There is a great sense of wellbeing from living in a happy community, and you are guaranteed that at Jubilee House.
DEMENTIA
For those residents living with memory loss, the focus is on enabling them to continue living as well as they are able. It is often surprising to the families of residents with dementia how much of a difference living in an environment which is totally committed to them makes. With dedicated support and with their individuality championed, it is a weight off the mind of most families.
RESPITE CARE
For residents who are looked after at home or elsewhere, just like the home's carers, theirs will need a break at some point, to be able to continue to offer the best care they can. The same services permanent residents receive are available, but simply on a short-term basis. Jubilee House offers a two week minimum respite stay where you can sample the care and lifestyle that is available. Many residents also like to try respite care before committing to living at the home full time.

I stayed at Jubilee House for 4 weeks convalescent care following a major operation. from the moment I first made contact I found the team to be very helpful and flexible! despite the fact that I was below their usual minimum age of 65. The home itself is modern and thoughtfully constructed, so it is easy to walk to a lounge or dining room, even if, like me initially, you have limited mobility. The staff are all friendly and keen to help! I was surprised to find that even here, I had no contact with could greet me by name. The food is excellent and additional drinks and cake always available.

With work I visit many care homes and the vast majority are places I would not wish on anyone. Jubilee stands out with the quality of the the place and the quality of the staff. The staff are lovely and many go overboard in supporting my mother. She is very happy here and is not normally an easy person to please. This is an exceptional place because of the staff and they ensure that the residents are well looked after, and their needs are carefully considered. There is nowhere else I would wish my mother to be.

With a background that includes five years as a teacher, Kat has developed strong communication, leadership and organisational skills, which she now puts to good use supporting the team and the smooth running of the home. She also holds an NVQ Level 5 in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, alongside extensive experience in recruitment, HR administration and compliance.
For Katarzyna, the most rewarding part of her role is knowing that the work taking place behind the scenes makes a real difference to residents' lives. Oliver has been part of Jubilee House since the very beginning, joining the team when the home opened in March 2023.
With 25 years’ experience in the kitchen, Oliver brings a wealth of knowledge to Jubilee House. His career has taken him from pubs and high-end restaurants to working abroad and running his own business, and along the way he has twice been nominated for Chef of the Year.
For Oliver, however, food is about much more than what appears on the plate. One of the things he enjoys most about his role is looking after residents and their families and recognising the important part food plays in people’s lives.
Whether it is a favourite dish, a familiar flavour or a special meal shared with visiting family, Oliver particularly values the way food can bring people together and help create memorable occasions.
Away from the kitchen, Oliver is a keen cyclist and enjoys just about every form of cycling going – from road riding and touring to mountain biking.
