As Power of Attorney of a resident of Charrington Manor Care Home for over two and a half years, I can honestly say the care has been excellent. Her needs have always been met and my expectations exceeded. The facilities are excellent, rooms and social areas always clean, activities varied and the food
is very much to her liking! I have found the staff to be friendly and approachable, from those on reception, to the care team, facilities manager, nursing staff and management. I would highly recommend Charrington Manor to anyone looking for a caring, safe and pleasant care home for their loved one.

Charrington Manor Care Home is exceptional in every way. From the initial show round to now, the staff have been amazing. So friendly, welcoming and helpful, my aunt settled in almost immediately. She has been a resident for almost 2 years now and we couldn't be happier with our choice.
It has a lovely
homely feel and nothing is too much trouble.
My aunt enjoys the varied daily activities and trips out.
Her appetite is much better now with tasty food and snacks.
The gardens are beautifully kept and offer relaxation outside where possible.
We are very grateful to the team that we can relax knowing that our family member is so well looked after.

The care that all staff have shown towards my father is exceptional. He recently had an overnight stay in hospital and on his return the manager, assistant manager and several staff all came out to welcome him back and they had laid on tea and cakes. It felt like they really cared that one of their

We have been so lucky to have found Charrington Manor for my father in law. He has had such amazing care from all the staff since he arrived in April 2023. He is always greeted by name by all staff and treated with absolute respect and dignity.
The opportunities offered for entertainment and trips
out are superb and so inclusive. The care he received after a recent medical emergency was fantastic, reflecting how much they really do care about every resident.
I cannot recommend Charrington Manor highly enough. I feel so blessed that my father in law is cared for by an amazing team. Thank you.

I was very fortunate to come across Charrington Manor several weeks a go having had to source somewhere for my stepfather, who needs full time nursing care very quickly.
I was blown away with the whole experience from the initial tour to the actual process of getting him moved in.
The attention to
detail and compassionate approach is beyond refreshing and so helpful with such a stressful time.
I was so impressed, I moved my mother in yesterday, a week later and she is thrilled with her new home.

After my father passed away last year, my mother fell into poor health suffering with a number of difficulties, that suggested she might never be able to fully look after herself again. The family had visited Charrington Manor previously and we recognised the home had great potential should we need
their services in future. However the difference between potential and what the home has provided and delivered has far outweighed all expectations. Not only is the home aesthetically a beautiful building, with luxury appeal consistent with 5 star hotel, the ambience of the the home is so very positive - a happy place for residents and staff filled with laughter and smiles with people living their lives to the full and definitely not living out their lives.
Staff are passionate, professional and dedicated in everything they do, providing level of care that I was totally not expecting, which means so much to our family, where we just want our mum to be happy and safe.

Both my parents became residents at Charrington Manor Care Home in January 2023 after my mother had a severe stroke and my father was suffering from mild dementia.
The care standards have been exceptional. The care home is extremely well led with consistency of staff teams (no agency use), which are
motivated, compassionate with the residents and provide timely and proactive feedback to family members. My brother and I felt that we had chosen a very safe environment that offered a diverse choice of activities which encouraged residents to remain active, physically and mentally. Whenever we have had any queries, the team has been very responsive and caring. When my mother sadly passed away in July 2024, the entire staff team showed amazing support to my father and compassion to the rest of our family. They have proved a vital life line for my father and gently encouraged him to become more widely involved in other activities. This has been truly stimulating for him and greatly valued.

Charrington Manor has looked after both of my parents and given them an outstanding level of care. They had very different needs with my mother being severely disabled and my father active and alert but losing his memory. Mum moved into Charrington Manor in August following a spell in hospital. The care she has received since then has been second to none. Nothing is too much trouble. But more than that, it is clear that the staff genuinely care about the residents and are motivated to go the extra mile. The medical care
has been brilliant, and the staff are always prepared to spend time in letting me know how mum is getting on. The homemakers are equally brilliant and my mum can't speak highly enough of them. The facilities are fantastic and there are so many different activities for mum to participate in.

My mum lived at Charringon Manor Care Home for over two years until she sadly passed away. Throughout the whole time, the staff at Charrington have been excellent. They are caring and respectful and go the extra mile. I was fortunate enough to visit my mum daily since she moved to Charrington and I
was always made to feel very welcome by the staff and I got to know a lot of the residents and other regular visitors. As well as missing my dear mum, I will miss visiting Charrington.

Charrington Manor Care Home cared for my mother for about a year.
Their care was the best, right up until my mother sadly passed in June 2024.
She was loved by all the home makers, and despite the harrowing trauma of dementia, they gave her the best care, and supported us through it all.
They will
always be people I respect for their commitment to providing a caring service and creating a warm environment for the residents.

Charrington Manor Care Home is a fantastic care home.
It is the staff that make a massive difference.
The staff are all friendly, helpful, dedicated and highly responsive. The management have built a strong, experienced team that work really well together to the benefit of the residents.
My mother
has been a resident since May 2023. She enjoys the company of her fellow residents, meal times are never missed, the daily entertainment, which is high quality. She loves the staff who make sure she is happy.
Unfortunately over the last 3 months, her cancer in the bowel has returned which has impacted her badly.
The staff have been magnificent in the dedication to and personal care of my mother. They have communicated well with me and my sisters and have been highly responsive to her needs and condition.
They have involved the doctor as required and balanced the medical needs with a pragmatic, realistic nursing approach.

My mother moved from a care home in Devon to Charrington Manor Care Home in late May. She is living with advanced dementia, so it was a big upheaval for her. It has taken her a while to settle but straight-away she was very happy with her room, and the high standard of the living space.
The care model
is based around a homemaker who is the main resident contact in each community. The staff do not wear uniforms. This contrasts with many other homes that have different coloured uniforms for different staff roles. It feels more like a family community than a healthcare setting.
While it has taken Mum a few months to settle, the team have been immensely kind and patient with her. She is always treated with respect and dignity. The dining room is spacious and immaculately presented. There are endless activities available and many opportunities for supervised outings.
Charrington Manor has a wonderful management team and strong leadership. It is evident that they are aiming to be the best.

My mother moved into the Charrington Manor over a year ago. I visit her most days so I can see how caring the staff are towards the residents. There are plenty of activities available and something for anyone from light exercise classes like Tai Chi and yoga which my mum particularly loves to the opera
singer and or entertainers that come in regularly. All the staff at the Charrington are helpful and friendly - everyone smiles and it makes all the difference to the residents and visitors!

My Mum moved to Charrington Manor just over 2 months ago; from day one the care she has received has been excellent. The homemakers made sure that she got to know other residents and joined in the numerous organised activities. She enjoys the food, which is both plentiful and of a high standard. Any
request has been acted on immediately and the staff are so kind and caring towards her. When she has needed some medical assistance this has been provided very quickly and the staff have kept the family informed of any developments. My Mum has also enjoyed trips out to the coast, local garden centres, Wisley Gardens, and even a winery. I would highly recommend Charrington Manor.

Next month, my mother will have been a resident at Charrington Manor for two years (she is now 92). As a ground-floor resident, she has as much independence as she likes but, from my point of view, always seems to have a really caring, supportive and encouraging team around her. From the moment (as
a visitor) I enter the wonderful reception area, I feel part of a very special environment. The staff are friendly, encouraging and fun, the activities on offer include anything from daily films and tap dancing to excursions to the seaside/Wisley/vineyards/garden centres and everyone (staff, residents and family) smiles! This is a hugely caring environment which personalises care and makes every single resident feel a vital part of this wonderful home. Most of the staff we first met two years ago are still there, and I am always kept informed of anything (however small) I should be aware of in my mother's care. I couldn't ask for better communication or support!

My mother aged 91 has dementia and moved into Charrington Manor in January 2023. My father aged 95 has Parkinson's and also now is in the care home. He moved in February 2024. I have nothing but praise for Charrington Manor and would thoroughly recommend.

Job Title: Registered Care Home Manager

A registered general nurse, Simona Varga-Pali brings more than 16 years of experience from both acute and social care settings to her role at Charrington Manor Care Home in West Byfleet. Formerly working as Clinical Lead at the Journalist Charity nursing home and Gracewell Healthcare before joining Hamberley, Simona’s career achievements include leading a care home to an Outstanding CQC rating. Simona has also achieved the Champion of Quality award by Sunrise Senior Living in 2018. Outside of her working life, Simona is passionate about charity work.
