Shoemaker Place is a new, luxury, modern care home in Staffordshire. The home was created to support up to 66 residents to enjoy luxury living while receiving the highest quality of care and support.

Located in the historic market town of Stone, the home is close to local amenities and has direct transport links into nearby Stoke-on-Trent.

The home features 66 single bedrooms, including 12 bed wings and 10 large, studio-style rooms. All of the rooms at Shoemaker Place are spacious and comfortable, feature high-quality furnishings and décor, and include full wet room facilities for every resident. There are also separate WCs, assisted bathrooms and other ancillary facilities available throughout the home.

Residents can relax and socialise in a selection of communal facilities, including a choice of dining rooms and living rooms, a cinema, a café, a garden room and a beauty salon. The layout is designed to be particularly helpful to people living with dementia and an array of other needs.

Dedicated Activity and Lifestyle Facilitators (ALFs) ensure that there are always plenty of fun activities happening. Whether residents want to get involved in exciting activities and days out, have a coffee and a catch up with visitors, a personal pamper session or a stroll around the beautifully landscaped gardens, each resident can live their life to the fullest at Shoemaker Place.

The building is excellent. The staff are so kind and helpful. The teatime trolly looked like a top-end London hotel!
On my first visit to Shoemaker Place, I was most impressed by seeing the residents looking so happy and cheerful.

This is truly an amazing place! The whole environment from the cosy rooms, cleanliness, fabulous facilities, wonderful activities, delicious food and, above all, compassionate, caring staff make it somewhere I feel happy knowing my mum is truly looked after. Mum has dementia and was initially upset
but from day one, the staff have listened to her needs, been loving and caring and helped her settle into what feels like a big happy family. She is totally in her element, happy and relaxed when she is singing along to one of the many varied, organised events!
Thank you to each and every one of you ... you make Shoemaker Place a happy home.

My dear friend, like a mum to me was one of the first residents. Care and dignity are provided so highly by all staff in all roles. The atmosphere is calm and the surroundings, and furnishings are beautiful. Visitors are always welcomed in a friendly way. The food and snacks are delicious and visitors
are invited to share meals if needed. Activities are varied and the local community visits, schools and entertainers, are so nice. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend any friends or family members. Certainly promising to become one of the best care homes in this local area.

I can't thank the staff at Shoemaker Place Care Home enough for the lengths they went to to accommodate our requirements at very short notice in extremely difficult circumstances. My mother, who suffers from Alzheimer's, lives alone with her dog and was recovering from a broken hip, suffered a fire
at her bungalow that ended up rendering it uninhabitable for more than four months. I live around 140 miles away, the "can do" attitude and flexible approach displayed in agreeing to accommodate Mum and her dog with levels of care/oversight, tailored and adapted to mere ever-changing circumstances, was invaluable in providing peace of mind in extremely traumatic circumstances. Mum is a private person but in the latter part of her stay, she had started to socialise/get involved in activities and in the end, was sorry to leave, a testament to the heroic efforts of the staff. Highly recommended!

The staff can't do enough for her, and for me when I visit, they are always willing to make me welcome with a nice smile and the offer of a cup of tea. Nothing is too much trouble. My mother has been a resident at Shoemaker Place for two months. The staff are excellent and cannot do enough for you, whilst remaining professional at all times. The activities ate providing Mum with the stimulation she needs, and she is enjoying the company. The environment is homely and comfortable.
She is now safe and happy, having settled in well (most of the time). Thank you to everyone involved with her care.

I can not begin to say enough thank you to every single person that works at Shoemakers Place, such kindness and care has been given to my lovely mum from the day she started for her little holiday and now a full-time resident. The manager and all her team are always there to help and support with anything
that's needed for my mum, along with all the lovely carers. All have played a wonderful part in bringing my mum back to socialising and interacting with others around her, eating the most amazing food, joining in activities and causing lots of naughty laughter! Can’t thank you all enough.

The building was immaculate, clean and fresh. The staff, on every level, were polite and friendly and went out of their way to make my aunt, who was there for respite care, feel as much at home as possible. Well what can I say, Shoemaker Place is a truly warm, friendly, welcoming, organised and above all professional, responsive, compassionate and high-quality care provision. The home from home and nostalgic environment makes both residents and their families feel this is the best place for themselves
and their loved ones. Each staff member is happy, so a happy team makes happy residents. The home is spotlessly clean, aesthetically pleasing, cosy and light. The choice of healthy home-cooked menu is varied, tasty and attractive. There is a real bespoke service to residents to ensure their individual needs are met. I feel so reassured not only for my in-laws themselves but also to my spouse who just does not worry or has to mitigate additional needs as the leadership team are so responsive. I just love the variety of creative activities and professionalism: always working in partnership with residents' family members. A huge thanks to you all at Shoemakers!

What an amazing place! Staff have been wonderful with both my parents, and their care, their approach, and professionalism have been second to none. My mother doesn't usually settle well in new environments, and at her previous care home, she took months to even start to engage with staff and join in
or simply come out of her room. Whereas here, at Shoemakers Place, she settled within the first three days; she agreed to go on a day trip within the first couple of weeks of being a resident. The change in her is unreal, she eats all of the small portions given to her, and she even eats the afternoon cakes and every dessert offered, which she never used to do previously. My father has also commented on the food and service he receives, stating the food is outstanding, high-end restaurant quality, and I too can second that as I have sat with my parents and eaten a delicious meal with them.
Thank you to all staff. I am so happy and relieved I found you to take care of my adorable folks!

Wow! It took a long time to look at care/nursing homes, and then I found Shoemaker! What a find! My mum was recovering from a double hip replacement and had spent two months in hospital before I knew she needed 24-hour care that I couldn't give! From her arrival, she was made to feel so welcome and
has continued to settle in and adores all the staff who have been looking after her! I can't thank them all enough - she has settled far better than I thought she would, and for the first time in many months, has started to eat properly! She is happier and healthier than I've seen her for a long time, and I just want to say thank you to everyone at Shoemaker Place for making my Mum happy and of course, me!

Team park at its best! From the manager and deputy manager to senior carers, chefs and activities coordinator, they all pull together and go the extra mile to ensure caring with compassion and professionalism is foremost. My parents celebrated their 71st wedding anniversary in Shoemaker, and it was
absolutely wonderful (with) my father, at the grand young age of 94, even gave a speech of thanks... there wasn't a dry eye in the lounge! Just superb - thank you all at Shoemaker.

Moving to Shoemaker has been the best move for my dad. From the day he moved in, he was made so welcome, which helped him to settle in - a lot sooner than expected. All the staff at every level are professional, caring, supportive, and so easy to talk to and will always make time for a chat when I visit.
I now know that my dad is being well cared for in a setting that is like no other care home I have ever visited.

Mum has settled quickly at Shoemaker Place. The care staff are amazing and have made Mum feel very loved and part of their family. The home is outstanding, and the facilities are second to none. It is state of the art, clean, luxurious and homely. Mum is enjoying the food and the company. Nothing is
too much trouble for the staff, and Mum looks relaxed and happy whenever I see her. Mum has dementia but feels reassured, safe and happy there. It’s wonderful to see her look so well and settled in so quickly. Thanks to the manager and the great team for being so welcoming, thoughtful and caring during what is a very stressful time for our family.
