Overall, very good with very caring and permanent staff but too much use of agency staff. Lunch varies but usually satisfactory. I cannot comment on breakfast or evening meal. Security is almost too good with access to both building, lifts and stairs coded which is very inconvenient.

Excellent facility. Everything looks new and in nice condition. There was an issue with what appeared to be lots of temporary or brand-new staff. This resulted in the care being received wasn't up to scratch.

Poor communication between different functions was observed on a regular basis.

As a friend of the resident - he appeared to be happy during his time in the home - able to have a lovely birthday with friends he had invited - a chef provided at his request a cake - lovely food - the use of a private room. Starting on the ground floor he was able to wonder and meet other residents - either in the lounge or his room and have visitors at all times - coffee etc. always available in the lounge. Moving to the third floor and needing nursing care after a stay in hospital - nothing was too much bother for the staff who coped with his frustration as his illness progressed and he felt unable to do as he had previously. The food and drink provided - difficult to comment - my friend seemed suited and I was not involved with the care costs ie value for money.

My wife came to Priesty for bed rest Oct 2022 having a pressure sore, which is nearly healed now. She is now able to partake in activities which are still limited due to her mobility. The staff and carers always take time to engage with her, but sometimes I do have to mention when things are not right, usually when agency staff don't know her needs. The meals seem better with a new chef. Overall the nurses keep me informed about her care etc. which I appreciate.

Priesty Fields is an amazing, happy, homely and friendly care home, with a very high standard of care, comfort and cleanliness. The staff are the 'heart of the home' and they constantly put the needs and care of residents first. They have provided Dad with a wonderful level of residential care, that gives him a feeling of safety and security while still giving him a voice to choose his own daily routine, which allows him to live his life at his own pace. With the added levels of excellent nursing care at the home, Dad's medical needs are taken care of now and will be in the future, giving us the peace of mind that he will never have to move and will always have the care and company of these amazing staff who he has come to know so well. The home not only offers wonderful facilities but also has a dedicated team of activity coordinators who organise fun, interesting, diverse events that can be enjoyed by everyone, whenever they choose with no pressure. We feel that Dad is enjoying 'the very best of care' and are extremely grateful to everyone for their friendship, dedication and hard work.

I self-referred for 2 weeks because I needed observation when I was discharged from a hospital stay. I was made welcome and enjoyed not having to choose and serve meals for myself at home and having a nurse on site at all times if there had been a problem with my recovery (which there wasn't). The facilities available were very good.

I came here for 2 weeks convalescent after being in hospital, I had unfortunately broken my leg which is now pinned but non-weight bearing.
I now live on my own having just lost my husband. My youngest son lives nearby and asked if I would come here to be cared for and for peace of mind for him.

He couldn't have chosen a better place, I have been well satisfied in every aspect and would not hesitate to recommend Priesty Fields. All staff are very professional but really caring, my visitors have been very impressed.

My wife is resident at Priesty Fields in an elegant, modern building both inside and outside. Has adequate parking space. Resident's rooms are large and very well furnished. Interior rooms for hairdressing, a pub, a cinema, a gym, spa and well-stocked library, well trained staff provide excellent care for residents as required by each individual showing kindness, patience and sympathy. GP visits and on-call. Three meals a day with a choice of dishes plus evening supper. Relatives and friends are always welcome with dog if appropriate.

It is a home for people with medical issues, not just an old folks home. There are regular nurse rounds and is fashioned after the NHS. Same shift patterns etc.

Due to the economy at the moment the costs to stay at the home have increased to the highest levels they have been. The staff, mostly, are friendly and helpful.

My sister came to Preisty Fields Care Home on a temporary basis. Whilst a full care package was found, sadly this never happened due to my sister's sudden death in hospital. During the 6 months my sister was at Priesty Fields she was treated with care, compassion, dignity and most of all understanding. My sister had complex needs which the staff always managed to meet. I cannot thank the staff enough for all they did.

I have only good things to say about Priesty Fields. Our mum has been staying here on an assessment plan and is far from home in her eyes. The staff have made her feel better in very difficult times. They are friendly, kind and considerate, and nothing is too much trouble for them. All in all, I can only say a great big thank you for looking after and caring for our mum in the best way possible.

Mum has been living at Priesty Fields since June 2022. She really has settled into life and living here so well, I really had nothing to worry about. The care team, from the manager, nurses and carers, really are like an extended family and treat each and every resident like their own family. Any negative stereotype of care facilities couldn't be further from Priesty Fields - the whole atmosphere and cleanliness is just brilliant. So happy we found this perfect setting for mum.
