Hi, I am Shilpa, the home manager at the luxury care home, Lacehill Manor in Buckingham. Welcome to our website!
I began my nursing career in 2008 and have worked in the coronary care unit for more than 10 years before starting my journey as an overseas nurse. I completed my master's in nursing before moving to the UK and have been working with a care home since 2018 as Deputy manager, progressing to registered home manager. I strongly believe in a holistic care approach working alongside residents, families and friends as well as the community support team and healthcare professionals in providing the best quality care to our residents.
We, as a team here, focus on providing person-centred care for all our residents, and I am committed not only to maintaining the highest standard of care but also to ensuring residents are living fulfilling lives. I am looking forward to making a strong relationship with the residents, families and the staff. For anyone considering care for themselves or for a loved one, our doors are open for you to visit and meet the team.
Callum is the Deputy Home Manager at Lace Hill Manor, and takes control of the day-to-day staff rotas and care team.
He has worked in social care since he was 16 years old, starting with weekend shifts whilst he was still in education, and then becoming full-time. He describes caring for the people who live with us as his dream job, as he makes a difference to people's lives every day. He has developed his career over the years with numerous courses and qualifications, leading to his current Deputy role.
Callum can't imagine himself anywhere else but Lace Hill Manor, caring for the residents, families and the team.
Tracey is the Business Administrator at Lace Hill Manor and is responsible for the Administration team, including Reception.
She has been working in the care sector for the last 8 years, and before that was in retail - although she wishes she made the move into social care sooner. The best part of her day is interacting with the people who live with their families, who are welcomed into our home like old friends.
Outside of work, Tracey has 5 sons and 10 grandchildren to look after, as well as her 70kg dog called Hagrid, who she describes as her 'fur baby'.
Carrie is a member of the Lifestyle team at Lace Hill Manor, spending her day creating activities for the people that live with us to enjoy.
She started at Lace Hill Manor in 2022 as a Care Assistant and transitioned into the Lifestyle team when her passion for engaging people to have fun every day was noticed. She loves her job and is proud of the feedback she gets from the residents and the team.
Charlotte is a member of the Housekeeping team at Lace Hill Manor, and is a lovely, smiley face around the home.
She was an assistant in a Nursery for 15 years before moving into the social care sector, and is glad she made the move to social care as she enjoys being part of a large team.
Charlotte is deaf and lip-reads as the main part of her communication. She also carries a small whiteboard with her, in case anyone who lives with us needs something written down. She says she felt welcomed as part of the team straightaway, and is always included and respected as a member of the wider team.
Outside of work, Charlotte enjoys walking her dog, reading and watching films.
