The Mayfield Care Home is providing an extraordinarily high standard of accommodation and personal care for anyone who simply wishes to enjoy long-term personal care or simply respite!
I have found it offers a unique feeling of luxury, usually associated with high-end hotel standards, not just from
the delicious food, mid-morning and afternoon treats but from the exceptionally caring staff and social activities to suit all abilities, needs to be seen to be believed.

Very welcoming and helpful staff encouraging my friend, who has given up and just wants to die, to get up for meals and mix a bit. Unlike her usual considerate attitude, she has become very demanding, constantly ringing her bell and everyone is being very patient with her. I don't know how they manage!

Having previously had family members living in care homes - I must say that The Mayfield Care Home is the most comfortable, spacious and accommodating care home that I have been in. The rooms, facilities and furnishings are excellent in providing comfort and care for the residents. The staff I have
met are all very caring and attentive - from the care team to the admin staff.
The forefront of a good care home is the level of care that each resident receives and I see this taking place at Mayfield. My friend that I visit has settled in and is very comfortable here. As a visitor, I am also made very welcome.

My mother-in-law moved into The Mayfield Care Home in the middle of April and we are delighted to say that she has settled in well. This is down to the friendly and caring ethos of The Mayfield. From the owner, the management team, the admin team, the carers, the catering team and the housekeeping team,
everyone that we meet are all welcoming and pleasant.
When visiting we are made to feel very welcome, with refreshments always being offered by a friendly member of staff. Already we have been to two events, a celebration buffet for the crowning of King Charles and last night a delicious Chinese evening. It was super to be able to meet the families and friends of the other residents, a very relaxed and friendly evening.
The Mayfield has been completed to a high standard, with all areas well thought out. My mother-in-law loves the fact that she has a garden room, where she is able to have bird feeders and a bench to sit on.
The needs of the residents are at the heart of The Mayfield.

Thank you so much for welcoming my mum into her new home.
Mum was rather reluctant to move into a “home”, and was unsure about leaving her family home.
It was a huge change for her but it’s definitely the best decision we’ve all made and mum is settling in so well.
The Mayfield Care Home has been
purpose built and decorated to high standards, every member of staff have been amazing, nothing is ever too much trouble.
Even when we visit we are welcomed with a coffee and homemade cake.

My mother has now been in The Mayfield for four weeks, she immediately settled in and felt at home.
She has a lovely room and is very happy with the care and attention given by the excellent staff.

The Mayfield Care Home is a warm and welcoming home. The staff are so friendly and accommodating. The environment is stunning and matches 5* hotels without question. I am so glad that my nana has settled in so well. I know she will be well taken care of.

Tobyn Dickinson

After a successful 15-year career in investment management, Tobyn moved into care in 2020 to pursue his passion for improving the lives of the elderly. This involved co-founding Elmfield Care, a luxury care home provider that commissioned two homes in Wiltshire. In 2022, he started Cromwell Care, another luxury care home provider that opened The Mayfield Care Home in Whitby in March 2023. Tobyn is passionate about building a talented, caring team that is aligned with The Mayfield’s values and focused on providing the very best care and hospitality to our residents.

Natalie

Natalie Gill

Natalie began her journey in care at age 18, nearly 14 years ago and has experience in lots of areas including residential and dementia care. During that time Natalie has gained a broad range of skills and qualifications.

Richard is Head Chef at The Mayfield. He has a huge amount of experience in all types of cooking and has worked at numerous restaurants in and around Whitby. Richard oversees our kitchen team and is key to the amazing dining experience enjoyed by our residents!

Graham oversees maintenance at The Mayfield which involves a wide range of activities! He worked in engineering his whole career and enjoys running, motocross, spending time with his family and looking after his young grandchildren!
