Beautiful new care home, looking and feeling more like a high-end hotel. Excellent care is given, as usual. Simply a lovely place for Mum to live. Many thanks.

One of the first things that strikes you at Wharfeside is it is calm and peaceful. The staff are always patient and treat residents and visitors with respect. Wharfeside is spotlessly clean and residents are treated with dignity and their individual needs are catered for.

Mum has advanced dementia. She lived in a previous home for 10 years prior to its closure and the move to Wharfeside. She is settling well into a well-appointed room with views over the river, supported by staff who know her and continue to care for her with the high level of dignity and respect our family has always appreciated and been comforted by. The facilities and accommodation in Wharfeside are absolutely lovely, and alongside the homely feel and caring staff, we could not wish for better for Mum.

My mother has been a resident for almost three years and I have been very satisfied with the level of care she has had. She is treated in a friendly way by all staff who work extremely hard in often difficult circumstances to keep all residents happy. The transition to the new premises was well-organised and relatively stress-free for all concerned (perhaps not staff!) and I am hoping that after a period of settling in, a new period of even better care and support can begin. Good luck to everyone in your wonderful new home!

Mum moved from the old building to Wharfeside on Tuesday. The move was well-planned and orchestrated. The new facility is excellent in every respect - it looks and feels like a five-star hotel - certainly a homely environment for the residents. Mum has had no trouble adjusting and loves her new, bright, airy room with a lovely view. The staff are brilliant and caring, and we have peace knowing that our mum is safe and well cared for.
