and nothing was too much trouble if she needed anything. She has now been there for 3 months and she looks healthier and happier than I have seen for a long time. I cannot thank the administrator, the Manager and the rest of the team enough for how well they are looking after "mum" and I know that my mum is in a "happy place" thanks for everything you have done and no doubt will continue to do whilst she is there.
My mum entered the home for respite following a breakdown of home caring, her getting a UTI and this combined with early stages of dementia she had started to exhibit. She was living in sheltered housing and some of her behaviours related to the UTI were also causing problems with the neighbours. I can’t praise the staff highly enough at Mossdale at how they handled the initial admission, the early days when lots of the problems she arrived with still existed and how they have brought my mum back and given her some dignity. Although, due to COVID, I’ve not had a chance to have a full look around the things I can see look lovely. My mum has praised how caring people are and also her room and the facilities. She also loves the food. The communications have been excellent and interacting with people has been straight forward with all the COVID checks in place.
My husband’s individual care plan ensures the routine he is familiar with continues, encouraged with gentle kindness, a joke or a smile. To see my husband relaxed, bright-eyed and smiling says it all. We have found his perfect home from home. Our heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful staff at Mossdale
Mum had a week of respite care at Mossdale Residence. She settled in quickly and enjoyed the company of staff and other residents. She enjoyed the activities including the exercise routine. She loved Betty's Cafe! Mum had a very comfortable stay.
The nursing team have worked tirelessly to encourage my mum’s recovery and the difference in a few weeks is encouraging.
My mum is very settled, happy, cared for and she tells me the food is delicious!
Mum especially enjoys the games of bingo!
The communication from the home manager is excellent and knowledgeable, nothing is too much trouble.
The staff in admin are friendly, helpful and efficient.
During what has been a distressing and stressful few months for Mum and myself, the team at Mossdale have made this transition to permanent care for my mum much easier to come to terms with.
I have no hesitation in recommending Mossdale Residence to anyone considering permanent or respite care.
Absolutely wonderful.
Thank you to all at Mossdale Residence.
The kindness and care shown to our mother could not be better and the wonderful facilities are first class in this homely residence. The difference in our mother since moving to Mossdale, Burnholme, six days ago is remarkable. We would highly recommend this residence. Grateful thanks to the manager and all the staff.
