TYPES OF CARE

RESIDENTIAL
A lot of care home residents are perfectly able to live alone, but with extra help on hand for the day-to-day tasks, it frees up so much time to enjoy the company of others and to explore new pastimes and revisit existing interests. There is a great sense of wellbeing from living in a happy community, and you are guaranteed that at Jubilee House.

DEMENTIA
For those residents living with memory loss, the focus is on enabling them to continue living as well as they are able. It is often surprising to the families of residents with dementia how much of a difference living in an environment which is totally committed to them makes. With dedicated support and with their individuality championed, it is a weight off the mind of most families.

NURSING
Specialist, round-the-clock nursing care means that residents need not worry about moving out of the home should their needs change while living at the home. The dedicated nurses care for nursing residents night and day, and residents’ freedom of choice and independence is always supported and encouraged, regardless of changing medical needs.

RESPITE CARE
For residents who are looked after at home or elsewhere, just like the home's carers, theirs will need a break at some point, to be able to continue to offer the best care they can. The same services permanent residents receive are available, but simply on a short-term basis. Jubilee House offers a two week minimum respite stay where you can sample the care and lifestyle that is available. Many residents also like to try respite care before committing to living at the home full time.

We're so grateful for the professional, warm & heartfelt care that my Nan receives at Jubilee House! She's settled in really well, is much better (physically & mentally) than she's been in a long time, & as a family, we're always given such a warm welcome when visiting!

My mum went in for 2 weeks respite. From the initial call all the way through mums stay the care has been excellent. Every member of staff that I came into contact with was professional, kind and sincere. Special mention to the lady at reception who was very kind. I would not hesitate in recommending

I visit Jubilee House with my therapy dog to provide a pet therapy service, and also as a support worker to see one of their residents. I always look forward to my visits, I love it here!
This place is absolutely top class, you could easily mistake it for a hotel and not a care home! It is always immaculately
clean and tidy and always smells lovely.
The staff are all wonderful, and genuinely care about every single resident and their family, nothing is ever too much trouble. I am always made to feel so welcome, I'm offered meals, drinks, snacks whenever I visit and the staff always chat to me.
The atmosphere is lovely, everyone is happy and well looked after and I imagine it's just like living with a bunch of friends in one big house, I keep saying that I want to move in myself!
There is always something to do, a jam packed well thought out activity plan every week and something to suit everyone.
Genuinely 5 stars and I would recommend Jubilee House to anyone, every time.

A client of ours recently moved in to Jubilee House and I was part of the assessment and moving process. I cannot thank the staff and management team enough for making a scary process for her a lot easier. They have constantly put her at ease and made her feel comfortable. We visit on a weekly basis
and the kindness and care of the support staff continues and is extended to us too. They cannot do enough for us and always make us feel welcome. I know the lady is happy and settled there and it makes us feel better knowing that she is safe and well cared for. I would 100% reccommend this care home to anyone who asks and have done several times! Well done to the Jubilee House team!!

I have just been to visit a friend in Jubilee House and was amazed at the facilities on site. I felt very welcomed by all the staff I met and could see how my friend felt safe and comfortable with them. The communal areas are very comfortable and were full of people, enjoying the different things that
were on.
It completely changed my view of care homes - this is what good care looks like.

Mum came in initially for a 4 week stay while her house sale finalised. Right from initial contact, I've felt confident that everyone has mum's best interests at heart. She had lived on her own for a long time and was comfortable with her own company but she has rediscovered a part of herself that seemed
to have died along with her friends over the years, the positive effects of interaction with others.
The food is of a high standard and the variety is excellent. I've been made to feel welcome each time I visit and the fact I can drop in for coffee or book in for lunch with her is such a bonus.
Great place, great staff.

My husband was with you for a very short time but was cared for wonderfully. As were all of us, his family. He passed away peacefully with us all around him, and nothing was any trouble to every member of staff we met. It was a very peaceful setting and environment. Staff and management very caring

Overall, mum seems very happy at Jubilee House Care Home. If she's happy so am I. Mum is very well cared for. Staff are super helpful and kind. Activities and stimulation are superb and it's lovely to see mum joining in. I love the social media page so I can see mum even though I live 100 miles away.
One concern is a lack of 24 hour wrap around care at the weekend evenings. Mum and her friend called on their buzzer and no one came. This should never happen. It's what we pay for.

It is important to reassure you, there is always sufficient 24/7 care cover 365 days a year, weekends and evenings are no exception. From time to time there may an unexpected emergency (such as a fall) in the home where 2 or 3 staff members are required to see to one resident and this may result in the call bell response time being longer than is usual for the home. I am very sorry that your mother felt on this said occasion, she wasn't given the attention she required in the timely manner she is used to. We will continue to do our very best to meet expectations and deliver excellent care.

My mother was resident for 5 weeks respite care to give her time to recover following a fall. The facilities and environment were excellent. Staff were very friendly, respectful and kind. Activities are provided for residents to use as they wish and a varied array were on offer. My mother enjoyed the
variety and quality of the food and the option for a visitor to also have a meal in the bistro with their loved one was an added bonus. The bistro staff were also very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. She particularly liked the fact she could get her hair done weekly! The home provided a comforting environment to allow mum to recover and get stronger to then enable her to return home. The atmosphere and facilities were very well maintained and bright. Would definitely recommend this facility.

It can be a difficult task to support transition to full time care - especially as it may not necessarily be what the person expresses they want. They are full of fear and trepidation at losing their independence and their home and the home they are moving to has to be the right one. Jubilee House Care
Home have excelled at making the transition from the community to care in every way possible. The standard of care is second to none. The home is always clean and welcoming with a lovely atmosphere and friendly caring staff.
Residents always seem happy to be there and form great friendships which is lovely to see.

Came in for respite care after an operation. Impressed on the first day that all staff knew me and called me by my name. Very good care which was flexible enough to cover my needs. Having separate dining areas on each floor makes eating more intimate. Also appreciated the lunches provided for visiting
family and friends. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. The stay definitely helped my recovery.

I went for 2 week's respite care in Jubilee House Care Home to experience temporary/permanent living there. I am an elderly lady, unfortunately suffering with a terminal illness, and obviously thinking about my future care. I was welcomed by all the staff and management who all came to introduce themselves.
Whilst there, I wanted for nothing. The food was excellent and the staff so cheerful and helpful. There are activities available but no pressure to always join in. I left with the feeling that I will return as a resident at some time. I have no hesitation in recommending this very modern care home.

I spent valuable respite care at Jubilee House and found the experience comforting and comfortable. The caring staff were very attentive and professional with nothing being too much trouble day and night which was very reassuring. Although I wanted to go home I was genuinely sorry to leave the friendly
supportive environment. The many extras included, eg guests' meals with me, hairdresser and beautician were an added bonus. All in all, I would highly recommend Jubilee House.

My mother moved to Jubilee House from another care home six months ago and we have experienced nothing but perfect care since then. She is comfortable and happy and recently said unprompted: “You wouldn’t think this was an old folks home."

I arrived at Jubilee House Care Home on 24th January 2024 after having a total hip replacement. On arrival, I was greeted with warmth and kindness by the staff. Once settled in my room, refreshments were provided.
From that day and night, nothing was too much trouble for the staff. On arrival, my friends
and relatives received the same warmth from the staff.
I will be leaving Jubilee House on 13th February after three weeks of convalescence. I am now able to walk (with one crutch!) Rested and more than ready to start a new life. Would I recommend Jubilee House - absolutely!
Would I return to convalesce? *** - without a doubt! Thank you so much.

I came for two weeks of rehab after surgery. It was a very successful stay and definitely aided my recovery. All the staff were caring and helpful, and the food was excellent. Would recommend.
