My brother and I can't thank the staff enough. They put on a lovely tea party with entertainment for our parents - 70th wedding anniversary. Our parents were overwhelmed by the love and attention they received on their special day.

In general, the care and attention at Alston House Care Home is exceptional. Thank you to all the staff, including the chef.

My mum stayed for respite care for five weeks. She was looked after so well, and it was what she needed. The staff were wonderful, and the entertainment manager made sure she kept the residents busy with all the quizzes and games they played on a daily basis.

From the moment I left hospital to begin my respite care here in Alston House, I felt welcomed, relaxed and safe. The level of care I received made my recovery all the better. I would not hesitate in recommending Alston House to anyone requiring a high level of both nursing and physical care in a beautiful relaxing environment. Thank you, everyone.

The staff are very patient and caring and keep trying to do more with Mum to see that she gets the benefit of the facilities here. Mum is always comfortable though she is in bed most of the time.

I would recommend this home very highly. Mum and my stepdad went into Alston House for respite care. At all times they were treated with respect and treated with exceptional care. Mum was very anxious on her arrival but within a short time, her confidence and mobility improved greatly which was lovely to see.
Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and you soon become part of the Alston House family from residents to their families.

This is a beautiful home with good food, lots of activities and great caring staff.

Overall Experience
Having observed the construction of Alston House throughout the building period and waited anxiously for the home to open, the quality of the establishment far exceeds my expectations. I have moved my wife from another well respected care home, with which we were very satisfied, purely because of the proximity to my own address.

The residents rooms and the communal facilities in Alston House are outstanding to say the least. The staff are friendly, helpful and caring. With no restrictions on visiting, I am able to visit my wife seven days a week, for four and a half hours or so each time. I am 'part of the family'.
