Walking through the doors for the first time was very calming. The staff were helpful and made us feel welcome. My sister was shown around and into her lovely clean and fresh bedroom. The food looked appetising and the smell was lovely. So pleased with it all, the staff smiling and helpful. Any problems the staff had, they talk to us and help my sister feel at home. So pleased with it all.

Kings Court is a beautiful care home. Whenever I visit the atmosphere is always pleasant and the residents are well cared for. My sister-in-law's room is always very clean and tidy, it looks well-kept. I would not hesitate to recommend Kings Court to family and friends, the staff are very caring and always listen to our concerns and keep us informed of my sister-in-law's progress. Well done and keep it up.

Overall Experience

This is the second time my friend has stayed for respite care at Kings Court in Newark. I have been a regular visitor on both occasions. I have found the staff to be very caring and friendly, my friend was made to feel very welcome and cared for by all of them. The place, quite honestly is like a 5-star hotel, the food is excellent and visitors are encouraged to stay for a meal with the residents. The rooms are spacious and comfortable and there are lounges and outside spaces in the garden to sit as well. All in all I would be very happy to have my relative/friend stay there and would hope that if the need should arise in my future there would be space for me to stay there too.

A very hard and emotional decision to move Mum to Kings Court but a good one! Mum has settled very well, helped by supportive staff and twice daily activities that take place. Mum is treated with dignity and respect. Has a lovely spacious room with an excellent ensuite. There are numerous areas to sit and chat and even a cinema room! Mum is very happy and we have peace of mind

Mum became a resident at Kings Court on May 10th. She has a particularly traumatic experience in hospital and a local rehab centre. In her words, she no longer wished to be alive. The care staff and support (everyone) here gently and considerately nursed her back to her 'old self'. She is beginning to really enjoy life again. Yesterday she took part in chair yoga. She talks about how grateful sand lucky she is to be at Kings Court. I cannot thank the staff enough.

Our experience was brilliant. It isn't like a care home, it's more like a luxury hotel! My mum went in for short-term care, and they really helped with her, she wasn't talking at all when she first went in after being in the hospital, but after a few weeks, we could see the difference. They were really good with her. The actual care home is second to none, you cannot fault it. The activities, the surroundings, the rooms, the food, the list is endless! And all the staff show a lot of warmth towards the residents.
It was comforting to know she was being so well looked after. They were also excellent at keeping you informed of anything to do with Mum.
We were invited to dine with Mum on Christmas day, and what a lovely day it was, the staff did such a good job, it was very relaxed as always, the food was good, and it was great.

They are doing a great job.

The care home management team are informative and very welcoming. The staff are also very friendly and engaging with both residents and family members. The rooms are spacious and well appointed with excellent lounge and dining facilities. The respite care that my in-laws have received has been excellent and we couldn't have asked for more. As a family, we are very grateful that they are in a safe and caring environment which gives us peace of mind.

Very welcoming staff when Mum and Dad first arrived and very good, attentive care since. Plenty of staff and carers who look after Mum and Dad really well. Varied activities to keep them busy and in very welcoming, modern, bright environment. New facilities with excellent rooms, communal spaces, TV's and areas to relax. Very happy that Mum and Dad are in a nice, caring and comfortable place to live.

Initial assessments, care plans and liaison with the hospital when Mum was discharged was excellent which gave ys a lot of confidence and peace of mind.

I received a very warm welcome from the friendly staff. Kings Court has a very relaxed feel about it and is more like a hotel than a care home. It was very clean and well-furnished. My friend was very happy during her stay and actually extended it by another week. I would definitely recommend it to friends and family.

My 100-year-old father spent 10 weeks here. He had a wonderful suite, beautifully appointed. The staff were marvellous, they spent lots of time with him chatting about his long life and achievements. The personal care was extraordinary, everybody gave much more, above and beyond the call of duty. The meals were carefully thought out and beautifully cooked, catering to individual needs - he enjoyed his glass of wine with his dinner! His dignity was respected at all times - Thank you for all you did for him.
