My father came for respite care after a stay in hospital. He was looked after with care and kindness by all members of the staff. The facilities were excellent, food was good. I would happily recommend Cambridge Grove Care Home to friends and family should respite care or indeed, a care home be needed.
I felt reassured when I left him after visits that he was in a safe and caring place.

From entering Cambridge Grove Care Home when we came to visit to look around, we were struck at how beautiful the Grove smelt and how clean it was. My mother spent two weeks in Cambridge Grove for respite care after a hospital stay. The whole experience from start to finish for us as a family was very positive despite the inevitably emotional circumstances. The team were responsive, kind and welcoming. They supported our family as we reviewed the
options and they were attentive to our mother's needs and preferences. The staff work hard to ensure that residents are given opportunities to socialise and the quality of care was good. Excellent record keeping meant we were kept well informed of our mother's progress. At the end of the two weeks, mum was well enough to return home but we would not hesitate to reconsider the Cambridge Grove for future stays - either for respite or permanent residence.

My father in law moved into Cambridge Grove Care Home in October 2024 following a stay in hospital due to acute delirium. He has early stage Alzheimer's.
We chose Cambridge Grove after visiting a few homes in the area and it was a great decision. The staff are excellent, both the managerial and front
of house staff, to the carers, and to the cooks and other staff. The manager, a trained nurse, is excellent, as are all his key staff. The whole team are happy and engaged, which makes the place feel welcoming.
Visiting the home, you see residents busy either doing a scheduled activity or talking to each other, visitors, or staff.
Meals are good, we've eaten there a few times ourselves. Facilities are new, it was built under the manager's supervision a year ago. It's furnished like a luxury hotel.
We're moving my father in law back to his home, and the team have supported this goal strongly. The fact he knows he can go back is giving him confidence to try moving home.

Since my sister moved to Cambridge Grove Care Home recently my wife and I have visited her twice and have been very impressed with the care home. The staff are very caring and friendly and have always been very helpful. The home itself is very well appointed with all mod-cons and residents with various

Excellent care and excellent staff who are always happy in their work. Nothing is too much trouble.
I have enjoyed the singing, which has been brilliant and particularly the exercise man too.
Unfortunately, I have found some of the food to be cold at times (chips and jacket potato), the grounds
and setting are really nice and its good to see the rabbits and squirrels etc.

It starts with the design and architecture - Its generous corridors and well-appointed rooms generate a calm and welcoming atmosphere. I simply cannot fault the management and wonderful caring staff of this care home. The only minor issues are as follows.
1. My mum hasn't liked some of the food, though she now believes that a new chef has started this weekend, who has been a big improvement.
2. I think on the food front more fruit
should be offered.
3. Two of the handless on Mum's cupboard and drawers are loose on one side and have been hanging down, which I have pressed back on, I will check again later today. I stress these are minor issues only!

She thrives on ensuring residents enjoy a happy and engaging experience, from making new friends to rediscovering old hobbies and exploring new interests.
