We did not think there seemed to be enough handheld phones available for the use of people who would not use the mobile phones for physical or mental reasons, resulting in a lack of contact with family and friends at times. On our booked visit, we found sitting on plastic chairs in the art room very off-putting (may have to use it because of covid restrictions?). We would have found it more comfortable in the foyer if nowhere else could be used. Only small details as everything else was very good. All the staff were extra attentive.

We have the music room, art room, and garden room, allowing families to have the choice of which room they would prefer but this is on a first come first serve basis. Each room has different styles of chairs but for infection control, we must ensure the rooms meet safety standards and so the chairs have to be a wipeable material. Hello, my name is Cameron and I am a chef here at Avery Park care home Kettering. I have been with Avery Healthcare for over 2 years now and started my career in the company as a kitchen assistant and progressed to chef.
I studied catering & hospitality at Tresham College after I finished school at the age of 16 and spent 2 years at college whilst working part-time in a kitchen.
Within my job, I help assist the chefs in preparing and cooking delicious and nutritional meals for our residents to enjoy every day.
