Our Home Manager’s journey in care began after leaving school when she chose to study Health and Social Care, driven by a genuine desire to support others. She first gained experience working in hospitals before moving into care homes, where she discovered her passion for building meaningful relationships with residents and their families. Over the years, she has progressed through a range of roles, from Care Assistant to Senior, Deputy Manager, and now Home Manager, giving her a deep understanding of the day-to-day experiences of both residents and care teams.
Throughout her career, Laura has supported homes through periods of change, helping teams come together, rebuild confidence and focus on what matters most: providing compassionate, high-quality care. When the interim management opportunity arose with Advinia Health Care, Laura felt strongly that her experience could help support the team at Bishops Cleeve and continue strengthening the service for the people who call it home.
Her leadership style is approachable and supportive. She believes that when staff feel valued, listened to and supported, they can give their very best to residents. Creating a warm, respectful environment where everyone feels appreciated is something she cares deeply about.
For Laura, resident wellbeing is always the priority. She believes every resident should feel safe, comfortable and surrounded by kindness, with care that allows them to live happily and with dignity in a place that truly feels like home.
As Laura begins her journey at Bishops Cleeve, she wants residents and families to know that her door is always open. She is committed to being transparent, listening carefully and working together with the team to continue building a caring, supportive environment where residents can thrive.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time at the gym, being with her family and taking relaxing walks with her dog.
With over 12 years of experience in the UK care sector, our Deputy Manager has progressed from community and live-in care through to Team Leader roles in specialist dementia nursing homes, achieving her Level 4 qualification before stepping into her current leadership position.
Inspired from a young age by caring for her grandfather and following in her mother’s footsteps as a community carer, she has always been driven by a desire to make a genuine difference in people’s lives.
She believes outstanding care starts with well-trained, supported staff and a strong person-centred approach, always putting residents’ needs first while ensuring families feel reassured and involved.
Described as approachable, understanding and full of positive energy, she brings warmth and dedication to the home every day. Outside of work, she enjoys shopping, movies, socialising and spending time with her dog, returning to work refreshed and ready to support both residents and her team.
Bringing over ten years of experience in customer relations and sales leadership within the care sector. His career has centred around supporting families through every stage of the care journey, strengthening community relationships, and championing a compassionate, person-centred approach.
