From my experiences when visiting grandma the staff were very accommodating for us and caring, they understood we were there to see her as much as we could around our work schedules. Sometimes meaning we came in the evening time. Often offering us cups of tea. Allowed a large group of us in the room (family who don't see each other often) On the day she died they couldn't do enough for us and reassured us she was comfy to the end.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a 5* review. I am pleased you and the family had such a positive experience in difficult times

My grandma has been a resident here for a few months. Her mobility has been declining over the last year following a fall, and we've found it increasingly more difficult to care for her properly at home. After a stint at another care home, we were shocked at the standard of some homes in the area and were determined to find somewhere she could call home as well as provide her with the care she needs. Watermead is perfect for her. Good location so we can visit easily, the bedrooms are stunning and the staff are all fantastic. She's very happy there.
Thank you so much for your lovely review of Watermead Rose care home and I am pleased it has been such a positive experience for you all and your grandma is happy here and settling in well
My grandma was only at Watermead for a couple of weeks, but the care she received was exceptional, also we as a family were treated very kindly, nothing was too much trouble, even allowing a large amount of family to visit all at once. I will be eternally grateful for their care and compassion.

My mum, unfortunately, fell over Christmas injuring her hip and mobility in the process, as she lives in a different city I had to find a care home that had immediate availability for initial respite care to allow my mum to be looked after by care professionals in a safe environment. Watermead Rose Nursing Home is a brand new facility in Leicester and the service we received from the initial conversation, and site tour to placing my mum in the care home on an initial respite, temporary basis, has been brilliant. The facilities and decor is ultra-modern and the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly. All the latest mod cons are available from luxury half baths to hobby/lounge areas and even a cinema room. The care and the support she has in terms of regaining her confidence and mobility has been very reassuring. She gets a wide variety of food and the cook works with the residents to make them freshly prepared food on a daily basis. My mum is now a permanent resident in the care home.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are delighted that your experience of Watermead has been so positive and that your mum is well cared for and has become a permanent resident with us.

My name is Barry, and I am one of the Resident Ambassadors at Watermead Rose Care and Nursing Home. I used to be the Deputy Warden at St. Mary's Church. I used to enjoy amateur dramatics and was a member of The Falcon Players for many years at Stamford Hall Theatre in Leicester. I really enjoy living here at Watermead Rose and can still enjoy my hobbies of poetry, piano music and supporting Leicester City FC. I feel respected and listened to. The Care staff are always ready and willing to help. The whole home is beautifully decorated. The rooms are very generous and comfortable. The cuisine is excellent. Everyone is welcome here, and it has been lovely to become friends with the other residents and the staff. Christina is great and arranges lots of activities; there is always something going on. I really enjoy the quizzes. Watermead Rose should be at the top of the list for anyone looking. Please come and say hello when you are visiting.
