Charrington Manor Care Home is a lovely, brand-new home. My mother-in-law was the second resident welcomed there. All staff are very caring and approachable at all times. My mother-in-law needs constant nursing care and she is very well looked after.
I am so pleased we found this home for Mum and cannot
fault the care and attention given to her. I highly recommend this home.
Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Charrington Manor Care HomeHello Margaret, thank you so much, we are so pleased you moved her to us, she is such a pleasure to look after. I will pass your comments on to the staff and look forward to seeing you soon. Lesley.

Charrington Manor Care Home is a fantastic nursing home. They have wonderful entertainment and staff and they should be very proud of the home and their services. Each day us something to look forward to for the residents. I have worked in nursing homes, nothing comes near this home. My sister is so

My father is very happy living here in Charrington Manor Care Home. He loves everything, from the food, his room and the care shown to him by all the staff.
Nothing is too much trouble to ensure my father's best interests and well-being are taken care of.
My thanks to everyone involved.

From the start, he was very patient with us as we got to grips with the new home and team and comes up with some really good ideas and suggestions so we can continually improve our service to our residents. Taking away the joy of a birthday dinner at Charrington Manor Care Home, this place offers everything that a client/family member needs at this stage of life. The facilities are first-class and Charrington offers everything a client/family member needs and more. I'm extremely happy that my mother is
here and hoping that her journey here is one of contentment and happiness until she passes and meets her maker.

From the beginning, I have been extremely satisfied and really happy with the high level of staff care and premises. Extremely cheerful and smiley carers who are always willing to help! The premises are very clean, smart and tidy and the room is very spacious. Overall, I think you are a well thought
out retirement home. For improvement, I would design and add a little water fountain in the garden to cut out the noise from the road. Thank you!
Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Charrington Manor Care HomeDear Pascale, thank you so much for your feedback, I do think we have a water feature around the back of the garden but the feature hasn't been activated but will let the team know and that is a great idea. Look forward to seeing you with your family soon. Lesley.

My friend has only been at the care home a short time, but I am very impressed with the care she is getting. What a difference to the last home she was in. Everything is wonderful, can’t fault anything, wish I had found the home sooner.
Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Charrington Manor Care HomeThank you Suzy, I know you were all very anxious about whether the move was the right thing to do but it has been a great success and she is settling in really well. My Grandmother has recently been transferred to Charrington Manor Care Home from an inferior care facility that was not of our choosing. I have already been very impressed with the level of care she has received from the team at Charrington Manor Care Home. She has dementia which is progressing with
some speed and I feel that she could not be in a more comfortable and caring environment for her current needs. Looking forward to using the garden facilities as the weather improves. A lovely modern room with a view and an immaculate bathroom. Very helpful and careful staff, who are welcoming to visitors, at times to suit busy family members. Thank you everyone for taking care of my beloved Nanna at this difficult time in her life.
Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Charrington Manor Care HomeI will pass on your comments to the staff who are totally dedicated to your nanna and making her feel comfortable and cared for, she is becoming more engaged every day that passes and, of course, chose the winner of our Grand National sweep! We are looking forward to her new wheelchair arriving so we can take her out to the gardens to enjoy this lovely weather we are having.

Mum has only been in Charrington Manor Care Home for a little while but I can already see an improvement in her well being. At the previous care home, she seemed to spend all of her time asleep with no interest in anything. Well done Charrington Manor Care Home.
Reply from Lesley Loizou, Regional Community Relations Lead at Charrington Manor Care HomeDear David, thank you so much for your kind words and for your support leading up to mum's move to Charrington Manor, you gave us a great deal of help to understand her needs and have made it much easier for us to take care of her and delighted she was our Grand National winner!

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.938)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.938) out of 10 for Charrington Manor Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 59 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 59 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.938 for Charrington Manor Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (664 Excellents x 5) + (38 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 705 Ratings = 4.938
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Charrington Manor Care Home is based on 59 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 registered maximum number of service users is 16, which has been reached with 59 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
