The Poets Nursing Home

My Dad passed away recently and whilst going through his phone I found a selfie of him smiling happily in the Bistro with one of the carers. I shall treasure this. Thank you.

It's a fantastic nursing home. Practically brand new, very comfortable, well equipped, spotlessly clean and staffed by a great team who really do their best to make their residents' time with them as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. My father was dreading going into care and is actually very happy with his life at The Poets. It's a great relief knowing that he is being so well cared for by the great team The Poets has.

I was given a personal recommendation to the Poets and I can't thank my friend enough. My mum receives what I believe is the best possible care in the most amazing environment. The Manageress is top notch and this flows down from her to all her staff. Wonderful, thank you The Poets.

My mum has been in The Poets since May 2023. The care and kindness that my mum receives is excellent. All the staff know my mum as an individual and always strive to meet her needs.

All in all very good. Always met with good humour. We appreciate all the good care.

The home is beautiful and very well-led. The care and nursing staff are always very willing. The management is fantastic. The domestic staff are also brilliant. The home is very clean. Would recommend this home to anybody.

I came to visit a friend here, the home was lovely and clean. All the staff were very welcoming and friendly, the manager had popped in to see my friend and introduced herself to me, my friend is very happy here.

The Poets is a stunning care home with great amenities and facilities. The staff are always friendly, approachable and engaging. The team are well led and the nursing team are fantastic, making each visit enjoyable and putting us at ease knowing that my friend is looked after.

This home is extremely well managed and run.

We looked at many nursing homes before choosing The Poets for my mum in November 2022. The rooms are large and well-equipped and the building and gardens are beautiful. There are lots of communal spaces where residents are assisted in joining the friends they make for coffee in the Bistro, lunch in the dining room and fun and creative pursuits in the activities room. The nursing and care team are attentive and respectful, the activities team is enthusiastic and makes participating lots of fun for the residents and no question or concern is too much trouble for the reception, admin and management team. As a family, we have always been welcomed and treated with kindness which has been much appreciated following the frustrating time we experienced when Mum was in the hospital. We are kept well informed of Mum's health, food and activities each day via the app. Mum is very happy and able to make her own daily choices and the staff are very friendly and welcoming to us as a family.

My dad is more than happy here and I feel we have chosen a fabulous home for Dad.

This is the most beautiful nursing home that you will ever see. The staff are outstanding and cannot do enough for you and take the most amazing care of your loved ones. My mother-in-law is currently here for end-of-life care and she couldn't be in a better place - thank you.

My mother is a resident here and I cannot praise the staff enough - caring, professional, experienced and the home itself is quite simply magnificent - beautifully decorated with attention to detail on every level. A place of peace and sanctuary. We as a family thoroughly recommend The Poets wholeheartedly. Thank you all so much.

When you are trying to do the very best for an elderly relative, where do you start in finding the right nursing home? Please let me share our experience at The Poets. Mum was admitted at very short notice, she couldn't believe how fresh and modern the whole building looked. From day one, the staff helped her settle in and always respected her dignity in a kind and gentle way. This week, Mum passed away. Through the excellent care and dedication of The Poets team, Mum was able to sleep away, peacefully in her room with her son by her side. A huge thank you to all The Poets team on duty that day, for caring for Mum and us too. At The Poets, the manager was always ready and willing to listen if ever we had things to discuss and indeed, implemented our requests wherever she could. We feel, in our sad time of loss, our friendship with The Poets team will live on.

The Poets is a new build care home that will impress immediately from the approach from the road. Once inside the building it exudes quality and care. The facilities are second to none and go beyond our experience with other homes. My mother-in-law has an incredibly large room with dedicated wet room although from what we have seen all rooms are oversized. Our need for palliative care at a time when the local hospice was sadly unable to meet the timelines has been met and exceeded.

My husband and I have spent a month in the care home and we have nothing but praise for the care and kindness we have received. The staff are very good at what they do and are always willing to help you in any way they can, I would say I have really enjoyed staying here and would tell all my friends it's the home to come to if you needed to be looked after.

I would recommend this home to everyone.
