Our mother has had a wonderful two years in Charrington Manor. All the staff have been excellent, and the atmosphere is homely, caring and relaxing. There are a wide range of activities for residents to join in as they wish. As her daughters, we have been able to enjoy our visits with Mum whilst knowing she is safe and very happy. The food has been of top quality so Mum's diet has improved tremendously. Also the medical care Mum has received here has also been excellent and much more thorough than we could arrange in her own home. This home is exceptional as are the wonderful staff.

Lovely atmosphere and caring staff. Great facilities and lots of activities. We looked at a number of care homes in the area for my mother who requires full time care and Charrington was the stand out choice.

My father-in-law moved into Charrington Manor a week ago. Everything was prepared excellently before his arrival. Clothes were labelled and laid out in his wardrobe. The room was spotless and well-presented with welcome gifts a lovely bonus. The staff have been brilliant encouraging him to make new friends and join in activities. Things couldn't have been better.

Thank you so much for your review, and pleased you had such a positive experience and that your father-in-law has settled in so well. We had a head start with him in fairness knowing him so well as he regularly visited his wife who had been with us for a while now and he seems to have fitted in like a hand to a glove.

A well-planned building.

Shower without a curtain is a bit messy! Do understand the reason for not providing a curtain. The overall care is good and the prompt response by the nurses when I had to be admitted to hospital was prompt and on return, I received good care. Many activities organised, not always to my taste - too many Elvis impersonators! Not much in the way of classical music. Numerous complaints of poor quality food - much is wasted I think - I would like a new supplier.

Mum became a resident at Charrington Manor in August 2023. Such a big change can be difficult but she was warmly welcomed and a lot of effort from everyone has helped Mum settle in and become part of the Charrington family. She now says she would never leave! Always a lovely warm, friendly atmosphere and efficient help, medical or otherwise is available.

My mother entered from hospital with very limited mobility, struggling to get about with a Zimmer frame and with no desire to eat. The staff have been excellent in encouraging her to build up her strength and confidence. She now walks freely and dances with the visiting entertainers! The staff's careful monitoring of her nutritional intake has also been enormously beneficial. She is now having a healthy diet and cannot believe me when I recall what a poor state she was in when she entered the care home 6 months ago. She feels it is a really supportive and friendly place to be and thoroughly enjoys all the activities that she can join in with.

Charrington Manor is a wonderful care home. My mother-in law-is very happy. Loves all the staff, who treat her like royalty. She was very down after a major cancer operation and her daughters worried that she wouldn’t be happy! She is fully recovered and the family is delighted with the care and attention she receives every day. The twinkle in her eyes has returned. There is an activity every day and she loves meal times. Charrington is a top care home with top people. Thank you to everyone.

Lovely staff and a beautiful building and garden. It’s the extra details that make such a difference; white linen table cloths and napkins, delicious food and drinks, comfy lounges, high ceilings and airy rooms. The cinema and hair and nail salon are excellent. Mum loves the variety of the afternoon live entertainment, especially the opportunities to dance and the opera singer. Staff don’t just help the residents, they constantly engage with them and spend time talking to them. Their kindness and warmth makes for a welcoming and happy home.

My husband has been at this home for a few months due to dementia. It has not been an easy journey for him or me, but the staff are amazing. Whenever I have had problems with him they are there to support me with such care, as much as they care for him. Dementia is the saddest disease and they look after him so well. My guilt over the whole situation has been awful, but they always put my mind at rest that he is fine and mostly happy. I can ring them anytime for an update as I do not see him as often as I would like due to our close connection seems to upset his time there. But I will always visit as I love this place and the staff. The best place for your relatives and my son knows if I ever have to go into a home this is the one for me.

My bedridden father has been a resident at Charrington Manor for over eighteen months and I am happy to say that I have never regretted the choice of care home. The staff are absolutely first-class. I am always met with a heartfelt reception when visiting from Europe and kept fully up to date on my father‘s condition. Any problems, medical or otherwise, are dealt with professionally and in a timely manner. Everybody, from the frontline staff to the admin team, are true professionals and I am extremely grateful for all they do to keep Dad comfortable. Highly recommended.

A care home that is more like a five-star hotel. I am so impressed with Charrington Manor Care Home, the surroundings are modern and clean with excellent facilities: hair/nail salon, cinema room, bar and bistro as well as a lovely garden area that are enjoyed by both the residents and visitors. Varied daily activities are well executed to stimulate and encourage residents to participate and enjoy. The care is absolutely fantastic where nothing is too much effort, all the staff and homemakers are attentive, patient, caring and compassionate, who really care for my mum, providing a safe and comfortable environment for her to live in which she was unable to do in her own home. The food is excellent: balanced and nutritious (the chef even made a lovely birthday cake for my mum on her birthday) I am delighted that she is so settled and happy and has made many new friends. All aspects of Mum's physical and mental well-being are taken care of. How great to have found such an excellent home.

Today I have much enjoyed the Coronation lunch along with many other residents. All the staff have worked extremely hard to make it a great success. I have been a resident for five or six months and the standard of meals has gradually improved during that time. Hence today's excellent food.

The care and support of the staff clearly showed itself. Looking after everyone's needs. There was a sense of fun throughout.

All seems well. Mum has been kept safe with the constant vigilance of Charrington Manor Care Home homemakers which was the main requirement for our mother. Food is wonderful - plenty of it too!
