i would like to testify to the quality of Statham Manor Care Home. The care our mum received was exceptional, nothing was to much trouble for the staff, both for mum and indeed her friends and us her family. She felt very loved and on the day she left us the staff could not of helped and guided us better.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts love always

I absolutely loved Statham Manor when I transferred my 96 year old mother there. The care is marvelous. Mummy however needed higher care than they were able to give her due to her deteriorating dementia. I have no problem with that as I understand. HOWEVER, I live in South Africa and they promised to give me updates and keep me informed. They promised that I could send emails for them to read to her on a regular basis. All the time she was there (which was +/- a month and a half) I NEVER got any update or reply to ANY of my emails of which i have records). I learnt from her LPOA that she had been moved!!!!!! I think that is disgusting on behalf of the admin staff.

My dad has lived here for almost three years and has received excellent care throughout. He feels safe and respected and loved by all the staff here in every department. He was very poorly last year after being in hospital with pneumonia but the wonderful care he received at Statham Manor has given him back his spark and his joy in life. I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

From the moment you walk through the door the staff are most welcoming and helpful. There is a genuine interest not only in the resident but also family and friends who visit. Everyone is treated with respect and understanding and every effort is made by care staff to maintain a resident's dignity and meet their wishes as well as their needs. The friendly and happy atmosphere is ingrained and many great relationships are formed with the staff at all levels. We couldn't have wished for a better place for dad to receive respite care. A huge thank you to the lovely receptionists, the nurses, carers, physios, OT and chefs and everyone else "behind the scenes" contributing to an exceptional level of care.

My dad transferred to Statham Manor following 3 weeks in hospital. He had been very poorly and required additional care, rehab and physio to enable him to be well enough to return home. The care provided at Statham Manor has been exceptional 5* and we couldn't thank all of the staff and carers for looking after my dad brilliantly.

You only get one chance to make a good first impression and at Statham Manor the front of house receptionist understands this concept very well. Highly professional but at the same time instantly building a close and harmonious relationship with visiting relatives. She goes the extra mile for everyone who walks in or walks out. I was a hotel manager for 20 years so I know when someone is exceptional at front of house reception based on my own experience.

This was a really lovely care home. The rooms are very nice and all the staff very attentive. The food is really good and the staff did their best to help my mum find something she liked when she lost her appetite. My only criticism is that the chairs in the bedrooms aren't suitable for the elderly, the price increased significantly (over £100 a week) while my mum was a resident, and for the cost, I wouldn't have expected the family to have to buy a chair for her to sit in.

My husband came to Statham Manor for respite care for 2 weeks after a week in general hospital where he was treated for UTI. As always the hospital care was excellent as is the care at Statham Manor. The staff are kind and caring. The food and service is excellent. It is reassuring that medical care is available if necessary and the district nurses can continue their visits under the supervision of the general practice.

The home is well-appointed, comfortable and very clean.
Staff are helpful and friendly. However, there seems to be a high turnover at present.

Management could improve communication about key staffing changes as this is important to us to know who is looking after our loved one.

I (and my family) cannot speak highly enough of Statham Manor. From a friendly, warm welcome in, to a beautiful and clean home, to the responsive and safe care delivered by a wonderful and genuinely caring team. It is quite easy to see that this home is well-led. All staff introduced themselves, they explained their roles and knew who to approach if they could not answer my questions. My mother could not have been better looked after. Superb care - thank you!

I can highly recommend Statham Manor Care Home. All the staff were friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble. The nursing staff kept accurate, detailed records of drug administration and ensured that tablets were given within safe time periods.
There was always a very wide choice of food at meal times and lovely tasty meals.

I have been a qualified nurse for over 17 years, and that includes 14 years of experience working in the healthcare industry, working with general nursing, Dementia care and young physically disabled and acquired brain injuries. I have had the opportunity to work in a regional role where I covered homes in Wales, Scotland, and England. I am looking forward to being a part of a diverse, modern, and dynamic management team at New Care. I am also excited about building a new team that will deliver high-standard person-centred care in line with the regulators.

Nathan Job Title:Wellbeing Coordinator

Hi, I’m Nathan, the Wellbeing Coordinator here at Statham Manor Care Home. I’m passionate about creating a warm, engaging, and uplifting environment for all our residents. My role involves organising a wide variety of activities, events, and experiences that support both physical and emotional well-being.

Lee
Lee Job Title:Head Chef

From the buzz of busy restaurant kitchens to the heart-warming hum of a care home, my culinary journey has been anything but ordinary. After years honing my craft in the hospitality world, I took on a new challenge during the pandemic - stepping in as acting head chef at a care home in Cheadle. It didn’t take long before I was promoted to head chef, and I’ve never looked back.

When Statham opened its doors, I joined as second chef and quickly rose to head chef within a few months. I take pride in crafting delicious, comforting meals that bring joy to our residents. For me, food is about connection, so I always invite residents to share their favourite dishes and help shape our special menus. Their stories and tastes inspire me every day.

Beyond the kitchen, I swap my apron for a whistle as coach of an under-15s football team, where I channel my passion into mentoring young players. And when I’m not on the pitch or in the kitchen, you’ll find me enjoying quality time with my family and our cheeky cockapoo, Willow, who definitely thinks she’s the real boss of the house.

Chelsea
Chelsea Job Title:Head Housekeeper

With over three years of dedicated service at Statham Manor, I began my journey as a general housekeeper, quickly establishing a reputation for reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic. Recently promoted to Head Housekeeper, I now lead the housekeeping team, ensuring the home is consistently maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation. My commitment to excellence plays a vital role in creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for residents and visitors alike.

Katie
Katie Job Title:Home Administrator

I have been with Statham Manor for nearly 3 months, and part of my role is to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the administration within the home with efficiency and dedication. With over 6 years of administration experience, I have a passion for supporting both residents and staff and working with the rest of the team to create a welcoming and well-organised environment.

Outside of work, I enjoy going to the gym and spending quality time with my friends, family, and beloved dog, Elsie.

Roger
Roger Job Title:Maintenance Manager

Statham Manor is far more than just a workplace - it’s part of my personal story. I got married at the Lymm Hotel, which once stood on the very land where Statham Manor now thrives. Being here from day one has been a privilege, and I take immense pride in ensuring our home not only meets but exceeds the standards set by our regulators.

What truly inspires me is being part of a team that leads with kindness and empowers our residents to live with dignity, joy, and connection.

Outside of work, my passion for music takes centre stage. I play in a band with four close friends, and you’ll often find us lighting up local venues with live performances.
