Royal Windsor Care Home

My mum sadly passed away in Royal Windsor; she had been a resident for just over a year during which time the staff have been absolutely phenomenal. My mum was a proud lady and she was treated with respect, dignity and friendliness by everyone. All the staff genuinely care about the residents and also family; they go beyond their duty as 'a job' and it is a 'home from home'. I thank them so much for caring for my precious mum.

I am delighted with the care my aunt received whilst living at the Royal Windsor for 5 months. It is a warm and welcoming care home. Numerous activities are available and my aunt enjoyed joining in and making new friends. Bedrooms are well appointed allowing for privacy and dignity for personal care. The care is first class. Staff are very experienced, supportive, kind and respectful. My aunt felt very safe, happy and loved. I can not praise the home highly enough.

I am delighted with the care that my dad and his wife are both receiving at Royal Windsor. Everything about it is first class, all the staff are attentive, welcoming and supportive and nothing seems too much trouble for anyone. My dad is immobile and his wife suffers from dementia so there are certain challenges presented on a daily basis, all the care staff attend to their needs with dignity and compassion, I cannot praise them highly enough. The interior of the home itself is also immaculate and decorated to an incredibly high standard. I would highly recommend Royal Windsor to anyone.

My father has now been in Royal Windsor for several months. The care is impeccable, every requirement is catered for, no limitations should a request be made. The nursing staff, care assistants etc are incredibly kind, considerate, thoughtful and loving, all have a great sense of humour and engage with my father well. No demand is too great and is favourably considered, at all levels. The food is exquisite and plentiful and is available at all times should the residents be peckish. The idea of coffee, tea and cakes etc, which are available at all times, makes the residents feel they are at home. The medical attention is second to none, my father's medical requirements are quite extensive and he is truly well cared for on all levels. I would like to take this opportunity to thank all staff for the kind attention, respect and love they have shown towards my father.

Great home but too expensive. The home is excellent and the staff are first class. Activities are below par and the charges are ridiculous. The food and rooms are superb. The outside is not looked after very well but the inside is good.

I have found the staff at the care home very friendly and helpful. Their care and consideration of my partner's mother has reassured me that she is in very good hands. As we live in New Zealand it is very important to us that we don't have to worry about her.

We have had an excellent experience in the home with regards to my brother. There have been a few little emergencies with his health and we are extremely pleased with how everything was dealt with. He is well settled and relaxed in Royal Windsor which means I can relax knowing all is well and taken care of.

We are so happy that the food is wonderful and he has put on a healthy amount of weight. Thank you to you all.

Mum has been at the care home since it opened in December 2021. As I live in New Zealand this was the first time I have visited her in her new home. It is the happiest I have seen mum in a long time. Royal Windsor is a wonderful care home with great facilities and caring professional staff. It is always sad to say goodbye to mum but a least I know she is being well looked after. Thank you.

This is my mum's second period of respite at Royal Windsor. Like the first time the staff are very welcoming and supportive, nothing is too much trouble for them. It was not an easy decision for mum to go into a care home but the staff have helped us to make it considerably easier. Thank you.

My friend is having respite care while her family is on holiday. The care and attention that she is getting is excellent. The carers are attentive and kind and nothing is of any trouble, would recommend this care home to anyone.

They have always been very helpful and supportive and the facilities are first-class.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Royal Windsor Lodge for the wonderful care my elderly aunt received whilst convalescing after a fall. All her needs were met in a thoroughly professional and caring manner and the staff couldn’t have been more kind and helpful. A truly lovely experience.

My Mum has Dementia that had progressed very rapidly over the past year. My Dad who was her carer became unable to care for her anymore. We had Carers at home, but Mum wasn’t happy. They have both moved into Royal Windsor. The Carers are very good at helping Mum to keep her independence. We were able to furnish the room with Mum’s things so that she can keep her memories. We were able to replace the chair with hers that is electric and helps her get up if she needs it. As the Care home has only been open for a few months, it is slowly filling up and all the staff are very friendly, including all the new ones who are joining the team.

My mother has always declared she would never go into a care home following a bad experience with my father’s care some years ago. Unfortunately she has recently been falling on a regular basis and asked me to arrange some respite care for her. After being shown round Royal Windsor I quickly decided this was the very place for her to have a “holiday”. The very fact that it has the appearance of a high class hotel rather than a care home was a deciding factor. The decor is outstanding and the staff are just wonderful. Everyone is friendly but professional. I would have no hesitation in recommending Royal Windsor to anyone.

I visited my friend whilst staying at the Royal Windsor Care Home in Grantham. I felt the staff were very attentive during my visit here and the home itself wowed me with its stunning interior decor.

My mother recently spent a short period of respite at Royal Windsor which I can highly recommend. Everything about the home is excellent the rooms, facilities, food, activities and the staff are all kind, caring and attentive to my mother's needs. I would not hesitate in booking my mother in for further respite in the future should the be required.

My 89 year old father had a fall last autumn, which necessitated a hospital stay and rehabilitation. When he had a further fall in February, we chose Royal Windsor, Grantham, for him to have intensive physio and rehabilitation. My father - who can be quite difficult to please, initially thought he would like to stay at Royal Windsor forever, so good was the care. As that would mean being without my mother (for whom a residential setting would be totally inappropriate at the current time), he realised his stay was short term. The standard of care was excellent and the success of rehabilitation was considerable. My father was virtually immobile and very anxious over falling when he went into Royal Windsor. He now walks with his frame quite confidently and is much stronger and more positive. He also looks very much better in himself.

The facilities are fresh, well kept and state of the art. We were particularly impressed with the extra effort made by the staff to accommodate our mother's husband when he arrived after hours, their evening meals were held for them, and the staff stayed on to insure he was settled in.
