I took my friend there for a daycare service and wow. That place is so beautiful and amazing. I cannot believe a person can go there for a coffee and pastry and for free. The staff was so nice and friendly.
Never knew there was such a place.

My stay was only for two weeks. Everyone was caring and respectful. Once I went home, my husband stayed for 8 weeks, which I felt happy to leave him. The food was very little choice, as I am a vegetarian, which could have been a lot better. My husband had the soup every day. My husband is being kept
nice and clean and seems happy!

Apart from visiting friends in two other care homes, the Cambridge Grove is far superior in every aspect. Spacious accommodation, well kept gardens with level and firm footpaths and many seating areas.

My friends were looked after very well. My friend was in after a knee operation to give her rest. The staff were very kind and respectful. Family and friends were also made to feel very welcome. The food was very hit-and-miss, not always the best. The entertainment was excellent, something for everyone.

I am very pleased and happy that we chose Cambridge Grove as my sister-in-law's home. She has been here for six weeks and has settled in very well. The staff are very kind and caring, very supportive. I am very impressed with all of the activities each day. The home is very comfortable with plenty of
lovely sitting rooms and nicely furnished. I had lunch with my sister-in-law today and enjoyed the food, very nicely prepared and very tasty. Safety and security are very important at the home.

What a fabulous place, I came to visit a resident. From entering the home, what a wonderful welcome, the atmosphere was so welcoming. The staff was so fantastic, and the bistro and views of the garden were so beautiful. I would highly recommend this place, I was shocked that they have private physio
and even for people not at home.

My mum and dad have been with the Cambridge Grove team for nearly four months, but sadly our mum passed whilst being with them; her wishes were to have her last few days in the home as they were like her extended family! The care and compassion the whole team gave my mum in her last days and hours,
along with the attention to all our family members whilst visiting, will stay with me forever! Class personified in every little detail, and a huge thank you for everything they did for our mum, and whilst dad is still living there with Alzheimer's, as we know as a family he will be royally looked after. A massive thank you for your tenderness and support from all of our family. Couldn't have wished for any more - a first-class team of professionals who care about their jobs, and I would recommend this care home to anyone.
Reply from Rex Pudol, General Manager at Cambridge Grove Care HomeThank you for your kind words, we pride ourselves on delivering the very best care and support and are privileged that we were able to support your mum here at Cambridge and that we can continue to look after your father.

My overall experience for my first stay ever at a residential care home Cambridge Grove was very positive.
In my opinion, some of the caring staff needed to gain more experience in handling stroke patients nevertheless, they did excellent work on my needs.

My Mum has been very happy at Cambridge Grove. She has nothing but praise for all the staff, she enjoys. The many and varied activities and she loves the fantastic food!
We were not sure whether she would take to a care home environment but she has been very settled from the start and says she is happy
to stay forever. We can't thank the staff enough.

Current Review Score: 9.9 (9.889)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.889) out of 10 for Cambridge Grove Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 75 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 75 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.889 for Cambridge Grove Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (802 Excellents x 5) + (79 Goods x 4) + (10 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 891 Ratings = 4.889
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Cambridge Grove Care Home is based on 75 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 72 registered maximum number of service users is 14.4, which has been reached with 75 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
