I feel that mm is safe and really well looked after. There are plenty of activities to keep her busy + to help her brain development as she has dementia.
Mum always presents well and the staff are attentive. The staff are friendly and caring. The food is excellent and time is taken to allow mum to
eat without being rushed.

I have been incredibly impressed by the care my husband has received since coming to Lace Hill Manor. We're seeing a return of his old character- he is no longer withdrawn and disinterested. He's becoming more confident and joins in with several of the activities. This is great as he thrives on being
involved and chatting to people. It's really good to see my husband as he used to be. The care is very thoughtful, encouraging, caring, cleanliness is excellent good food too. Thank you!

This care home really looks after its residents!
All the staff are friendly and appear happy in their work.
The residents have an entertainment team who are there 7 days a week to provide activities which are supported well by the residents.
There are plenty of lounge areas to sit and guests are
made to feel very welcome.
The home really treats its residents well and a lot better than many care homes.

I sincerely could not be happier with the care provided. My mum is treated with exceptional tenderness, attentiveness and respect. The range of activities provides brilliant stimulation, socialisation, laughter and joy. All in all - more (far more) than I could ever have hoped for at this stage of her
life.

My aunt was cared for at Lace Hill Manor for over a year. The care she received was exceptional. The staff are kind, thoughtful and caring and made sure all of her needs were met and more and that she was comfortable and content. Choosing a care home was a very big decision for us as a family but we
definitely made the right decision with Lace Hill and I would recommend it 100%. A huge thank you to the team for all of their care and compassion. It is genuinely appreciated. We as a family were always assured she was receiving high quality, compassionate care in a beautiful environment.

Wonderful caring staff who are kind to my mum. Cooperative when I need a wheelchair to take mum out. Lovely atmosphere upstairs.
- no weekend receptionist is a big problem - residents tried to reach the button to let herself out today.
- cutlery very dirty/filthy/ unsanitary. Yuck. that has been
for a long time.
- unreliable coffee machine, never any cups/ sugar/ spoons available.
Reply from Shilpa Nair, Home Manager at Lace Hill ManorWe are sorry that you/ your loved one did not receive the highest standard of care. The wellbeing of those living with us is of utmost importance, and we are taking your feedback very seriously.

We are currently investigating the concerns that you have raised. We can also assure that there is a weekend receptionist, and we are hoping that these situations will not arise in the future where you would have to struggle.

The care here has been excellent and give myself and my sister so much peace of mind that out auntie is being so well looked after. Everyone is so welcoming and friendly as well as being completely professional. Everyone went out of their way for our auntie on her 97th birthday, and we borrowed a room
to have a lovely family party for her with all the family coming in to join her.

Lace Hill, regarding care and quality is good and excellent over all areas. However, management regarding emails sent to accounts are poor, as they do not respond.
One area the home could improve is the provision of foot stools by the chairs. Also, the toilet by the lounges has been out of order for
a long time.

I love the layout of the care home, it's spacious and light, lots of room for mum to walk about. When I come to visit, I love that I can easily see Mum has been well cared for. Her clothes have been chosen so she looks nice. The laundry does an excellent job, as mum regularly spills coffee down her
top, but they always get the stains out. When mum is on form, there is always something going on. But on the days she isn't she is allowed to sleep with dignity.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the staff on the dementia ward. Especially two members of staff in particular. They work so hard, all staff do.
These two members of staff always make me feel welcome and feel like apart of a family when I come to see my beloved friend.
Lace Hill are very
lucky to have them as staff.
All the staff at Lace Hill are as lovely as each other.
If I ever need to be in a care home, I would pick Lace Hill, and if I ever know someone who needs to be cared for, I'd 100% choose Lace Hill Manor.

Current Review Score: 9.8 (9.821)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.8 (9.821) out of 10 for Lace Hill Manor is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 25 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.821 for Lace Hill Manor is calculated as follows: ( (257 Excellents x 5) + (27 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) + (2 Poors x 2) ) ÷ 296 Ratings = 4.821
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Lace Hill Manor is based on 25 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 62 registered maximum number of service users is 12.4, which has been reached with 25 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
